    From Christie:

"I'm Christie Cotcher (Chris-tie Cot-cher), she/her, a Professionals' Self-Care Coach, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and Owner of Christie Cotcher Coaching and Consulting in the Bay Area of Northern California. My coaching approach has been deeply informed by my undergraduate training in Psychology, my Master's Degree in Counseling, 10+ years as a Marriage and Family Therapist, and training professionals on efficiency and self-care to increase their sustainability and enjoyment of their careers.

Identity: I identify with folks that serve others, mental health, and communities that acknowledge the influence of systemic and oppressive factors that feed our distress and burnout, that help us to recognize and counteract the internalization of capitalism while still existing in that system, and acknowledge the impact of stacking multiple layers of oppression onto our well-being, with a lens of intersectional feminism.

Expertise: I specialize in helping clinicians, health care workers, and professionals to identify their symptoms of burnout and create first and second-order levels of change to address their needs, particularly around sources of resentment and in creating more sustainable solutions moving forward, including implementing boundaries, self-care practices and work-life integration techniques. I also coach professionals on developing financial literacy, including the fundamentals and FIRE techniques in particular, so they are empowered to pursue their pragmatic solutions.

Projects: I will be hosting upcoming seminars on pre-, inter-, and post-vention techniques to address burnout, using Positive Psychology interventions to support resiliency and well-being, and financial literacy 101.

Like to Know: I transitioned to coaching two years ago to specifically focus on supporting clinicians, health care workers and professionals' self-care practices and I am loving helping folks discover and implement manageable and pragmatic steps to support their well-being and career longevity. I live in a custom built Tiny House on Wheels and love the freedom and flexibility this unconventional lifestyle affords me.
