    Our day-to-day lives are busy, and in the digital age we currently live, human connection is more important than ever. 

    Today’s meditation will help to offer you a sense of closeness and connection to others to add joy and fulfillment to your life.

    Allow yourself to rest in the breath. 

    Rest in this present moment. 

    PAUSE…

    Allow your awareness to space in the center of your chest, 

    In your heart’s energy center. 

    Focusing all of your energy here. 

    PAUSE…

    Bring to mind a friend, 

    An acquaintance, 

    A colleague, 

    Or even a random stranger.

    PAUSE…

    See this person clearly in your mind.

    PAUSE…

    See the shape of their face, 

    The length of their hair, 

    The outline of their body. 

    PAUSE…

    Although you may look different than this person, 

    Notice the similarities. 

    PAUSE…

    This person has a mind, 

    And a body,

    Just like you. 

    PAUSE…

    This person has feelings, 

    And emotions, 

    Just like you.

    This person has experienced emotional and physical pain, 

    Just like you.

    This person has felt insecure, angry, sad, and unworthy

    Love is infectious. When you spend time with people who are full of love for you, themselves, and others, it’s easy to become more loving yourself.

    Surround yourself with love.

    The kind of love that suggests the person is there for you no matter what.

    The kind of love where honesty and loyalty is natural and effortless.

    We have all made mistakes. Mountains of mistakes. Mistakes that we regret. Mistakes that we don’t want to remember. Mistakes that we’re proud of.  

    Mistakes are a necessary part of life. They’re how we learn, how we grow and how we expand. 

    So today, we’re going to lovingly accept our personal mistakes with grace, compassion and wisdom.

    Allow your eyes to softly close. 

    Come into your heart, 

    And into this present moment.

    Surrender into the stillness that’s here for you. 

    PAUSE…

    Open up the space in your lungs, 

    Breathing in deeply, 

    Holding for 1, 2, 3. 

    And exhaling. ,

    Letting the thoughts and emotions dissolve with every breath out.

    Gently scan your mind for mistakes you’ve made in the recent days. 

    Nothing is too small, or big.

    Maybe you forgot to send your child’s lunch to school, 

    Or the permission slip didn’t make its way into their backpack.

    Perhaps you lashed out at the cashier because you were in a hurry,

    You made a mistake and accused someone of something they weren’t guilty of, 

    You barked at someone you love. 

    Or you were rude and nasty to a dear friend.

    Notice how it feels even bringing it to mind.

    Releasing any judgments, tune in and feel the love and compassion that inhabits your heart.

    Creating and honoring our boundaries can be tricky. 

    Because as we change,

    They change.  

    PAUSE…

    And sometimes we create a boundary,

    It doesn’t end up feeling right.  

    PAUSE…

    But if we tune into ourselves,

    We can feel into our boundaries. 

    PAUSE…

    We can feel when saying yes feels good or not. 

    We can feel when a routine is working or not. 

    We can feel when we need more space or time. 

    PAUSE…

    So let’s spend some time today, 

    Sitting with ourselves, 

    Feeling into our boundaries. 

    So relax,

    And let yourself find your rhythm.

    See if you can recall a time recently when you said yes,

    And then regretted it.

    Tune into that feeling in your belly,

    And be here with it.

    Now, see if you can remember a time,

    When you chose to give yourself extra time,

    When we get stuck in our own opinion or feel that our opinions are the only answer, we close ourselves off to diverse thoughts and ideas, and often sacrifice empathy and compassion.  

    Our relationships can deteriorate as our need to be right kills our connections. 

    So today we’ll lean into a willingness to let go of our need to be right all the time. 

    A WILLINGNESS TO LET GO OF NEEDING TO BE RIGHT MORNING MEDITATION SCRIPT

    At the heart of kindness, is letting other people be who they are.

    It’s about acceptance, 

    And holding out a compassionate hand, 

    By being there for someone, 

    No matter who is right or who is wrong.

    PAUSE…

    It’s not easy to let go of needing to be right, 

    But all that is needed is a small amount of willingness. 

    PAUSE…

    A willingness to let others be who they are. 

    A willingness to be happy, 

    Rather than right. 

    PAUSE…

    A willingness to become curious about how another person feels, 

    A willingness to see that holding different thoughts and opinions, 

    And conversing with different personalities is what makes life interesting.

    A willingness to see the beauty in diversity because it's what sparks change and growth. 

    PAUSE…

    Take a moment now to relax your body. 

    Dropping your shoulders, 

    Relaxing your forehead,

    Anchoring into your breath. 

    PAUSE…

    Open yourself.

    And be willing,

    To let go of your need to be right.

    Close your eyes, 

    And settle yourself in. 

    PAUSE…

    Sink into the softness of your bed,

    And take a moment to notice how your skin feels,

    Against the gentle touch of your sheets or blankets. 

    PAUSE…

    Let them soothe you,

    And soften you. 

    As you sink deeper into the comfort of your bed.

    The energy swims around you, 

    Buzzing with things left undone, 

    And details to be organized. 

    PAUSE…

    Just notice it here,

    Watching the energy spin,

    Wanting your attention.

    Blue, yellow and red streaks of light,

    Chattering,

    Singing,

    Dancing.

    The noise of the day hovers, 

    Wanting to stay.

