Filmed Live Musicals: The Podcast is, like the website that it accompanies, amazingly-thorough, packed with info, insights, and creative inquiry, owing to the voluminous knowledge of the host, Luisa Lyons, and that of her fabulous guests. With the advent of the pandemic, the world of filmed live musicals has taken on a major role, as the theatre world explores alternatives to in-person attendance. As a result, the already-exciting landscape of great musical theatre to be found online (which Lyons’ database website can clue you into) is now even more-vital and important. All that aside, Luisa is a smart, clever, and charming host and her magnetic personality and love of the material bring out the best from her guests. Hollywood secrets... anonymously told.
"You'll never work in this town again."
For decades, those words -- or the sentiment behind them -- have cloaked all manner of evil in the entertainment industry.
As the #MeToo, #TimesUp, #PayUpHollywood, and many other movements demonstrate, times are changing. Yet there are countless things happening behind closed doors that people feel they can't talk about and wish they could.
This podcast changes all that. Actors, writers, crew members and support staffers reveal their wildest behind-the-scenes secrets on this podcast in total anonymity. And then you get to listen to their stories.
Hosted by writer-producers Meagan Daine and J.R. Zamora-Thal, the Hollywood Confessional is a biweekly podcast by Ninth Way Media. New episodes drop every other Thursday. Subscribe on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts. Connect on social media @fessuphollywood! -

The Film Director's Craft is a discussion with contemporary film directors with a focus on what directors do (how they run rehearsal, how they talk to actors and creatives, etc) rather than on what they create. The goal is to talk to contemporary filmmakers whose techniques may be more current and collaborative than the 20th-century hierarchical model of directing that is still emphasized in some film programs and in pop culture. This is not primarily a discussion of filmmakers' content, representation, themes, style, or personal biography -- there are plenty of good resources for that. It is a discussion about the nuts and bolts of how they work. Interviewer Rachel Carey is a filmmaker and the director of 2019's narrative feature Ask for Jane. She has taught the Film Director's Craft as a seminar course at Yale University, and teaching the course made her realize the lack of good interviews with contemporary directors about hands-on craft questions. Feel free to follow the channel here or on Twitter (https://twitter.com/director_craft) for updates about when a new episode comes out.

Impromptu, upbeat, casual conversations featuring actors Jordan Woods-Robinson (The Walking Dead, Homeland, Blue Man Group) and Adam Vernier (Outer Banks, Queen Sugar, Outcast) asking professionals from all over the Film and TV Industry "How did you get your card?" Guests will share personal stories, industry insights, and professional observations before being asked a question written by the previous episode's guest. This question may be professional, personal, abstract, or literal, but it will be unknown until the moment it is asked... and then we'll see where it goes. Hosted by Book From Tape Acting Studios.
