Here is something that is getting lots of attention especially from our friends at AARP who believe this way of life could be a boost for family caregivers. Meet Mike Stuart from Tiny Homes of Iowa as we talk about the benefits of placing one of these Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU) on your property. Imagine a place for aging parents, loved ones in need of care or even rental income. However, it seems like every community have very different rules about ADU's. We'll let Mike share his story.

It was a scary Halloween on Wall Street and we'll kick that story out first. Also a bit of something unique. While most kids in the U.S. Trick or Treat on Halloween that's not been the case here in Iowa for decades. You see, back in 1938 some kids wandered around tipping over outhouses and so the decision was made to move trick or treating to "Beggars Night" which it the night BEFORE Halloween. (Like that might slow outhouse tipping.) Odd...we know. However because heavy storms raced through the Greater Des Moines Metro yesterday the night to Trick or Treat is actually tonight. It's a win for traditionalists. But please, no outhouse tipping...which is pretty impossible because we don't have them.
