Karishma Gupta is in the Fourth year of Five years as a radiology resident at the University of Washington. She has decided to pursue a fellowship in abdominal imaging, which is basically imaging of anatomy below the diaphragm. Her interests right now include the genitourinary system, specifically endometriosis in women. She finds through this, that she can be an advocate for female reproductive health, as endometriosis is a significantly underdiagnosed condition which is estimated to affect up to 50% of women. She says she can be an artist, a detective, a techie, an intellect, a patient advocate, and a doctor’s doctor.

Veterinary Medicine is a challenging practice. Most patients don’t purchase insurance so discussing costs sucks up time and is not pleasant. The number of Veterinary Medicine schools are also low in the US.
Hear Sneha talk about these challenges as well as her experience. It’s worth it.
