This week, we dive into Gossip Girl season 1, episode 17, titled “Woman on the Verge”. Original air date: May 12, 2008.
Join us as we dissect the drama, romance, and sometimes questionable fashion choices from this iconic 2007 series. We break down the intense moments with Serena, the non-judging breakfast club dynamics, and the shocking revelations that keep us on the edge of our seats. Plus, we discuss the deeper emotional moments, like Lily’s conflicting emotions and the unexpected alliances that form to take down Georgina.
The TWoP Bayliss recap reads: Spotted Lisa Loeb looking exactly the same way she always has, singing the song she's always sung and playing host to Rufus and Lily's reconciliation and boot knocking. That part was awesome because, of course, their sad Laura Ashley lunchbox purse love could only be reignited at the where-are-they-now party for the lame 90s bands. It also goes well with the storyline, which is straight out of Boy Meets World.

This week the guys break down Gossip Girl season 1, episode 14 titled “The Blair Bitch Project”. Original air date April 21st, 2008.
The TWoP episode description reads: Way too long previouslies, about which I am of two minds, because on the one hand it's nice to be reminded, I guess, but are we still pretending that recaps are for people who missed the previous episode or episodes? The longer the previouslies, the more likely it is that a new viewer is going to throw up her hands and say that this show is too hard. When the fact is, to understand this episode, you only have to know that Blair is a bitch and got totally boned, in a social context, and that Jenny is an idiot, and is asking to be destroyed. And to enjoy the episode, you need less than that: just eyes, a heart, and a love of bright colors. And, you know, best episode title possibly ever, so there's that too.

This week the guys break down Gossip Girl season 1, episode 13 titled “A Thin Line Between Chuck and Nate”. Original air date January 9th, 2008.
The TWoP episode description reads: Spotted: Serena van der Woodsen, buying a pregnancy test after finally swiping Lonelyboy's V-card. But before anybody can bring her down, a chance mention of Blair's affair with Chuck hits GG.net, and pretty soon everybody knows it's B that's having the pregnancy scare -- and that she has no idea who the father might be. In short order, Nate and Chuck break up and Blair gets dumped by everybody, from her boyfriends to Serena herself.

This week the guys break down season 1, episode 12, titled, School Lies.
The TWoP episode description reads: Serena, Blair, Nate, Chuck and "their entourage," whatever that means, break into the school swimming pool for a night of fun that leaves somebody nearly dead. The ringleader is threatened with expulsion, so everybody agrees to a secret pact of silence. There is then major tension between Serena, Dan, and Dan's self-important sense of heroism: will he take the fall and risk returning to DUMBO forever? Where he belongs? Vanessa expands her creeping, stalking and otherwise boundary-ignoring bullshit to include Blair and Chuck talking about their hot affair. Less hot: Lily contemplating telling Rufus how she really feels about him, for the twelfth week in a row.
