    We’ll cover:

    · His early life and time in care

    · The brutal abuse he suffered at the hands of his parents

    · The killings he committed, and who his victims were

  • Imagine stepping into what looks like an ordinary trailer. But inside, you find shackles, chains, surgical tools, and walls covered with diagrams of women in bondage.

This was the reality of David Parker Ray’s so-called ‘Toy Box’, a $100,000 torture chamber hidden in the New Mexico desert.

Authorities believe he may have had as many as 60 victims, yet not a single body was ever found. David Parker Ray was born in 1939 in Belen, New Mexico. His childhood was troubled.

His father was abusive and largely absent, leaving him to be raised by strict grandparents. Bullied and isolated at school, Ray developed an early obsession with bondage and sadistic fantasies. By adulthood, he appeared unremarkable to outsiders, a mechanic, a neighbour, a man with hobbies. But behind closed doors, he was designing something horrific.

In 2001, David Parker Ray was sentenced to 224 years in prison for kidnapping and assault. Cindy Hendy received 36 years but was released in 2019 after serving 19.

In this podcast/video, we uncover the chilling story of the man the FBI calls The Toy Box Killer.

  • On Dec. 17, 2000, a London resident found a human torso in the River Thames near Church Road in Battersea. The torso contained a distinctive tattoo of a red rose with the name “Zoe.” The victim wore a light-coloured top with an attached chain around the waist, sold by a market trader who had worked in a few areas in and around London and the English counties of Hertfordshire, Kent, and Surrey, in August and September 2000.

The killer had cut the victim’s body in half with a sharp instrument such as a samurai sword, a post-mortem showed. showed. However, officials could not determine whether the victim was alive when dismembered. The torso bore no apparent injuries consistent with murder. It was not weighed down or wrapped when police recovered it. The body had been in the water for seven to 21 days.

Two weeks later, Zoe’s family identified the torso victim as the missing young woman. More than 30 police officers worked the case.

CCTV footage captured Zoe on Dec. 6, 2000, in the company of two unidentified white males in Hounslow, West London.

Zoe had links to people in central London’s West End and Charing Cross areas. She also knew several acquaintances throughout England.

  • On the morning of July 8, 2016, Sullivan told detectives, he and Sara Packer drove Grace, still sleepy and in pyjamas, from their residence in Abington to a new home in Richland Township, Bucks County. Grace Packer, 14, died at the hands of Sara Packer and Jacob Sullivan, who conspired to beat, rape, poison and ultimately strangle the teen. Sara Packer and Jacob Sullivan then preserved the girl’s corpse for weeks in cat litter before dismembering and dumping her body.

Grace endured a lifetime of unimaginable pain and suffering and was brutally murdered and dismembered by her adoptive mother, Sara Packer, and Sara Packer’s boyfriend, Jacob Sullivan.

Grace was allowed to remain in the care of Sara Packer throughout her life due to the carelessness and recklessness of entities that provided various services to Grace throughout her life. In 2004, Grace was placed into the care of Sara and David Packer.

In March 2007, when she was six (6) years old, Sara and David Packer formally adopted Grace. On two (2) separate occasions Grace’s foster siblings reported to the foster and adoption agencies that Grace was being regularly abused by the Packers. In September 2010, when Grace was nine (9) years old, David Packer was charged with raping Grace and another minor female foster child in the Packer home. Sara Packer was “indicated” by ChildLine, meaning that she had been investigated as a perpetrator of child abuse and was aware of it occurring in the Packer home.

Despite this, Grace was allowed to return to live with Sara Packer. In 2013, Jacob Sullivan, Sara Packer’s boyfriend, moved into the Packer home. On July 8, 2016, Sara Packer and Jacob Sullivan carried out their rape-murder fantasy and brought Grace to a rented home in Bucks County.

Once there, Jacob Sullivan violently raped Grace while Sara Packer watched. Grace was then gagged, drugged and thrown into the house’s attic closet to die. The following day, Sara Packer and Jacob Sullivan returned to the attic and discovered that Grace was still alive. Jacob Sullivan strangled Grace to death while Sara Packer watched.

  • “David Fuller” The Evillest Man Alive. The man now known as the “morgue monster” lived for more than three decades with a sheen of respectability while committing some of the most horrific offences in British criminal history. There were possible signs of the horrors to come when Fuller was convicted in 1973 and 1977 for a series of ‘creeper’ home burglaries, involving break-ins through rear windows. He was spared a jail sentence at Portsmouth crown court.

