Susan French is my guest here and she has a lot to share on how stress can be a big catalyst in disease. She has become a leader in the holistic health world. We chat about childhood trauma, stress, and how to heal from it. She's got some great ideas on how to minimize stress, eat a healthy diet, and practices on self care. We all have stress but learning how to manage it is key.
BIO on Susan:
After working exclusively with individuals and couples, Susan noted that most of the healing came from the initial “Tier One” information that she provided – basic details about a person’s physiology and function, nutrition, and the effects of external influences. Once understood, her clients find that making healthier lifestyle choices makes sense – and championing their own best well-being can become second nature. Simple modifications led to lower blood sugar levels, improved liver function, better sleep, desired weight loss, and reduced anxiety, depression, brain fog, and fatigue – along with many other health benefits.
Susan wanted to reach more people and empower them with this basic – life-improving – information. Understanding that employers would benefit from a healthier workforce, and the workforce would benefit from a healthier life and that groups in general benefit from the build-in support, Susan worked to create adaptable, easy-to-understand, information-packed group programs.
Her grasp of business, knowledge of functional nutrition, desire to empower people via education, and her comfort in providing helpful instruction combine to make Susan a rare, relatable, and empathetic leader and educator.

SUGAR. This was hard for me to give up and it's hard for most people. I chat about an easier way! Here is a list of reasons to give up sugar:
Weight Management: Reducing sugar intake can help prevent excess calorie consumption, aiding in weight loss or maintenance. Sugar, turns into fat in your body.
Improved Energy Levels: Cutting sugar can stabilize energy levels, reducing the spikes and crashes associated with high sugar intake.
Reduced Risk of Chronic Diseases and Healing: Of course!!! High sugar intake contributes to chronic inflammation. Your body will run much more efficiently without it.
Improved Skin Health: Sugar can aggravate skin conditions like acne; cutting it out may result in clearer skin.
Stronger Immune System: High sugar intake can weaken the immune system; reducing sugar may enhance overall immunity.
Better Sleep: A low-sugar diet can improve sleep quality, leading to better overall rest and recovery.
Better Mood: A high-sugar diet can contribute to mood swings and anxiety; reducing sugar may lead to improved mental health.Healthier Eating Habits: Reducing sugar can lead to a preference for whole, nutrient-dense foods, improving overall diet quality.
I originally gave up sugar the hard way, but I want you to do it the easier way. I give you easier steps to do it in this episode. When you do this, you will feel and look so much better! You may have to buy skinner pants and your skin will most likely glow! You'll sleep better and have more energy too! How fun would that be???

CallyRae Bio
With over 25 years of experience in the fields of speech language pathology, human development, neurological retraining, and nutrition, Callyrae has an all too familiar relationship with SAD (Standard American Diet and lifestyle). After years of chronic pain and infections gone wild, she found healing in the strangest of places...food! In 2011, she sold my private practice and began a new journey from surviving to thriving with autoimmune diseases.
She believes that every individual is the expert in their body. Each of us is unique but we share common characteristics and behaviors that are universal. The body is designed to heal if given the environment to do so. Recognizing the power within you and around you, and applying intentional choices throughout your day, creates a lifestyle that supports healing and leads to thriving vitality.
Living WOW is the antithesis of SAD. Living WOW is the lifestyle that creates the environment for your body to naturally heal. CallyRae has gone from a transformation coach to a lifestyle engineer where it is no longer about surviving autoimmune disease but rather thriving regardless of a label or circumstance that has been given to you. Teaching her clients is a framework to apply to become the expert in your body is her gift to you.

