In a world where Rock N Roll is taking a back seat, Laz and Felipe, two touring Rock musicians, analyse, review and discuss the most notable and important albums in Rock N Roll history and why the artists who created them are so significant. With album reviews, musical analysis and band-specific discussions/debates; this show will give you an insight into these remarkable releases and momentous occasions from the perspective of a young British bass player and a seasoned Brazilian drummer - each with vastly different backgrounds, opinions and musical experiences, but both with a passion, understanding and deep love for the music. Long live Rock N Roll.

Mark Ellen and David Hepworth have been talking about and writing about music together and individually for a collective eighty years in magazines like Smash Hits, Mojo and The Word and on radio and TV programmes like "Rock On", "Whistle Test" and VH-1.
Over thirteen years ago, when working on the late magazine The Word, they began producing podcasts. Some listeners have been kind enough to say these have been very special to them. When the magazine folded in 2012 they kept the spirit of those podcasts alive in regular Word In Your Ear evenings in which they spoke to musicians and authors in front of an audience.
Over these years they've produced hundreds of hours of material. As of the Current Unpleasantness of 2020, they've produced yet hundreds of hours more with a little help from guests kind enough to digitally show them around their attics such as Danny Baker, Andy Partridge, Sir Tim Rice and Mark Lewisohn. A Podcast where a Dad educates his Daughter on 80s music now that she's old enough to appreciate the songs and videos that she used to associate as outdated, rubbish music when being subjected to it in the car on the way to school.
Each week Rebekah will listen to some 80s musicians her Dad, Russell, recommends and will then discuss on the Podcast what she thought of the songs, videos and image of the musicians. Russell will share information on chart placing and overall success of the singer/band.
We will find out if Rebekah thinks the music has stood the test of time as she gives her verdict as to whether it's a hit or a miss! -
