Kattie and Allan talk about what they each want their funerals to look like. This can be a taboo topic that many couples avoid, but the stress for the believing partner to put together a funeral for a non-believing partner can be lessened by having a direct conversation on the topic.
Kattie and Allan each answer 8 questions:
1. What location should the funeral be held?
2. Cremated, Buried, Donate your body to science, Or become a Pod?
3. What are you wearing in a casket?
4. Is there a song you want played?
5. Who would you want to speak at the funeral?
6. What do you want to be remembered for?
7. What’s one thing that you want everyone to eat in your honor at the luncheon? 8. Are there any other wishes?

Sometimes our episodes are more of an update about where we are at, as opposed to an episode with laid out advice. This is one of those episodes. Kattie discusses her anxiety going into conference and her decision to face Conference head on, instead of escaping on yet another Disney trip….not that that’s an option right now!

Kattie and Allan discuss their experience at the Thrive Conference in SLC. A full day of growing, healing, and community. Kattie expected to be uncomfortable at a post-Mormon conference, but was pleasantly surprised at many of the positive experiences she had as well. Allan expected to feel right at home, but was surprised when he also experienced some difficult moments to go along with the positive.
Stick around at the end for a silly little parody song about Mixed Faith Marriage and Kattie and Allan performed at the Thrive Karaoke Night!
