If you’ve followed Cleere Reaves, who you probably know as CleerelyStated, on Instagram for even just 5 minutes, you know she has the gift of putting into words what God is laying on our hearts. From almost a collective, societal perspective! I don’t know how, but she does. It is a miraculous thing.
And my conversation with her felt like her writing coming to life. If you’re ready for a girl’s girl kind of conversation, wrapped with God’s Truth about who HE says you are, and also feels kind of like a calming hug because someone GETS you, then signed, sealed delivered - this episode is yours.
In my chat with Cleere, we cover:
Why obedience is really an invitation and privilege in who you get to become Why it’s important to be courageous twice Why anger can be a hard emotion for women to access The difference between a peacemaker and a peacekeeper How our biggest regrets are not seeking out our full potential of our giftingsI hope you have a big smile on your face after listening to this. Because I know I sure did after having this conversation.

If you love wine, country music, and deep conversation - well, this might just be your new favorite episode.
Today’s guest is Mattie Jackson - author, speaker, and podcaster based in Nashville, TN. With a famous country music artist and songwriter for a father, she took after him in her passion for both writing (albeit, not songwriting :)) and hospitality. But, after Mattie’s husband passed unexpectedly right before their first wedding anniversary, her life came to a screeching halt.
Since then, Mattie has used her gift of writing paired with her story of grief (Best-seller, Lemons on Friday) to not only help others walk through their own journeys, but also to be a beacon of light that that joy can still be found on the other side of grief.
And while Mattie’s words help so many through their trials of tragedy, today’s conversation you’ll also be experiencing other sides of Mattie's personality. We are chatting about:
Her two passions of writing and hospitality (wine specifically!), What it was like growing up with a famous father in country music, The journey to her opening a wine bar in Nashville in 2016, The 4 practices to help you walk through grief or tragedy, and Things to think about when you’re going through a time of transition.Mattie also just so happens to be a certified sommelier, so it felt like a missed opportunity if we didn’t do a little wine tasting. So be sure to stay tuned until the end to hear our thoughts on her two, affordable yet impressive wine suggestions in our tasting!

You know those people who have endured through a really difficult experience, but still seem to carry so much joy throughout their life? That is, by definition in my book, Jennifer Jarvis. Jennifer is the owner of the Barlow & Browning brand - an online boutique for women’s clothing. And a space where I am constantly purchasing my new outfits :)
Our paths had a funny way of crossing, and it just feels meant to be. Having the opportunity to learn her story of becoming a single mom, securing a job to provide for her family and then being able to turn that into a full blown brand that she owns today, is exceptionally inspirational.
In today’s episode, we chat about:
The steps Jennifer took to create her own lane How Jennifer turned a tragedy in her life into a purpose to give back How we can continue to pay homage to our grandparents' generation in our daily lives Why we have a CHOICE every morning of who we want to show up to be that day The mantras + mindset that got her through her hardest momentsI hope this episode makes you want to call your mom or grandmother or whoever that person might be to you in this season after listening. I just love how much we chat about where we came from and the memories we really cherished growing up - and how we carry that into our lives still today.

Welcome to the Napkin Notes Podcast! I’m Elizabeth, and I’m so glad you’re here!!
In this inaugural episode, we’re touching on the heartbeat of the show: Finding yourself in adulthood looks a lot like getting back to who we were as a child - and what two things can really hinder us from going for those dreams.
You’ll hear a little bit about how I started my podcast production agency in 2019, what apple trees can teach us about time well spent, and why my mom’s foyer in 1988 made a ‘remarkable impression.’
This space is all about reflecting back so we can move forward … boldly. And sharing the stories of those who have gone before us. I hope you find your place here quickly, because I’m so glad to have you.
We don’t know today what yesterday’s childhood dream may turn into for our reality tomorrow. But what do you say we find out?
