The year was 2006. Mourinho was dominating the Premier League with Chelsea, Arsenal reached the Champions League final, and Myles Lewis-Skelly wasn't even born yet! Can the Gunners repeat what they did 19 years ago and get past PSG in the semis? It'll be a tough ask, but can they do what they did against Real Madrid? How will they cope against Paris without a striker? We try and unpick one of the biggest night's in Arsenal's modern history...

It was a busy weekend of football as Liverpool finally wrapped up the top flight title thanks to a crushing 5-1 win over Spurs at Anfield. Arne Slot's men are now tied with Manchester United on 20 top flight English titles as the rivalry continues.
Elsewhere, Ipswich Town were relegated after defeat at Newcastle, but are they well set for a comeback next season?
And finally, Crystal Palace shocked a poor Aston Villa side to reach the FA Cup final, where they'll meet Manchester City, who eased past Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

One of English football's most iconic occasions is almost here, but can Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace or Aston Villa make history on FA Cup semi-final weekend? Wembley plays host to our final four, of which 3 are looking to do something Man City are very familiar with, and that's make a major final. Can Palace win their first FA Cup ever? Can Forest complete a dream season? Can Emery bring Villa glory again? Or will City do what they always do? Niall and Marley look to answer those questions on this episode of FSD.

Another Arsenal draw means Liverpool just need a point against Spurs at the weekend to secure the Premier League title. That's 13 draws now for the Gunners this season, so have they mentally checked out of their league campaign to focus on their Champions League semi-final? Niall and Marley query whether Mikel Arteta has indeed placed full focus on PSG ahead of a massive 2 weeks for Arsenal.

FSD is back after the Easter break and there's a lot to discuss, with two new (or should that be old) names securing their top flight status for next season, as Burnley and Leeds secured promotion over the weekend. But with Leicester joining Southampton by dropping on Saturday, how do the Whites and the Clarets survive next season? Elsewhere, Manchester City recorded a huge last-gasp win over Aston Villa on Tuesday night, thanks to the much-maligned Matheus Nunes' 94th minute winner. Will they finish in the Champions League places after a bizarre season? Niall and Marley are on hand to discuss all that and more, including the confirmation that we will see a South coast derby next season, partly thanks to Mr and Mrs Murphy having a fumble 30 years ago...

Mikel Arteta recorded what was possibly his biggest win as Arsenal manager last night as the Gunners beat Real Madrid on their own patch to reach the Champions League semi-finals, where PSG await. Does this prove the Arsenal now have the mental fortitude to go and do something big? Elsewhere, Newcastle United's fine form continued as they battered Crystal Palace at home to go third in the Premier League. Can they go one step further and finish as runners up this season?! And finally, tonight sees Manchester United and Tottenham's seasons go on the line again as they face Europa League second legs, with Eintracht Frankfurt and Lyon out to pile more pressure on Ruben Amorim and Ange Postecoglou. Would defeat mean the end for the Aussie? All that and more discussed on the latest Football Social Daily with Niall McCaughan and Marley Anderson.

Aston Villa fans will be gutted they couldn't grab one more goal against PSG in their Champions League quarter-final second leg at Villa Park last night, as the Premier League side ended up crashing out of the competition on aggregate despite winning 3-2 on the night. But did manager Unai Emery get his substitutions and tactics wrong? We discuss how Villa came up short, as well as Arsenal's massive opportunity to reach the semi-finals.

Bet Swansea City fans never thought a Ballon d'Or winner would be buying a stake in their club, but it looks like Luka Modric has done just that. But why? What is going on with people like Ryan Reynolds and Tom Brady investing in English football these days? Niall and Marley discuss the latest, as well as touching on Aston Villa's massive 3-game week starting with tonight's Champions League quarter final against PSG.

You may as well hand Liverpool the Premier League trophy now, as another victory for Arne Slot's side coupled with Arsenal dropping points at home to Brentford means the Reds could clinch the title as soon as next weekend. Niall and Marley discuss why the weekend felt more about Mo Salah than the result, more shocking defending from Tottenham, and Andre Onana's embarrassing week at Manchester United.

