We're back in the building as Spurs appear to be intent on being the busiest Premier League club in the summer transfer window, having now confirmed three signings in Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi and the £52M signing of centre-back in Jan Paul van Hecke from Brighton and Hove Albion.

News also broke during the show that Tottenham Hotspur are interested in a move for West Ham United midfielder Mateus Fernandes, while they remain keen on signing Newcastle United’s Sandro Tonali. We discuss if we can get these signings over the line and what it will mean for a number of the current first-team squad and whether they will remain.

We're back twice in a matter of days as Tottenham have agreed a deal with Brighton to sign defender Jan Paul van Hecke. The deal is believed to be around £52M and the player has expressed his desire to play under 'father figure' Roberto De Zerbi. The centre-back only wanted to join Tottenham.

Spurs' statement of intent appears to be taking shape as Tottenham want to sign Newcastle midfielder Sandro Tonali this summer. The Italy international is a top target for Spurs boss Roberto De Zerbi as he looks to rebuild his squad after helping the club avoid relegation from the Premier League. One of Spurs' top priorities this summer is improving the technical ability of the squad and bringing in a midfielder who can dictate play.

The club also remain interested in Manchester City forward Savinho meanwhile Brighton target Luka Vuskovic wants to leave Tottenham permanently. The 19-year-old is not happy at the prospect of being sent out on loan, or a lack of gametime at Spurs following the addition of Marcos Senesi and impending arrival of Jan Paul van Hecke.

Spurs’ summer transfer window appears to be beginning with a genuine statement signing as Tottenham Hotspur has forcefully entered the race to sign Newcastle United's star midfielder Sandro Tonali.

Head coach Roberto De Zerbi is the driving force behind this ambitious move.

Spurs have already struck deals to sign Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi on free transfers, while they are also working to sign Savinho, Jan Paul van Hecke and Joao Palhinha.

Now, it has emerged that they are making an audacious move for Newcastle standout Tonali, who has been heavily linked with several Big Six clubs in recent months.

Despite selling Anthony Gordon, Newcastle remain at risk of losing Tonali following their failure to qualify for Europe ahead of next season.

After a bright start to the transfer window for Tottenham, the Club are being faced with the prospect of selling one of Europe's top young talents in Luka Vuskovic to Brighton before he's even played a competitive game for the Club.

While the club continues to monitor defensive targets, including Dutch international Jan Paul van Hecke, they must now decide whether Vušković is part of their immediate plans or whether a substantial profit on a player who has not yet featured for the first team is too good to refuse. With Brighton prepared to invest heavily, the battle for one of Croatian football's brightest prospects appears to be entering a crucial phase.

The panel are back on Last Word On Spurs in another busy week around Hotspur Way as Tottenham have signed defender Marcos Senesi on a free transfer following his departure from Bournemouth. The 29-year-old will officially complete his move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 1 July, subject to international clearance. Senesi, capped three times by Argentina, decided to leave Bournemouth earlier in the season after rejecting three contract offers from the club. The centre-back - who has also just been included in Argentina's squad for this summer.

We also reacted to the news that Tottenham have confirmed that Ben Davies has signed a new contract with the club, while Yves Bissouma is leaving as a free agent. Davies joined Spurs from Swansea City in 2014 and will now extend his stay in north London into a 13th season, having made 363 appearances for the club to date. Only 20 players have played more matches for Tottenham in their history, including Davies' former team-mates Heung-min Son, Hugo Lloris, Harry Kane and Eric Dier. Spurs did not confirm the length of Davies' new deal, but widespread reports on Wednesday said it was a one-year extension.

As one player commits there future, one departs as but there was no new deal for Bissouma, who played the full 90 minutes in the Bilbao showpiece. Bissouma made 111 appearances for Spurs after arriving from Brighton in 2022, scoring two goals – both of which came in the Premier League in 2024-25. We reflect on the potential Bissouma had and why that quite never materialised during his time at Spurs.

We close on Spurs' pursuit of both Jan Paul Van Hecke and Savinho and whether we feel both deals will eventually be completed.

Daniel Levy was removed from his position as chairman after nearly 25 years in charge.

