Romarilyn Ralston is Senior Director of Justice Education Center at Claremont Colleges and former Executive Director of Project Rebound at California State University Fullerton. She identifies as a black feminist abolitionist with an incarceration experience. Romarilyn earned a Bachelor’s degree in Gender & Feminist Studies from Pitzer College and a Master’s degree in Liberal Arts from Washington University in St. Louis after 23 years of incarceration.

Canaan was wrongly sentenced to death but educated himself in Kampala Prison and successfully appealed his conviction. He tells us his story and about the work he does to help others in prison through Justice Defenders.

Paul Gallagher was the innocent victim of a shooting by the loyalist paramilitary group the UDA. Paul was left in a wheelchair by the incident but with the support of the WAVE Trauma Centre, began to recover and eventually completed a PhD in Sociology. Follow Paul on Twitter @cutdabegs
