In 1959, nine experienced hikers led by Igor Dyatlov embarked on a trek through the Ural Mountains in Soviet Russia, only to meet a mysterious and deadly fate. Their bodies were found under bizarre circumstances, with their tent torn from the inside and scattered across the snow, some with strange injuries like skull fractures and signs of radiation. Despite numerous theories, including avalanches, military tests, and the paranormal, the true cause of the Dyatlov Pass Incident remains an unsolved mystery.

We hope you enjoy! -
Today, Britt and April are joined by their very first guest on the podcast: one of Britt's best friends, Lindsey. Lindsey helps shine a light on the puzzling and, as always, devastating disappearance of Theo Hayez.
At the age of 18 Hayez, like many others who had finished up with their high schooling, decided to take some time and discover more of what the world had to offer. He was backpacking around Australia on the trip of a lifetime when he disappeared on a night out in Byron Bay in 2019.
In this episode, Britt takes us through the last recorded movement of Theo and allows us to deep-dive into the question on everyone's minds: What happened to Theo Hayez? -
Hello again, KTDC fam.
We are back with another heavy one.
This week's episode follows a crime within a series of even bigger, more disturbing crimes.
When Walter Collins went missing in 1928, his mother, Christine, was (understandably) beside herself. As the LAPD worked (in a sarcastic tone) oh, so hard to locate the young boy and reunite him with his mother, the series of events that unfolded were beyond what anyone could have ever imagined.
Join us this week as we discuss what has turned out to be one of America's most puzzling disappearances and shocking discovery of a serial killer.

We are starting 2024 off with one of the world's most notorious unsolved murder cases: The Brutal Murder of JonBenét Ramsey.
In the early morning hours of December 26, 1996, John and Patsy Ramsey awoke to find their six-year-old daughter JonBenét Ramsey missing from her bed at their home in Boulder, Colorado. Patsy and John had woken up early to prepare for a trip when Patsy discovered a ransom note on the stairs demanding $118,000 for their daughter’s safe return.
Despite the note’s warning not to involve police, Patsy immediately called them, as well as friends and family to aid in the search for JonBenét Ramsey. Police arrived at 5:55 AM and found no signs of forced entry, but did not search the basement, where her body would eventually be found.
In this episode, Britt takes us on a fantastically well-researched account of all the facts and theories surrounding this almost unbelievable case. So, what are you waiting for? Come kill some time with us. -

This episode recounts the senseless murder of a beautiful and innocent woman, Christy Mirack.
It was the morning of December 21st 1992. 25 year old Christy Mirack had finally fulfilled her dream of becoming a teacher, and was looking forward to giving her students the Christmas presents she had excitably wrapped. Christy was leaving for work, when evil struck. Police were left with no answers or substantial leads, which led the case to go cold for nearly two and a half decades.
This was until the case was reopened with fresh eyes after notable developments in DNA genealogy were made, but how would law enforcement bring Christy’s killer to justice?
We hope you enjoy killing time with us in today’s episode.

Killing Time, Discussing Crime brings you the second instalment of the conflicting case surrounding the murder of Burt Templet by his own son, Anthony.
Was it murder or self-defence?
Watch Netflix's 'I Killed My Father' for visuals on this case. -
Today we bring you the first instalment of the conflicting case that emerged when Anthony Templet shot and killed his father.
On Thursday the 6th of June, 2019, Burt Templet died in hospital as a result of the gunshot wound to the head he had received three days prior from his son. Anthony had been swiftly arrested after, unusually, calling the police on himself and confessing to what he had done. His reasoning? Self-defence.
Friends and family were shocked. They couldn't believe this had happened, and even more so that Anthony was the one responsible. But when the media began reporting the crime, the case took an unexpected turn that no one could have seen coming.
So, was Burt's death a calculated killing, or was Anthony really forced to act in self-defence against his father? -

*TRIGGER WARNING*
This episode discusses violence, sexual assault, mutilation and cannibalism.
45-year-old John Price was becoming increasingly afraid that his abusive partner, Katherine Knight, was going to seriously harm himself or his children. So much so that on the 29th of February, 2000, made a comment to his neighbours that if his car was still in the driveway the next day, it meant he hadn't made it to work because Katherine had killed him.As predicted, the following day John's car was still there and he was a no-show at work. Police were called to his house and promptly made their way inside. Although they expected the worst, nothing could prepare them for the true extent of the horrors they were about to uncover.
