Meet Steve Calabro or to owner Peter Morton…”Rock”. Steve worked as a doorman with his brother Freddie and then moved behind the bar with some help from Peter himself. Steve talks about working the door at the Hard Rock and other places, confrontations with customers, and club courtesy that existed in LA at the time. Steve also shared bar stories to tell as he tells us about his first day behind the bar and a trial by fire orchestrated by some of the other bartenders.

Birdie is a no-nonsense gal with a soft heart who tells us about her journey from Ontario Canada and how love brought her to LA to the corner of San Vicente & Beverly where she started her career working for the Hard Rock Café. Birdie gives a colorful account of her time with the HRC and some of the stories from her first interview with Hard Rock owner Peter Morton to her journey from LA to Vegas to Universal City to Florida with a little Victorville sprinkled in between
