The Philadelphia Phillies opened up their three-game series in San Francisco with a 8-4 loss to the Giants.
Taiwan Walker takes the loss and drops to 3-1 on the season. He went 6 innings allowing six runs, five of them earned on nine hits two walks and striking out four while throwing 98 pitches.
Walker Didn't have much from his defense in the loss as Alec Bohm committed two official errors while also misplaying two other balls hit to 3rd. Whit Merrifield also committed an error that led to two more runs scoring in the 7th inning.
As for the Phillies offense, Kyle Schwarber Hit his 10th home run of the season and first since May 6th when he smacked 3-1 fastball to right center field 404 feet.
Edmundo Sosa hit a triple in the 4th and come in to score on a Wild pitch by Blake Snell. JT Realmuto extended his hitting streak to a record 16 games for a Phillies catcher. Johan Rojas came up with two hits including an RBI single.

Suarez allowed 5 runs and 4 walks through the first two innings of his start before settling in to be perfect in the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th innings.
The Phillies offense couldn’t pick up their starting pitcher as Kyle Schwarber, Bryce Harper, Bryson Stott and Nick Castellanos combined to go 0-15 in the loss.

The Philadelphia Phillies came back to beat the Colorado Rockies 8-4 Saturday night thanks to a gutsy performance by Aaron Nola and clutch offense from Garrett Stubbs, Bryce Harper and Edmundo Sosa!
Aaron Nola used 103 pitches to get through 6 tough innings and didn’t record a 1-2-3 inning until the 5th. He picks up a quality start, but gets no decision. He was on the receiving end of some bad luck, after a Brandon Marsh error in left field let to a run scoring in the 3rd inning.
Garrett Stubbs helped get the Phillies on the comeback trail with a leadoff single in the fifth inning then stole third with one out and was later brought home on a Kyle Schwarber RBI SAC fly to center field to make it a 3-2 game.
Then in the top of the 9th with the Phillies still trailing 3-2, Brandon Marsh worked a leadoff walk. Edmundo Sosa plated Marsh with an RBI triple to tie the game at 3! Then Garrett Stubbs brought Sosa home with an RBI single to put the Phillies in front for good.
Bryce Harper added a 3-run homer followed by a Nick Castellanos RBI single.

The Philadelphia Phillies lost to the Colorado Rockies 3-2 in 11 innings Friday night.
Solo home runs from Nick Castellanos said Edmundo Sosa had grabbed the Phillies 2-1 lead heading into the bottom of the 9th in Colorado. Jose Alvarado was going for the save. He struck out the first two batters he faced but then Jacob Stallings's pinch hit for the Rockies when they were down to their final out. Stallings jumped on a first pitch sinker and belted it 427 feet to tie the game at 2 and force extras.
The Phillies had their chances in the 10TH and 11th innings but couldn't bring home a go ahead run.
Gregory Soto surrendered the game-winning RBI single to Ezequiel Tovar with 1 out in the 11th.

The Philadelphia Phillies continue to make history as they sweep the defending World Series champion Texas Rangers out of South Philadelphia with 5-2 win Thursday afternoon!
Phillies starting pitcher Zach Wheeler continued his dominance tossing 7 innings of two run baseball striking out 5. Jose Alvarado and Jeff Hoffman came in to close out the victory Alvarado picked up his 4th hold of the season, Hoffman his 4th save.
The pitching's effort was backed by home runs from JT Realmuto who homered for the second straight day giving him 7 on the season and Nick Castellanos so hit his 5th home run on the year.
The biggest hit in the game came courtesy of Cristian Pache who delivered a 2-run triple in the 4th inning to give the Phillies a 3-1 lead. Pache went 2-for-4 on the day wih those two RBIs while Edmundo Sosa went 3-for-4 and scored a run.

The Philadelphia Phillies beat the Texas Rangers, 11-4 to improve to 36-14 on the season, their best start through 50 games in the history of the franchise! The Phillies have been around since 1883!
Tiajuan Walker only last 4.2ip allowing 3 runs on 6 hits and 4 walks. The Bullpen came in and shut things down, led by Matt Strahm who tossed 1.1 inning of scoreless baseball. Gregory Soto, Orion Kerkering and Jose Ruiz also pitched and combined for just one hit. Soto allowed that hit, it was a big one, a solo homer by Corey Seager in the 7th.
JT Realmuto, Edmundo Sosa and Bryce Harper all hit homers, while Alec Bohm came up with a 2-run double in the 6th. Bohm regained the MLB lead in RBI's with his 45th and 46th on the year.