    So breathe in deeply,

    And watch as it interrupts the movement,

    And begins to dissolve the thoughts.

    Breathe deeply again, 

    Shifting your focus onto your breath,

    Onto the sweet hums of air coming in,

    And coming out of your lungs.

    And notice the lightness you feel,

    As little by little,

    The energy of the day dims,

    And dissolves.

    Sink deeper now, 

    Into your welcoming bed. 

    Let it embrace you,

    And carry you into the night.

    Safe,

    Light, 

    And free.

    Release them now, 

    Any plans, 

    Or thoughts,

    Or emotions,

    That want to hold you here,

    “Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right.” Henry Ford.

    I love this quote by Henry Ford because it gives voice to how powerful our thoughts are and how they literally shape our lives. Meditation can be a powerful practice to manage our thoughts; letting go of the ones that are disempowering, and holding onto the ones that are beneficial.  

    So settle in,

    And place your hand on your heart.

    Notice the warmth that is created here.

    Notice the slow movement of your chest as you breathe.

    Notice your body softening,

    And relaxing. 

    As you bring yourself here into this moment.

    What do you need right now?

    This is the guiding question of self-love.

    Sit or lie where you are most comfortable. 

    Gently close your eyes now. 

    PAUSE…

    Allow your breath to breathe your body naturally, 

    Making no effort to control it. 

    Simply let your breath flow easily.

    PAUSE…

    Notice how your body moves with each inhale and exhale. 

    How your body moves as you breathe.  

    PAUSE…

    If your mind wanders, return your focus back to your breath.

    PAUSE…

    See if you can imagine a space at the very center of you.

    PAUSE…

    It’s quiet here,

    And still. 

    PAUSE…

    Breathe into this space,

    And feel it expand within you.

    Dissolving the noise,

    And spreading peace within you.

    Begin by taking a few deep, slow breaths.
    PAUSE...
    Then close your eyes,
    Allow your awareness to center in on your breathing.
    PAUSE...
    Honor the breath of life,
    going in and out.

    In and out.

    We are connected.
    To each other.
    To Mother Earth.
    To the Universe.

    So allow yourself to settle, 
    And connect deeply to the support beneath you.

    See if you can imagine,
    A warm energy connecting you to the Earth below you.

    You can slowly see a deep root system below you,
    Connecting you to the plants,
    The animals,
    And the waters.
    Feel into this connection,

    Melt into the magical place of sleep,

    Where your dreams can dance and play, 

    With no limits or boundaries,

    The worries are heavy tonight, my love. Racing around in your mind and pulling you away from this moment.  

    So lay down in your bed and let them melt away, as you anchor yourself in the present moment and allow your body to rest.

    So let yourself slither around in your bed until you find the sleeping position you love the most.

    Take a deep breath in when you find it,

    And then exhale and settle even deeper into your bed.

    Be here.

    With the stillness of the night.

    And allow its cool, calm silence to isolate those thoughts racing through your mind. 

    Those worries,

    Anxieties, 

    Stresses,

    Fears. 

    They are the ones in rigorous motion against the backdrop of the stillness.

    PAUSE…

    Thoughts.

    Stories.

    Emotions.

    That’s all they are. 

    They are not you.

    What’s true is this moment.  

    This breath.

    You. Here on your bed. 

    Alive. Breathing.  

    So allow yourself to separate them from you,

    All these worries.

    Inviting them to exit the rapid movement inside your head,

    And enter the stillness of the night. 

    This moment of presence,

    Where the worries cannot exist. 

    Watch them dissolve in the space around you,

    The tiny grains of sand spilling from them until nothing is left. 

    Release the worries into the peaceful presence of the night.

    LONG PAUSE...

    Feel the deep relaxation of your body as the worries dissolve.

    It melts into the arms of the night,

    Releasing its need to control,

    Or be ready,

    Or fight.

    And instead softens,

    Trusts,

    And surrenders.

    Relax and release.

    PAUSE…

    It’s time to sleep.

    So breathe…

    In and out,

    And fall into the depths of the night.

    “See yourself living in abundance and you will attract it.”

    This quote by Bob Proctor infuses the intention of tonight’s meditation, which is to soothe yourself to sleep as you swim in the visions of your abundant, prosperous life. 

    So let’s begin by inviting your body to settle into your bed,

    Allowing it to move around a bit, free to find comfort in whatever position feels best for you. 

    And when you find it, 

    Take a big, deep breath in, feeling the air go deep into every part of your body,

    And then exhale all the air out. 

    Take one more deep breath in, filling up your chest and belly with cool, cleansing air,

    And then breathe it out, 

    And sink deeper into your position.

    PAUSE…

    Be here.

    And breathe.

    Your attention on the simple and miraculous motion of your breathing.

    The soothing rhythm,

    The soft tingling that eventually fills your body as the oxygen floods you.

    The calmness that arises after every breath out.

    Breathe…

    And be still.

    Breathe…

    And be here.

    Deeply relaxed.

    Releasing any thoughts,

    Any emotions,

    As you breathe.

    PAUSE…

    Prosperity begins with gratitude for what we already have.

    So invite yourself to take some time to swim in the fullness of your blessings.

    Imagining them floating around you now as your heart smiles with thanks.

    Gratitude for your health,

    Your family and friends,

    Your shelter and all the things that make your life yours right now.

    Be thankful and feel prosperous now.
