  • I was luckily enough this week to interview Chris Huriwai from Aotearoa (so-called New Zealand)

Chris is an activist, content creator, co-founder of the Aotearoa liberation league and three-time street unicycle world champion.

Chris also works with the vegan society and he is the co-producer and main narrator of the recent documentary film MILKED that takes a targeted looked at the New Zealand dairy industry. It came out in November last year and has already taken out awards at the Germany international film festival, the IndieFEST film awards and the Spotlight Documentary film awards.

And even received a rave from James Cameron who called it “A powerful wake up call that the world is getting milked”

Chris and I talked about online activism, bringing humour into the conversation, vegan content on Tik Tok, YouTube and Facebook. We also touched on decolonalising diets and practicing intersectional veganism.

With the dumpster fire of year that 2020 has been many of us have developed an unhealthy relationship with alcohol, when you’re working from home you tend to start having that knock off drink earlier and earlier.
