This week Neil “The Heel” Glazier and Matthew Maschler are thrilled to host Tim Snow and Jay Brandt of The George Snow Scholarship Fund to the Matthew Mania Podcast to talk about Boca’s Ballroom Battle scheduled to take place this year on September 14, 2024. Did you know that in 2018 Matthew Mania was born? I used it for the first time in public to describe my efforts to win a HUGE Ballroom dance competition called Boca’s Ballroom Battle. Video evidence can be seen on MatthewMania.com. We discuss how the contest started, the amazing charity that it supports, and if Tim will ever compete in it. For more details about the scholarship visit www.scholarship.org. Tim Snow has resided in Boca Raton since 1958 when his family relocated to Boca Raton from Western Pennsylvania. He attended and graduated from Boca Raton High School in 1974 followed by his graduation from Marion Military Institute in Alabama. Under Tim’s leadership, the George Snow Scholarship Fund has been recognized as one of the most respected non-profit organizations in South Florida. Tim’s vision for the Fund included not only providing scholarships but also the development of scholar support programs and services created to ensure the success of the scholars including pre-college physicals, laptops for each scholar and a high school to college transition program.
Jay joined the George Snow Scholarship Fund as the Vice President of Development in January of 2023, after a successful showing at Boca’s Ballroom Battle. Previously, Jay was the Executive Director at St. Jude Catholic Church & School in Boca Raton. He oversaw all development, marketing and personnel for the church, as well as development for the school.
Prior to St. Jude, Jay worked at Lynn University as the Director of Major Gifts for 15 years.
Jay moved to Florida from Michigan in 1992 and attended St. John Paul II Academy. He then followed his dream of playing college baseball and attended Lynn University, where he received his Bachelors and Masters in Business Administration

Seems like forever since Neil and I just talked about what is coming for Boca Raton Championship Wrestling and for other Matthew Mania social and charitable events. And for Fall 2024 / Spring 2025 we have a lot going on.
We have FIVE Boca Raton Championship Wrestling shows coming up. Starting Sunday September 1, 2024 when we return to The Studio at Mizner Park as BRCW Presents SUMMER SMASH (second Summer Smash, 4th show at TSMP).
Then we try a new venue, the Renaissance Boca Raton Hotel on October 20, 2024 for BRCW Renaissance (neil did not like my plan for Send In The Clowns, an all {or mostly} clown card).
After that we return to the VIP Ballroom for the 3rd time for a BRCW Chanukah Special, called The Festival of Fights!
In 2025, we hope you join us in Miami and go Cruisin’ for a Bruisin’ as we return to the Pullman Miami Airport, a BRCW favorite venue.
And then back to The Studio at Mizner Park for Challenge Accepted!!!!
And that is just BRCW! Matthew Mania has plenty of other events going on. We can not wait to see you at one of them!!!

Grandma Roxy is back!!!
Roxy is back from her annual FOURTEEN day cruise!!! Actually it is 2 cruises BACK TO BACK. First is the 1970’s themed Rock and Romance cruise. Werid name, it is not a “romantic” or “couples” cruise. It plays the rock and love songs from the 70’s. Think Foreigner, Don Mclean, and a lot of cover bands - the Doobie Others, Elton Jane, Lez Zeppelin. And then she stayed on for the 1960’s themed Flower Power Cruise (I Smell Hippies!) She had a lot of fun and did not even get off the ship when it docked in tropical ports.

Matthew and Neil went to New Orleans for TNA Bayou Blast! Well it was the New Orleans airport. And the show was NEAR New Orleans. But we where not IN new Orleans.
It was great to see current and future BRCW All Stars and also BRCW fans at the Alario Center.
We also had in the Studio BRCW Executive Board Member Nelio Costa. Nelio is the founder and owner of Coastal Championship Wrestling and we talked about CCW expanding to Nashville. Neil the Heel went to the CCW show in Nashville and introduced the NEW CCW Tennessee Heavyweight Championship Title at the Nashville show.
We talk with Nelio about what inspired him to start CCW, how CCW differentiates itself from other in the wrestling companies and his relationship with WWE Legend Gangrel as head trainer.

We are then joined by Bill Alfonso, a former professional wrestling referee and manager famous for his time in Extreme Championship Wrestling in the mid-to-late 1990s.
