Peace is something that can easily be said, is the most wanted thing in our world today. Peace can come in many forms. It can come from no war. It can come from a healthy family dynamic and it can come from the ability to acknowledge a situation as it is. The peace we talk about today only comes from God. One of my favorite movie lines is "Just keep swimming", I firmly believe this fits perfectly with this episode. Jude calls us in this second half of the book to ultimately keep doing what we are supposed to do. Has God ever laid something different on your heart than what you had planned? Here we see Jude experiencing just that. His intent was a happy letter, but instead changes into a warning. If we look closely, we can see that much hasn't changed in a few thousand years, we still have the same problems that were existing in the earlier church. My favorite prank as a kid was the snakes in the can, mainly because you got to give someone something totally different than what they expected. Thats what Jesus did with the Jews. They expected him to be someone totally different. I believe that many times we expect Jesus to be something different who he is. We must take the time to fully know Jesus by diving into the word and going to him in prayer and the better we know him the better our lives can be.