Within the space of five months in 1987, he carried out the murders of Ms Knell and Ms Pierce in the streets of Tunbridge Wells that he knew well. Fuller may have believed he got away with the murders as the years passed by but DNA evidence from the scene as well as a bloody fingerprint would eventually be his downfall, thanks to improving analysis technology and techniques.

The discovery of the images and videos hidden at his home switched police attention to the now-closed Kent and Sussex Hospital where Fuller had worked from 1989 to 2010 and Tunbridge Wells Hospital where he was employed until his arrest.

Detectives discovered the killer had access to the morgues, using his swipe card to let himself in to abuse bodies after other staff members had left for the day.

Police suspect Fuller may have abused hundreds of dead bodies during his life as a hospital electrician and maintenance worker.

“David Fuller’s deeply distressing crimes are unlike any other I have encountered in my career and unprecedented in British legal history,” said Libby Clark, from the CPS. “No British court has ever seen abuse on this scale against the dead before.

  • How Benefit Street's Neil Maxwell went from loveable reality star to murderer. He was the reality show rogue whose explosive outbursts and unpredictable behaviour made for edge-of-the-sofa TV viewing. Neil Maxwell was thrust into the spotlight on Channel 4’s Benefits Street as a tattooed skinhead who was seen dealing cannabis, smoking dope and taking pills. But Maxwell was a far nastier piece of work than the TV cameras captured. In fact by the time the show aired in May 2015, the cocaine addict was serving a two-year sentence for stabbing a man in a block of flats.

He had slashed him across the back leaving three deep wounds, one 24cm long. But he had won fans from the very first episode, when he strolled to court in a vest and shorts, only to miss a bus and turn up late.

Mr Cooper, 43, was brutally kicked, stamped on, stripped naked, slashed and bludgeoned to death in a "rampage of violence" shortly before Christmas 2018. He suffered 114 injuries including multiple skull fractures, bleeding and swelling to the brain and 24 puncture wounds to his back.

Neil Maxwell, 40, and Luke Pearson, 19, both accept killing Mr Cooper but maintain they are guilty of manslaughter, not murder, jurors heard.

As he was jailed, Maxwell shouted "that is absolutely sound". The self-styled King of Kids was also a role model to young boys on the Tilery Estate in Stockton-on-Tees, who were often seen congregating outside his flat.

Neil Maxwell jailed for 30 years and Luke Pearson Jailed for 24 years for the brutal murder of Lee Cooper.

  • In 2016, 28-year-old Joel Guy Jr. murdered his parents, dismembered their bodies, and dissolved their remains in acid while boiling his mother's head on the stove.

Joel Guy Jr. was born on March 13, 1988, with relatives calling him Joel Michael to distinguish him from his father. His half-sisters would note that he was reclusive and rarely left his room but was intellectually competent. He graduated from the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts in 2006.

However, Joel spent most of his life with his parents at 11434 Goldenview Lane in West Knox, Tennessee. He spent a semester at George Washington University but dropped out. He later went to Louisiana State University to study plastic surgery but withdrew in 2015 — living lazily in a Baton Rouge apartment.

He stabbed his father 42 times before knifing his mother 31 times. He dismembered them both, boiling his mother’s head in a pot — and flushing their flesh down the toilet. Joel Guy Jr. had made detailed notes. “Douse killing rooms (kitchen?) with bleach,” one bullet point read. “Flush chunks down toilet, not garbage disposal,” read another.

While the gruesome crime was baffling, the motive was rather blatant: Joel Guy Jr. would receive $500,000 in life insurance if his parents died or disappeared. But he never saw a cent.

On October 2, 2020, Joel Guy Jr. was found guilty of two counts of premeditated first degree murder, three counts of felony murder, and two counts of abuse of a corpse and was sentenced to life in prison.

  • The Clark brothers had bizarre tastes and that taste was for human flesh. The Clark brothers, born respectively in 1950 and 1952, grew up in the upper-middle class hamlet of Warren, New York, with two other siblings. The family shared a two-story colonial house buried in several acres of woods.

