Your host, Eric Dunuvant, and co-host Christopher Callahan talk with Rabbi Daniel Lapin. Rabbi Lapin's teachings revolve around the idea that ancient Jewish wisdom holds timeless principles that can guide individuals in achieving success and harmony in their lives. These principles are not exclusive to any particular spiritual heritage and can be embraced by anyone willing to learn and apply them.
Rabbi Lapin emphasizes the interconnectedness of finances, family, faith, friendships, and fitness. He argues that true success and fulfillment come from balancing and integrating these aspects of life rather than focusing on them in isolation. To create a balanced schedule, allocate time each week to focus on each of these five areas. For example, dedicate specific days or hours to family activities, financial planning, spiritual growth, social interactions, and physical fitness. When setting goals, ensure they encompass all five areas. For instance, a goal to improve health should also consider how it impacts your family life and social interactions.

As parents, Eric and Angel agree that it's crucial to teach their children about stewardship and the understanding that everything they have is a gift. This perspective is rooted in their belief that everything belongs to a higher power, and they are merely caretakers of these blessings. This approach has been central to how they've raised their children.
Eric and Angel have always believed that the true joy of generosity is witnessed in the impact it has on others. Your host, Eric Dunuvant, talks with the Founder and Owner of, David Williams. David's story begins in his childhood, where he was confronted with labels and challenges that could have easily derailed his aspirations. He was told he had a learning disability, a stigma that often leads to lowered expectations and opportunities. However, David didn't let this define him. Instead, he found inspiration in his father, one of his first mentors, who instilled in him the value of grit and the importance of hard work.
David's passion for baseball became a proving ground for his resilience. He knew he wasn't the most naturally gifted player, but he was determined to outwork everyone else. This tenacity allowed him to close the talent gap and excel in the sport he loved. Unfortunately, an arm injury shattered his dream of playing professional baseball, but this setback only marked the beginning of a new chapter in his life.
Entering the workforce, David quickly made his mark at Circuit City, becoming the youngest store manager in the company's history. But life threw another curveball at him when he was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called ankylosing spondylitis. Rather than succumbing to despair, David's faith and determination propelled him to seek new opportunities, leading him to the insurance business.
A pivotal moment came when David invested his 401k savings into purchasing inventory from a liquidating business. This bold move paid off, as he sold the inventory to raise capital, which he then used to start his insurance agency. The road was fraught with obstacles, but David's unwavering determination and faith saw him through, ultimately leading to his success in the insurance industry.

Your host, Christopher Callahan, talks with the President, Founder, and Focus ROI Strategist of Paradiem, Eric and Angel Dunavant. The discussion began with an earnest conversation about the fundamental values that motivate entrepreneurs. It is held that the welfare of one's family and the legacy one leaves are of utmost importance. The achievements sought in the boardroom should not eclipse the cultivation of one's domestic life. Eric and Angel divulged their battles with the isolation inherent in entrepreneurship and its impact on their marital relationship – a situation many can empathize with.
An alarming 70% of Americans admit to feeling lonely, which is presumed to be even higher among entrepreneurs. The discussion delved into how the burden of responsibility and the significant risks involved in managing a business can foster a sense of detachment. Personal stories underscored the challenges of sustaining friendships and the often-neglected necessity for a community that grasps the distinct stresses entrepreneurs endure.
To counteract the loneliness, Eric and Angel spoke about their initiative – the Entrepreneur Supper Club. Stemming from a wish to confront solitude, this group offers a haven for entrepreneurs to connect, exchange their experiences, and support one another. They recounted how participants quickly felt comfortable sharing openly, underscoring the significant influence of a setting devoted to sincere engagement.
