  • Damian Winter Higgins hails from Nottingham. He gained a place at the prestigious Ballet Rambert School. Upon leaving Rambert, he joined Adventures in Motion Pictures Dance Company, with whom he performed in Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake. Damian then joined the UK tour of Fame the Musical, for which he understudied and played the lead role of Tyrone Jackson and Mr Myers. Damian has also been seen in Disney's The Lion King (Lyceum), the original cast of Elton John and Tim Rice's Aida (Essen, Germany), Leonard Bernstein's Wonderful Town (Grange Park Opera) and in Miss Saigon (tour).

    Damian is also a qualified teacher for BTEC Performing Arts, A-Level Dance and Drama.

    Damian is also a fully qualified therapist for people in a wide range of life experiences.

  • Adam James Phillips hails from Newport, Wales. He graduated from Arts Educational Schools London on the Musical Theatre course in 2003. Adam transitioned into being a Hair Stylist and Artist soon after leaving college. In the West End Theatre scene he worked on productions including Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Love Never Dies, Crazy For You, Kiss Me Kate and Sweeney Todd. Screen credits include Downtown Abbey, Star Wars, Bridgerton, Wonka and Mary and George. Adam is a multiple Emmy and Guild Award Winner for his work including his work on Downtown Abbey for the late Dame Maggie Smith.

  • Jenny Fitzpatrick hails from Hornchurch, Essex. She Graduated from Mountview Academy of Dramatic Arts Musical Theatre Degree Course in 2004. Upon leaving early she joined the Rep Company of 'Regents Park Open Air Theatre'. From there her theatre credits include 'Ghost The Musical', 'Rock Of Ages', 'Little Shop of Horrors', 'Oliver!', 'Our House' and 'Sister Act'. Notably she alternated the role of 'Tina', in the original west end cast of 'Tina: The Tina Turner Musical' and recently played Nancy in the Leeds Playhouse production of Oliver! Jenny's TV credits include Eastenders, Silent Witness and M.I High.

    As a writer Jenny co-wrote the film 'Payback Season' which was released in cinemas in the UK in 2012.

    Jenny is soon to be seen in the Old Vic's production of 'A Christmas Carol' as Ghost of Christmas Present/ Mrs Fezziwig.

  • Wayne Perrey, widely known as the “new face of DIY” is a TV carpenter & presenter. He hails from Leeds and at 17 won a grant in his area to attend Arts Educational Schools, London. In his third year he left college early to appear in the Original West End Cast of 'Rent'. From their following on from various other shows he appeared in the Original West End Cast of 'Bombay Dreams', alternating the lead role of Akassh. While in the show he booked role in BBC's in 'Dalziel and Pascoe' as regular DC Parvez Lateef, and went on to appear in various other television and theatre productions.

    Alongside his performing career he crafted himself as the first on-camera carpenter to feature on both interior design and garden makeover shows, such as the BBC's Garden Rescue, Interior Design Masters and ITV's Love Your Garden. He is now the regular DIY expert on BBC One's flagship show Morning Live as well as ITV1's Love Your Weekend with Alan Titchmarsh.

  • On Tuesday the 3rd September along with recent guest Hollie Taylor and previous guest Chris Grierson, we attended the ArtsEd Graduation of the Class of 2024. 20 years on from graduating myself!

    We spoke to some of the students and parents about their time at the college as well as their feelings about going out into the industry as professionals.

    It was a really lovely and special day to be back in the building and brought back many memories being in the place where it all started over 20 years ago.

  • Hollie Taylor hails from Teddington, Middlesex. She graduated with a BA (Hons) in Musical Theatre from the Arts Educational Schools, London in 2006. Upon graduating she joined the UK Tour of High Society. From there she went on to appear in West End and UK Touring productions of High School Musical, Betty Blue Eyes, Cameron Mackintosh's Oliver!, Matilda The Musical, Goodnight Mr Tom and Cameron Mackintosh's Oliver! to mention a few! Not to mention her screen work including returning to Netflix's Matilda The Musical, Eastenders and Casualty.