Hadden and Bradfield Clark were cannibals. And both were vindictive, mean-spirited monsters. On May 31, 1986, Clark was ordered by his brother to move out of the latter's home in Silver Spring, Maryland. Michelle Dorr, a six-year-old friend of his niece, came overlooking for her. Clark took her up to an upstairs room and stabbed Michelle to death. Clark then drank some of her blood and stuffed her in a duffel bag. He buried her in a park 12 miles away.

On October 18, 1992, he killed 23-year-old Laura Houghteling in Bethesda, Maryland. Clark was working as a gardener for Laura's mother Penny when she accused Hadden of stealing tools from her backyard shed. Clark entered the house through the back door and stabbed Laura to death in her bedroom with a kitchen knife and suffocated her with a pillow. He carried her body in a bedsheet through a wooded area and buried her a half-mile away.

Bradfield Clark, a year older, was already in prison by the time Hadden emerged from jail. By the summer of 1984, he had moved to California and was intent on wooing a married woman named Trish Mak. The butchering brother invited her to dinner with her husband, who couldn’t make it. Mak spurned the crude Clark’s sexual advances, and he slammed her head against a wall and then strangled her. Bradfield then dismembered her and threw some of her parts on his barbecue then ate them.

Two days later he packed her remains in the back of his vehicle and drove to the closest police station where he told cops: “Her body’s in the trunk of my car.”

An investigator once told the Cape Cod Times, after Hadden's second conviction, that the killer 'wanted to become the women and girls he killed', and that he 'consumed them quite literally'. Investigators did find a bucket of jewellery buried under a property belonging to the Clark family. It contained hundreds of times, some of which belonged to Houghteling.

  • A look into the mind of a Serial Killer. This video uses clips from the 1984 No Apparent Motive Interview, to highlight Kemper's personality. Edmund Emil Kemper III (born December 18, 1948) is an American serial killer, rapist, cannibal, and necrophile who murdered ten people, including his paternal grandparents and mother.

He is noted for his large size, at 6 feet 9 inches (2.06 m), and for his high intellect, possessing an IQ of 145. Kemper was nicknamed the Co-ed Killer, as most of his victims were female college students.

Born in California, Kemper had a disturbed upbringing. His parents divorced; as a child, he moved to Montana with his abusive mother before returning to California, where he murdered his paternal grandparents when he was 15. Released at the age of 21 after convincing psychiatrists he was rehabilitated,

Kemper was regarded as non-threatening by his future victims. He targeted young female hitchhikers during his killing spree, luring them into his vehicle and driving them to secluded areas where he would murder them before taking their corpses back to his home to be decapitated, dismembered, and violated.

Kemper then murdered his mother and one of her friends before turning himself into the authorities.

Found sane and guilty at his trial in 1973, Kemper requested the death penalty for his crimes. Capital punishment was suspended in California at the time, and he instead received eight concurrent life sentences. Since then, he has been incarcerated in the California Medical Facility.

(1984 No Apparent Motive Interview, the full video is available on youtube and other platforms) and to give the viewers a better understanding of how a serial killer's mind works.

  • "Sorry for the sound quality of this podcast" This Podcast examines the question, the rape of one young man in 1943, assisted him in becoming Australia’s first known serial killer and took the lives of 5 innocent men. Legal defences; Criminally Insane, Diminished responsibility Sexual offices Act 1967 and amendment (Homosexuality) The Victims: Amos Hugh Hurst, Alfred Greenfield, Ernest William Cobbin, Frank Gladstone Mclean and Patrick James Hackett.

William MacDonald's Childhood in Liverpool to the murders and mutilations of five innocent victims. The first known serial killer recorded in Australia in 1963. Was he born mad or made mad? The crimes were committed in Sydney, Australia, time span June 1961-April 1963.

William Macdonald is classed as Australia’s first known Serial Killer. AKA: The Sydney Mutilator. William Macdonald, born as Allan Ginsburg on the 17th June 1924 in Liverpool, Merseyside, England, UK William first emigrated to Canada in 1949- 1955

( No history of crimes found within his six years in Canada) then moved on to Australia in 1955, where he changed his name a few times until he became William Macdonald. I examine Williams’s mental health from Childhood, where he was diagnosed as a teen with schizophrenia and what relation this had to his offences.

I also touch on mental asylum plus mental health treatments in England UK in 1947, the therapies include Insulin, Metrazol and electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) and Hydrotherapy.

I then looked at his time in the British Army from 1943 - 1947, where William was raped by a Corporal in an air-raid shelter and what part the Rape had in relation to his offences.