Frank was spotted drinking from a coffee cup that had Arsenal’s badge on it. Frank ended up being sacked the following month and replaced by Igor Tudor, who lasted only 44 days before Roberto De Zerbi took over. For further details go to https://saily.com/lwosOn this edition of the show we return to discuss Tottenham Hotspur making an offer to sign defender Jan Paul van Hecke from Brighton & Hove Albion. The proposal for the 25-year-old fell short of Brighton’s valuation, but talks continue and as a direct result of how serious the bid was, a transfer could be finalised before the World Cup with the player keen on the move. Barring any late disasters, free transfers for left-back Andy Robertson and left-sided centre-back Marcos Senesi are expected to be pushed through to be announced after the Premier League transfer window opens on June 15. Both players currently have contracts with Liverpool and Bournemouth respectively until the end of this month.Spurs are getting two ball-playing defenders, the numbers back that up. Senesi and Van Hecke are a level above Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven in terms of passing ability, we discuss where that leaves Spurs other defenders and who are vulnerable to a summer move.Romero's future looks increasingly like being spent away from the club next season once the World Cup is done, with the expectation since January that he would leave, we discuss if we are all ready to see the captain depart. We also discuss Spurs' ongoing pursuit of Savinho, with Tottenham considering making an offer, however no direct approach to Man City has yet been made one could come in the next few days.Tottenham also want a central midfielder who can pass from deep, and are among the clubs who like Hayden Hackney, but it's believed that Roberto De Zerbi has put forward Bruno Guimarães to Tottenham Hotspur and he is viewed as a dream target; however a deal would be tough to do, we reflect on whether that would truly show the ambition of the football club.We close on what would be logical window in terms of what Spurs need to rebuild with Roberto De Zerbi only having to navigate one-game-a-week without any European commitments.Independent Multi-Award Winning Tottenham Hotspur Fan Channel (Podcast) providing instant post-match analysis and previews to every single Spurs match along with a range of former players, managers & special guests. Host Ricky Sacks and co-host Billie T are joined by German Football Correspondent and Tottenham Hotspur supporter Seb Stafford-Bloor, Seb last joined us during the Pochettino years on Last Word On Spurs, as we opened up about where the club currently finds itself and their pursuit of a new Director Of Football.

Given Seb's background in German Football, he provides incredible insight into Sebastian Kehl who has been linked with the role and whether he is a viable candidate, with talk that Spurs have now changed their stance and are looking for a 'World-Class operator' we discuss whether someone of Dougie Freedman's ilk could be persuaded to take the job.

Independent Multi-Award Winning Tottenham Hotspur Fan Channel (Podcast) providing instant post-match analysis and previews to every single Spurs match along with a range of former players, manager, special guests.

We also dive deep into Luka Vušković's last 12 months on loan at Hamburger SV, a player that Seb has watched up close and personal, providing his view as to whether in his opinion if the Croatian player is ready for Premier League football with Spurs.

It's been a crazy last 24/48 hours around the Tottenham Hotspur rumour mill we quiz Seb on what he makes of the goalkeeping department as Vicario looks set to leave the Club to join a Serie A side in Italy, has Antonín Kinsky done enough to earn a chance to become the Club's number one.

We get Seb's take on Ben Davies set to sign a new contract extension. Davies has made more than 350 appearances for Spurs and has represented the football club for over 12 years. Pedro Porro looks likely to remain after Dumfries has received the 'Here We Go' to join Real Madrid.

If Cristian Romero leaves and Tottenham Hotspur decide they need an established right-sided centre-back to replace him, Jan Paul van Hecke has been mooted, we ask Seb whether he could be up to the potential task.

Roberto De Zerbi is understood to have held further talks with Joao Palhinha and ‘reiterated his desire’ to keep him. Palhinha also has apparently given Spurs first refusal on his signature permanently, can Spurs do better or does the player just make logical sense for Spurs to sign.

It's been a week where already the Club have been linked with reviving a move for Morgan Gibbs-White, we discuss with Seb what that could look like and whether Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis would dare think about letting him come to Spurs this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur are understood to be looking at winger options with Savinho a top priority and a move getting closer, we debate whether long-term the signing makes sense and why the Club can't afford to turn up their noses to the likes of Harry Wiilson.

  • The panel return on this edition to discuss Tottenham Hotspur closing in on the signings of Marcos Senesi and Andy Robertson, with both deals now agreed in principle as Roberto De Zerbi’s rebuild gathers pace in North London.

We also reflect on the news that Tottenham Hotspur have ‘pulled out’ of the race to sign Joao Palhinha. Spurs’ buy option expires on Monday, and Sporting CP are moving ahead with the deal. Talks with Bayern Munich are expected to follow. Palhinha impressed on loan at Spurs and has expressed a desire to stay, with the London club holding a €30 million purchase option. Sporting want to bring the 30-year-old back to Lisbon, where he began his career. The midfielder is willing to take a significant pay cut to rejoin his boyhood club, and a broad understanding with the player is said to be in place.

A new loan move for Luka Vuskovic to Hamburger SV is apparently not a current option avaliable. The Croatian has two options: Long-term contract extension with high salary. A move to one of the biggest clubs in Europe. Talks are ongoing over the player’s future. Luka Vuskovic has revealed his Tottenham future will not be decided until after the World Cup. We discuss what the best next step is for the youngster.

Tottenham Hotspur are expected to strengthen their attack this summer, and a new report suggests that Marcus Rashford could become an option. Spurs have reportedly shown interest in signing Marcus Rashford this summer after a 28-goal contribution season with Barcelona, during which he scored 14 goals and provided 14 assists. We debate whether the Club could entice him into coming to the club and whether Spurs can get the best out of him.

Finally we close on the news that Spurs have launched an internal review into last season. An internal review has been ongoing since the appointment of Dan Lewindon as Performance Director from Manchester City. This comes after he found significant challenges within Spurs. He joined the Club one day before Thomas Frank was sacked. We reflect on whether the Club will take the learnings from last season and put them into action in both the upcoming window in addition to decisions made both off/on the pitch.