The Philadelphia Phillies beat the Texas Rangers 5-2 as Ranger Suarez notched his Major League leading 9th win of the season!
Suarez tossed 7 innings of one run baseball and after a strenuous start throwing 59 pitches through the 1st 3 innings of the game Suarez settled in to throw 108 pitches in his start and record a career high 10 batters!
Suarez’ effort was backed by a 2-RBI night from Alec Bohm who came up with an RBI single in the 4th inning and an RBI double in the 8th. Kyle Schwarber also came up with an RBI single in the third inning that got the Phillies on the board while Bryce Harper hit his 11th home run of the season smashing a 3-2 fastball 422 feet to center field in the 6th!

The Philadelphia Phillies are now 20 games over 500 after they completed the sweep of the Washington Nationals with an 11 to 5 victory Sunday afternoon!
Aaron Nola improved to 6-2 on the season going 7 innings allowing 3 runs, 2 earned. Both runs came by way of the long ball and were the only hits he allowed in the game.
As for the offense Alec Bohm led the way with a 5-RBI day including an exclamation point 406ft three run home run in the bottom of the eighth inning. Kody Clemens, Nick Castellanos and Bryce Harper all rove in 2 runs each. Harper and Casy each had three-hit days.

The Philadelphia Phillies were able to come back and beat the Washington Nationals 4 to 3 in 10 innings! The Phillies got a solid start from Cristopher Sanchez who tossed 7 innings of two run baseball allowing eight hits and also striking out eight.
However the Phillies’ bats didn't come alive till late in the ball game. The Phils were down 2-1 in the 7th inning before Bryson Stott tied things up with his 5th home run of the season. Then after Orion Kerkering allowed the Nationals to take a 3-2 lead, the Phils found themselves one out away from losing. That’s when Kody Clemens stepped to the plate in the bottom of the 9th and belted a solo homer to center field to knot things up at 3.
Gregory Soto kept the Nationals scoreless in the top half of the 10th inning striking out two and only needing 11 pitches to record all three outs. In the bottom half of the inning Bryce Harper stepped to the plate with one out and Johan Rojas on third base. Harper hit a sharp liner to center field that was deep enough to bring Rojas in for the game winning run!

Zach Wheeler tossed 7 and a third innings allowing two runs on three hits and striking out six as the Phillies beat the nationals 4 to 2 and the opener of their 3-game series!
After the Phillies used 7 pitchers the previous night in an 11-inning loss to the Mets, Wheeler gave his team all his had, including 4 bonus outs. Wheeler started the 7th inning at 91 pitches, then needed just 9 pitches to retire the side in the inning. He was able to record one more out in the 8th, before giving way to Jose Alvarado, who finished the inning. Jeff Hoffman came on to close out the 9th and did so needed just 10 pitches.
The Phillies’ offense came courtesy of an Alec Bohm RBI double in the 1st, Brandon Marsh scored on a wild pitch in the 2nd, followed by an RBI ground out by Kyle Schwarber also in the 2nd and and a Marsh RBI double in the 3rd.

The Philadelphia Phillies let one slip away as they lost to the New York Mets, 6-5 in 11 innings.
The Phils didn’t have much luck on their side today as they; lost their starting pitcher Taiwan Walker in the 4th inning after he took a line drive off his foot. In the 8th, Bryson Stott started the inning with a throwing error. Jeff Hoffman and the Phillies looked like they were going to get out of the jam and preserve their lead, until Hoffman surrendered an RBI single that bounced off his back. Hoffman then threw a wild pitch that allowed the Mets’ go ahead run to score to make it a 4-3 game.
The Phillies tied it in the bottom of the 9th as Bryson Stott continued to own Edwin Diaz, Stott drove in the tying run with an RBI single. Later in the inning, with Stott on 2nd and two outs, JT Realmuto smash a liner towards LF, but Mets’ second-baseman Jeff McNeil was standing in the perfect spot and plucked it out of the air for the final out. Then in the 11th, Jose Alvarado allowed 2 runs, the second and later game winning run, came on a Alvarado Wild Pitch.

It was an ugly game with a BEAUTIFUL result as the Philadelphia Phillies beat the New York Mets 10-5 in South Philadelphia Wednesday night!
Phillies’ Starter Ranger Suarez went just five innings allowing two runs neither earned and used 83 pitches to pick up his Major League leading eighth win of the season!
While the defense Was it much for backing up Suarez’ efforts, the bats were! Bryce Harper got the Phillies on the board with a solo home run in the bottom of the 1st inning, his 10th homer of the season. Harper would then drive in another two runs as part of a four-run 5th inning and cap his night off with a single in the 7th and later come around to score on a Francisco Lindor throwing error.
Spencer Turnbull came out of the bullpen to toss 6th innings in the game heel out three runs on five hits and a walk.