Declan Rice turned into a set-piece master to score two fantastic free kicks as Arsenal dispatched Real Madrid 3-0 at the Emirates to take a huge step towards the Champions League semi-finals on Tuesday night. Mikel Merino also got on the scoresheet for the Gunners as Mikel Arteta looks to salvage something from a disappointing season. Elsewhere there was contrasting fortunes for Aston Villa, who succumbed to a powerful PSG side in the French capital. Morgan Rogers' goal gave the Villans hope, but sensational strikes from Desire Doue, Kvicha Kvaratshkelia and Nuno Mendes inspired the Parisians to the win. Niall and Marley discuss all that plus Liverpool preparing to hand two stars new deals and Nemanja Matic ruining Andre Onana in a war of words on today's Football Social Daily.

An action-packed Premier League weekend threw up plenty of talking points, but very few of those came in what has been described as the most boring Manchester Derby in years. Kevin de Bruyne's final Old Trafford test for City ended in a 0-0 bore draw with United, whilst Liverpool's defeat to Fulham - just their second of the season - couldn't be pounced on by Arsenal. Meanwhile, sorry Southampton saw their relegation confirmed, and they sacked Ivan Juric before we even had the chance to talk about it!

The latest instalment of the Merseyside derby didn't fail to entertain as James Tarkowski escaped a red card before Diogo Jota settled proceedings with the only goal of the game to move the Reds closer to the Premier League title. Arsenal won on Tuesday night to momentarily pressure Arne Slot's side, but it wasn't enough to cause the Slot machine to malfunction. Elsewhere, a Sandro Tonali unintentional screamer earned Newcastle a win over Brentford, leaving the Geordies in charge of the race for the top four, having played a game less than 4th placed Man City. And finally, Southampton moved within a point of finally matching Derby County's humiliating 11-point haul with a draw at home to Crystal Palace. Niall and Marley discuss all this and more on the latest Football Social Daily!

Niall and Marley are back and so is the Premier League! Domestic action has been missed but there's midweek action as we look towards the run-in, with 10 games to go. Man City's chances at finishing in the top four have been dealt a blow by the news that Erling Haaland is out for up to seven weeks, keeping the Norwegian out until around the time of the FA Cup final. Across Manchester, there's been rumours linking Bruno Fernandes with a move to Real Madrid, but with him being one of the few shining lights of a woeful United season, should Ruben Amorim entertain the thought of selling his captain?

The FA Cup took centre stage this weekend as Aston Villa, Man City, Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest reached the final four. But would 'only' winning the pot be a bad season for Pep Guardiola? Elsewhere, another trophy is dividing fans as Newcastle's Carabao Cup win saw biblical scenes in the North East, with 300,000 people adorning the streets to celebrate the Toon's first domestic cup win in 70 years. But as this is the age of social media, the celebration police were out in force and tried to rain on the parade. But isn't the game about glory?

Niall and Marley are back curing your international break boredom with a discussion on referees and whether they get paid fairly for what they do. Plus, why does Wilfried Zaha constantly seem to have a chip on his shoulder? And with the winners of the club World Cup set to get £100m in prize money, the lads ask if the game is about to change to see a more global product?

England's new manager began his tenure with straightforward wins over Albania and Latvia, with a host of new faces impressing along the way. However some problems remain, with square pegs being forced into round holes in Thomas Tuchel's lineups. Elsewhere, USA manager Mauricio Pochettino was pictured having a coffee with Daniel Levy, leading to speculation that he may one day return to Spurs for a second spell as boss. But is it adding two and two and getting five with Ange Postecoglou still hanging onto his job in the meantime? Niall and Marley discuss this and more, including whether the USA can have an impact on home soil next summer, on today's FSD.

History was made on Sunday night as Newcastle United ended almost 70 years of hurt as they won their first domestic trophy since 1955.
The Geordies beat Liverpool 2-1 at Wembley to claim the Carabao Cup, two years after falling at the final hurdle to Man United.
On today's episode, Marley is the last man standing with Niall and Joel in random corners of the world, meaning it's an all-NUFC podcast...as you'd expect.