  • Marcus Scimia hails from Ladbroke Grove, London. After attending Barbara Speake stage school, Marcus went on to study at Arts Educational Schools. Graduating in 2004. Upon he leaving he worked abroad P&O Cruises as part of the theatrical entertainment team. He went on to appear in UK tours 'All That Jazz' and 'Fever'. He went onto appear in radio plays and voiceovers, taking the lead in Pantomimes, headlining cabarets. He worked as part of a wedding band that won 'Wedding Band Of The Year' in the UK, 2 years running! Marcus went on to obtain a MA in Voice Pedagogy from the University of Wales, Trinity St Davids, and also an MA in Collaborative Theatre Practice at the Staffordshire University. In addition, Marcus is Estill Figure Proficient (EFP) Certified with Estill Voice international and is in his final year to qualify as an Estill Master Teacher (EMT). He currently is a master teacher in Musical Theatre in facilities in the UK.

  • Amy Thornton hails from Twickenham. She attended Laine Theatre Arts in Epsom, graduating in 2004. Upon leaving Amy booked a job with P&O Cruises as part of the theatrical entertainment team. She then went on to appear in the UK Tour of Starlight Express and Fame. Following on from that she appeared in West End productions of Never Forget, Flashdance, Grease, Rock of Ages and Evita at Regents Park. She also appeared in Matilda the Musical in the West End as Swing/Dance Captain. She then went on to appear in and work as assistant choreographer for the film adaptation of Matilda The Musical.

    She recently appeared in the West End production of Moulin Rouge as Nini, and then as Shelia in the Sadlers Wells and UK Tour production of A Chorus Line. Amy regularly works as a creative on various musical productions as well as taking masterclasses and workshops for many young performers up and down the country.

  • Hailing from Liverpool, Jon Robyns gained a place at the prestigious Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, graduating on the Musical Theatre course in 2004. Jon went straight on to appear in the UK Tour of Cameron Mackintosh's Miss Saigon, understudying the leading role of Chris. From there his career went from strength to strength appearing in leading roles in West End and touring shows such as Avenue Q, 'Spamalot, Memphis, Hamilton and Les Miserables three times, in three different roles! Most recently Jon has played the lead of 'Phantom' in Andrew Lloyd Webbers 'Phantom Of The Opera'.

    He also wrote the musical Then, Now, Next with Christopher J Orton, which made its premiere at London's Southwark Playhouse in 2023.

    Jon is just about to launch his own live monthly cabaret show 'Late Night West End With Jon Robyns' at the Phoenix Arts Club.

  • Originating from Dudley, West Midlands. Jess Graduated from the Arts Ed School of Musical Theatre in 2004. Upon Graduating she joined the UK Touring Cast of 'Kiss Me Kate'. From there she went on to appear in 'Evita', 'Marguerite' and 'Seussical'. She worked as a creative either as a Choreographer or Director on productions such as 'Jersey Boys', '20th Century Boy', ‘Avenue Q' and 'Six' at it's Arts Theatre Residency. Jess now has her own company 'Parker Puppetry' which teaches people puppetry for many different purposes. The company also offers SEND workshops. Jess has recently become a University lecturer in Musical Theatre.

  • Hailing from Copenhagen, Denmark, from a Chilean & Danish Background. Nic graduated from the Arts Educational School of Musical Theatre Class of 2004. Upon leaving he went straight into the West End Cast of 'Les Miserables'. From there he went on to appear in the National Tour of 'My Fair Lady' and 'The Wizard of Oz' at the West Yorkshire Playhouse. During this time Nic began to study his Chemistry A-Level, in order to begin to study at Medical School. He was accepted into Brighton University to Study Medicine and upon successfully graduating he went into work in Sexual Health in the NHS where he now works as a consultant.

  • Hailing from Nottingham. Lucy graduated from the Arts Educational School of Musical Theatre Class of 2004. Upon leaving college she bagged a role in the iconic TV Show 'Footballers Wives'. Following that she joined the UK Tour of 'Starlight Express'. From here she went on to star as 'Meat' in the West End Cast of 'We Will Rock You', 'Dirty Dancing' in the West End and the UK Tour of '20th Century Boy'. After getting sidetracked in jobs as a Gym Manager and Estate Agent, Lucy realized her love performing was missing and returned to the theatre in the recent London cast of 'Rehab: The Musical'. She opens in the West End Cast of 'Heathers' The Musical on the day of this episodes releases.