I move onto the full case history, with full descriptions of the murders and mutilations of the victims plus the investigation, the trial, sentencing and Long Bay Prison. William Macdonald was the Oldest and longest-serving Australian prisoner, served 52 years behind bars.

I analyse why he committed these crimes and the statements from William Macdonald himself as to why. "I stabbed and castrated because I thought when the Corporal attacked me, he took my life away. So I thought I’d destroy his sex the same way" He also stated, "There is something in me and it's inbuilt; it is something I can't change". Was it, The Corporal is back? Fact or Paranoia,

it seemed that no matter where he went people would talk about him behind his back. The Corporal who raped him, and made him the source of amusement was never far from his mind and that is clear from the way these men were killed. No sexual act, just pour mutilation of the sexual organs.

  • Unknown victims

Retired homicide detective Rafael Tovar is convinced there are more victims; he said Gacy told him so. "I honestly believe that he was honest with me. He was convinced that if you knew the answer or could find out, he'd tell you the truth," Tovar said in 2020. "But he also liked to play mind games. So, we're in the car and I ask him, 'John, how many bodies are there?'"

According to the detective, Gacy paused and then replied: "I've told my lawyer and I've told you guys that there's 33, but really, 45 sounds like a good number."

    "Inspired by 'Candy Man"

Dean Arnold Corll(December 24, 1939 – August 8, 1973) was an American serial killer and pederast who abducted, raped, tortured, and murdered a minimum of 28 teenage boys and young men between 1970 and 1973 in Houston and Pasadena, Texas. He was aided by two teenaged accomplices, David Owen Brooks and Elmer Wayne Henley. The crimes, which became known as the Houston Mass Murders, came to light after Henley fatally shot Corll. Upon discovery, it was considered the worst example of serial murder in U.S. history.

John David Norman began his criminal career in Houston where he was arrested in 1954 and 1956 for child molestation. His next arrest was in California in 1963 for sexual assault, and again in 1969 for distribution for obscene material and sentenced to 16 months.

By 1973, Norman was running a child prostitution ring called the Odyssey foundation, this covered the United States, major Canadian cities, and parts of Europe. Norman used a mail forwarding address based in San Diego to reach his customers though his base of operations was in Dallas. Norman did not rely on ads alone, he searched for potential victims in bus stations and arcades, these victims would usually be runaways.

  • John Wayne Gacy (March 17, 1942 – May 10, 1994) was an American serial killer and sex offender who raped, tortured, and murdered at least 33 young men and boys. Gacy regularly performed at children's hospitals and charitable events as "Pogo the Clown" or "Patches the Clown", personas he had devised. He became known as the Killer Clown due to his public services as a clown prior to the discovery of his crimes.

Gacy was convicted of the sodomy of a teenage boy in Waterloo, Iowa, in 1968 and was sentenced to ten years' imprisonment, but served eighteen months.

He murdered his first victim in 1972, had murdered twice more by the end of 1975, and murdered at least thirty subsequent victims after his divorce from his second wife in 1976.

The investigation into the disappearance of Des Plaines teenager Robert Piest led to Gacy's arrest on December 21, 1978. His conviction for thirty-three murders (by one individual) then covered the most homicides in United States legal history.

Gacy was sentenced to death on March 13, 1980. On death row at Menard Correctional Center, he spent much of his time painting. He was executed by lethal injection at Stateville Correctional Center on May 10, 1994.

  • Dr H. H. Holmes confessed to 27 murders and is believed to have killed as many as 200 people, during the time surrounding the 1893 World's Fair in Chicago. Holmes ran a hotel equipped for killing- outfitted with gas lines into guest rooms, giant furnaces, lime and acid pits, and large vaults- and would torture, suffocate, and strangle his victims before disposing of them in the facility. Holmes was apprehended in Boston in 1894 and died by hanging in Philadelphia in 1896

Holmes was born Herman Webster Mudgett circa May 16, 1861, in Gilmanton, New Hampshire. Born into an affluent family, Holmes enjoyed a privileged childhood and was said to be unusually intelligent at an early age. Still, there were haunting signs of what was to come. He expressed an interest in medicine, which reportedly led him to practice surgery on animals. Some accounts indicate that he may have been responsible for the death of a friend.

Holmes' life of crime began with various frauds and scams. As a medical student at the University of Michigan, he stole corpses and used them to make false insurance claims. Holmes may have used the bodies for experiments, as well.