Belief is so important in knowing you can heal your autoimmune condition. If you don't believe you can do it, you won't heal. There are so many who don't believe they can heal themselves through diet and lifestyle because they're conditioned to listen and believe their western doctor. Unfortunately, our typical western physician (at least in the US) either gets very little education on diet and lifestyle or none at all. This is difficult when we are programed to believe our doctor. This is what we have been taught to do!
I've reversed all of my MS symptoms after doing my own research. I've written a book and interviewed 11 others who also did it! I'm currently writing another book and including people that have healed their autoimmune disease (other than MS). I've interviewed at least seven people so far and these people are everywhere! Some of these incredible people have turned into nutritionists or certified health coaches like me to help those who are suffering, get their healthy life back.
Believe!
Once you believe, learn about diet and lifestyle so you can start taking action!
I would be honored to help.
You can also check out my website. I have a lot of free information-check out blogs, etc.
I've started two websites to help you get back to health too with healthy tips!

There's a plethora of reasons why autoimmune reasons appear and I line them out in this episode. The good news is that you can heal! I give many "how to" start healing examples in many different ways. It took me a couple of years to learn why 3. autoimmune conditions happen in the first place. Once I healed myself, I was do driven to learn more about health. Digging into nutrition and really understanding how whole foods are needed for our bodies and how to eradicate toxins. Most Americans don't get the nutrition that is needed. We are not educated on how foods can harm or heal. And...most western doctors don't tell us—they don't get a deep education on diet. In essence, we need to be our own doctor. We don't require unnecessary drugs—in fact we can heal without them!
What you'll listen to:
Intro: Gratitude - Learning that I could heal myself!
Why we get autoimmune diseases:
1. Leaky gut
2. Food toxins
3. Eating Whole Foods
4. Eradicating and avoiding other toxins
5. End or set big boundaries to toxic relationships
6. Heal infections
7. Mitigate stress
8. Heal past traumas
9. Move your body
With this journey, I've written a cookbook, Nourish Your Way to Health
and a paperback book, The Path to Reverse Multiple Sclerosois.

Did you you know that trauma can play a big part as to why some people have autoimmune diseases? This episode may be an eye opener for you.
After I had healed 100% of my multiple sclerosis with diet I had learned that childhood trauma, for me, played a part in it. I later wrote a book called The Path to Reverse Multiple Sclerosis Naturally. I had interviewed many people who healed their autoimmune disease naturally. I learned to much form these brave souls!
I finally had a question answered as to why more women (80%) are diagnosed with autoimmune diseases over men. Now it all makes sense!
1:49 - The ACE (Adverse Childhood Experiences)
6:57 - Letting go and setting boundaries
10:00 - Types of trauma
11:40 - Ideas on healing trauma
13:37 - A big virtual hug!
If you'd like to start healing with food, my cookbook, is a great start!

This episode is my 1st one- Hooray!!! I'd been humming and hawing about it for months and finally told myself, "Just do it already!"
What you're listening to is my friend, Allyson Brown, who interviewed ME on a platform I created. I named it The Autoimmune Summit and had interviewed 14 other wellness professionals who had deep smarts with healing autoimmune diseases—many had reversed their own autoimmune conditions. These respected wellness leaders were other health coaches, functional nutrition practitioners, nutritionists, a yoga master, a laser specialist, an acupuncturist, and others in the wellness field. These video recordings went out to about 200 people who signed up to receive them. I received a lot of positive feedback and it was so much fun to connect with like-minded people.
Enjoy listening to MY story. I had felt MS symptoms when I was 28 years old then again when I turned 45. When I was diagnosed at 45, it was scary and devastating at the time. Thinking a wheelchair was in my near future, I was frightened to know that my health insurance company didn't cover any major drugs like ones connected with MS. I learned that the least expensive drug in 2015 was about $55K a year up to just under $100K. I learned that yes, insurance companies cover a lot of these medications, but usually not the full amount. Some patients spend thousands of dollars monthly to take these drugs when they don't reverse the diagnosis.
As you listen to my story, I had a revelation that I could heal myself without taking medication. This was so empowering to me! After I healed all of my symptoms (even the blind spot in my left eye), I knew I had to tell people about this new acquired knowledge. So many don't know that healing naturally is possible! It's my passion and mission to keep sharing this information.
With this journey, I've written a cookbook, Nourish Your Way to Health
and a paperback book, The Path to Reverse Multiple Sclerosois.