  • Hailing from Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire. Adam graduated from the Arts Educational School of Musical Theatre Class of 2004. Upon leaving college he joined the cast of the International tour of 'Mamma Mia'. Following that he joined West End Cast of 'Fame'. It was whIle performing in 'Fame' that a recurring knee injury harboured his ability to continue dance. After appearing in the West End cast of 'Eurobeat'. While working aboard a Cruise Ship for Belinda King Adam picked up a Camera and began experimenting with Photography and Headshots. Once back on land he began to build his business as a headshot photographer, and has gone on to become one of the most established headshot photographers in London, as Adam Hills Photography.

  • Hailing from Bangor, Northern Ireland. Zoe graduated from the Arts Educational School of Musical Theatre Class of 2004. Upon leaving college she joined the Cast of the UK tour of Jekyll & Hyde. She then went on to appear in West End shows Parade, Hairspray, The Woman in White, Wicked and an American in Paris. She basically barely stopped to breathe. It wasn't until 2020's World Pandemic when Theatre itself was put on hold that Zoe had time to reflect on here life, and look at the things she had put on hold, including Motherhood. We spoke to Zoe just prior to her returning to the West End a for the first time as a working mother in the 10th Anniversary of Concert of 'Made in Dagenham'. Zoe in currently in Rehearsals for the West End Premiere of 'Mean Girls' The Musical.

  • Hailing from Glasgow, Scotland. Philip graduated from the Arts Educational School of Musical Theatre Class of 2004. Upon leaving college he joined the Cast of Murderous Instincts in the West End. Following that he toured the UK in productions of Joseph and His Technicolour Dreamboat, Hello Dolly and Annie. He spent five years performing on Cruise Ships around the world, where on board he had his own Solo Show. After someone suggested to him Barbering due to his look, he gave it a go and turns out he was pretty swell at it. As well as being a Barber, he also trains Barbers in the skill. Philip is also part of the LGBTQ+ Hockey Team London Royals.

  • Steph Parry hailing from Holyhead in North Wales, graduated from Arts Ed Class of Musical Theatre in 2004. Upon Graduating from College Steph began her career as Rosalind in an Open Air Production of 'As You like it'. She then went on to appear in West End shows such as 'Billy Elliot' and 'Wicked'. Whilst appearing in '42nd Street' at the Drury Lane Theatre she received a request to see if she could be borrowed for the evening to race across the road to cover the lead role in 'Mamma Mia', which she did to much praise.Steph has also ventured into the world of television appearing in shows such as 'Hidden', 'Hollyoaks' and 'Malpractice' to name a few. Steph discusses with us everything it took her to get to where she has in her career as well as her love for 'Crossfit', and where she is at today.

  • Hailing from Royal Tunbridge Wells.Chris graduated from the Arts Educational School of Musical Theatre Class of 2004. After leaving college Chris had a stint in Channel 4's Hollyoaks playing 'Chris'! From there he went and appeared in shows such as 'Blondel', 'Bad Girls, The Musical' and 'Sound of Music' to name a few. It was just when Chris was thinking about change that an opportunity came up to be the 'Face of Crystal Palace TV', and as a lifelong supporter of the Football Club it was almost as if it was meant to be. For nearly 10 years now Chris has been the Presenter and Producer at the Premier League football club Crystal Palace. As well as still keeping his foot in the acting door and working on other projects on the production side of things.

  • Originally from Hayes in Middlesex. Stuart graduated from the Arts Educational School of Musical Theatre Class of 2004, and went on to appear in shows such as Starlight Express, Whistle Down the Wind and The Rocky Horror Show. After a brief stint auditioning for The X-Factor, Stuart saw he needed a change in his life and created a successful business by selling beauty and skincare products on social media. From here along with his partner Francis, they began to share their journey of becoming a parent through surrogacy, and doing so becoming one of the faces of visibility online for gay parents in the UK. Stuart and Francis have so far racked up over 80 Million likes and over 1.2 Million followers on TikTok. Follow their journey @stuartandfrancis.

  • Hailing from South Oxfordshire, Tasha graduated from the Arts Educational School of Musical Theatre Class of 2004. Upon leaving college she joined the West End Cast of Mamma Mia, and went on the play the lead of Sophie in her second year. While on tour in Evita, Tasha unexpectedly had to have emergency vocal surgery. After dealing with this, Tasha then returned to the West End in School Of Rock, but this time as a mother of two. Tasha discusses with us the realities of being a working mum in the West End, her journey to a healthy body image and her ongoing passion for Theatre.