In 1885, Holmes moved to Chicago, Illinois. He soon found work in a pharmacy, using his now infamous alias, Dr. Henry H. Holmes. He eventually took over the business and was later rumoured to have killed its original owner.

Holmes had a three-story building constructed nearby, creating an elaborate house of horrors. The upper floors contained his living quarters and many small rooms where he tortured and killed his victims. There were also trapdoors and chutes that enabled him to move the bodies down to the basement, where he could burn the remains in a kiln or dispose of them in other ways.

During the 1893 Columbian Exposition, Holmes opened his home as a hotel for visitors. Unfortunately, many guests did not survive in what became known as the "Murder Castle.

  • The Louise Bell & Michael Black Murder case. This is a true crime case, all three cases of abduction and two of murder, are all linked to the same offender. On January 5th, 1983, 10-year-old Louise Bell was kidnapped from her bedroom window at her Hackham West home in Adelaide, South Australia. The abduction and murder of Michael Black in January 1989 and the molestation of another boy later that year.

The court heard it was not just the DNA evidence that pointed to Pfennig as the killer, but also what he said and did in the weeks, months, and years after the 10-year-old girl's disappearance. Prosecutor Sandi McDonald said from the moment Louise was taken from her bedroom in January 1983, the killer had left a trail behind, and that trail led to Pfennig.

She said it was how he behaved and what he said and did, including admissions he made while in prison for other offences. Pfennig had also taunted police and authorities by making phone calls about the case, the court heard. But Ms McDonald told the court there were still some mysteries, including how Louise was removed through her bedroom window.

He was a suspect for more than 2 decades and lived only 10 minutes from the home with his wife and 2 daughters. The former maths and science teacher denied the charge and he did not give evidence at his trial, which ran for several months over 2015 and 2016.

Pfennig allegedly told an inmate her body was in the same place as a boy (Michael Black). He is currently serving a life sentence for murdering Michael Black in 1989. Plus 38 years for the murder of Louise Bell.

Bodies of Adelaide children Louise and Michael have never been recovered. Social Links & Contact Info

  • The valentines day murders. Evidence pointed to their killer or killers repeatedly tightening and loosening the ropes around their necks as a form of torture and way of prolonging the killings. HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. -- Orange County investigators hope new technology will give them a new break in a decades-old murder. Jesse McBane, 19, and his fiancé, Patricia Mann, 20, were killed in February 1971.

Jesse was a freshman at NC State and Patricia was a nursing student at Watts Hospital.

Authorities found the couple in a wooded area near Howe Street, that's now a Durham subdivision. The couple was kidnapped, tortured, strangled, and tied to a tree. They still were clothed. They still had their property, jewellery, rings, wallets, stuff of that nature. So, robbery didn't appear to be the motive. They were bound individually around the neck and hands.

The M-Vac System enables investigators to solve more crime through better DNA collection. It expands potential evidentiary items by collecting DNA from porous and rough objects or surfaces. example, the M-Vac collected probative DNA on a cold case victim's water soaked clothing.

  • This case examines Kiranjit's childhood in India, she was one of nine and her Mother and Father died when she was 16 years old, she states her upbringing was incredibly good and she had a middle-class quality of life.

As a child and young adult, her ambitions were to study and not marry as was normal in her culture. She found that outside forces limited her ambitions and while visiting her Brother in Canada she was persuaded to settle down and marry.

She states that she had no choice but to marry. Her Bother, who she was staying with and who lived in Canada arranged for a Man called Deepak Ahluwalia to fly from England to Canada to meet Kiranjit. Kiranjit and Deepak only met once before getting married in Canada.

Ahluwalia states that the abuse started the next day after marrying Deepak, they then moved the UK to start their married life. She claims there were ten years of physical, psychological, and sexual abuse.

She tried to kill Deepak on the 9th May 1989 by setting him alight when he was asleep, using petrol and caustic soda (his death is described within the video). Deepak died 6 days later.

After initially being convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison, Ahluwalia's conviction was later overturned on grounds of inadequate counsel and replaced voluntary manslaughter.

Although her submission of provocation failed (under R v Duffy the loss of control needed to be sudden, which this was not), she successfully pleaded the partial defence of diminished responsibility under s.2 Homicide Act 1957 on the grounds that fresh medical evidence (which was not available at her original trial) may indicate diminished mental responsibility.
