Today we will look at the biblical concept of the atonement. What did it really mean for Christ to plan ahead from the foundation of the world to the day He would hang on the cross to pay the price for our sins? Blood is central to atonement, and only the blood of Jesus could meet our needs.

Assurance is required in some aspects of life. We will consider some of them on today’s “In the Beacon’s Light.” One aspect involves music, and another, the day of the Lord’s appearing. We don’t know the day or the hour, but knowing the times and seasons is required to those who are faithful in watching for the Lord’s return. Look up! It could be today!

On today’s “In the Beacon’s Light,” we will explore some of the wonders of our bodies. Our saliva and how much of it we produce, what it could dissolve, the speed of a sneeze, and who lives longer: a right-hander or a lefty. I think you will agree that we are fearfully and wonderfully made!

Scripture admonishes us to “prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God” if our lives are going to count for God. The problem today is, we have conformed to the world, and not been transformed to God’s will for our lives. Join us as we consider Romans 12:1-2

I don’t play chess, but I know enough to realize strategy is paramount to winning the game. We will look at an article today that deals with how we are being manipulated with the Covid plan-demic. The facts are there with who said them and when. We are talking about a comprehensive, meticulous plan for changing our ENTIRE world! No detail has not been addressed. It is frightening.

So many of the things from scripture that can be called the “Signs of the Times” are happening before our eyes. Many things in life can be looked back on and we say later, “I should have seen it coming.” Jesus’ return will be with no warning other than general scripture foretelling it. Are we watching what is going on? Do you see a hint?

Have you ever wondered how little time is left before the Lord returns? Satan knows he has but a little time, so it is no surprise to learn that a chaplain at a school in Great Britain has been censured for telling biblical truth to students. England yesterday, the United States today!

Since there is a minimal chance that many of us will meet face to face in this life, after all of these one-way meetings, I thought it might be a good thing to finally introduce myself to you. You have been warned, so that is what you can expect.

Jerusalem is mentioned in the Bible over 967 times either as Jerusalem or Zion. It has been a central focus of enemies for centuries, for good reason: In God’s plan, Jerusalem is literally at the center of the earth. We will look at why that is important.

It is beginning to be frightening when we hear some of the reports of what we thought were nations that champion freedom now clamping down on a Christian’s right to free speech and witness. It is safe to say we are getting closer every day to the second coming of Christ and the time of tribulation that will follow. See if you agree.

If you can tell me what was created in 1903 by Lizzie Magie, I will pronounce you to be a trivia master. The answer is, the board game, Monopoly. Fortunate is the person or business who has been able to monopolize something well enough to make a living. The realities of life don’t allow us to be in control, so who is?

On the next time we join you for the podcast, “In the Beacon’s Light,” we will look at what could be the worst possible moment. We all have one we can remember but wish we couldn’t. We look first at one that is made up but could be real and another that, if it becomes real, will indeed be the very worst.

Confidence is a very good thing to have in every aspect of life. Of utmost importance is making sure it is properly founded on reality, like making sure the ice is thick and strong enough to hold you before venturing out on it.

If you have ever traveled to the Holy Land to tour, you may have stopped at the top of Mount Carmel where Elijah with the power of God confronted the false prophets of Baal. The exciting account is in I Kings 18 and worth your time to read before we discuss it.

In the far northeast corner of Florida is an unusual lighthouse that has no visible door and seems to be a total anomaly. We will take a good look at the St. Johns River light house.

Did you see it? Did you see the New York City Twin Towers collapse? It was unforgettable. Worse, it was unimaginable, but it happened. The financial loss, the material loss, the loss of life was beyond comprehension. If you saw it, you know.

All who are anxious to die, raise your hand! Unless you are seriously ill and in pain, you would not be one raising your hand. Unfortunately, all of us will die unless Jesus comes back for us first. We will all meet Him someday and we will talk about that.
