In this episode, Dominique shares her transformative journey towards a healthy relationship with food and how it changed her life. We discuss the societal pressures women face to conform to beauty standards, the importance of self-acceptance at any age, and the impact of negative self-talk that can lead to harmful behaviors like purging and food withholding. Together, we explore various paths to healing, emphasizing the crucial step of trusting someone and opening up about these struggles.
We highlight how gratitude can shift our focus to the goodness our bodies, rather than the negatives. Shame often keeps us isolated, which is why community and sharing our stories are vital for creating connections and support. We all need to know we're not alone.
This conversation addresses the universal battles of self-love and embracing who we are, rather than fixating on what we are not. Whether you're a teen, a new mom, in midlife, or really anywhere in between this episode is for you. You're in good company, my friend.
