What is better than learning from others? You can learn from their rights AND their wrongs.
That's why I am starting a series in which I will react to different IELTS speaking tests at different band scores. I will give comments on what goes wrong and how to avoid the mistakes that the candidate makes.
This week, I am watching and commenting on a BAND 5.5 speaking test. My impression:
1. This is NOT scripted and is very useful for you.
2. I am really impressed with this teacher/examiner.

Don't you agree that IELTS speaking produced A LOT of myths? It might take days to talk about all the myths but this 1-hour episode will help you debunk the biggest myths in IELTS speaking.
This episode features Roshna Ikbal - one of the most popular IELTS teachers in Kerala, India. Roshna and I discussed a lot of things. Everything is based on our experience and understanding of the exam.
The episode is a bit long but I didn't want to cut it short or exclude anything because what we talked about was really on point. Listen to it. Pause if you need to, and come back later. You won't regret it.

If you are self-studying, this episode is definitely for you. There are a lot of misconceptions about IELTS writing task 2. I think this is the most misunderstood task in IELTS. I often see people look at the questions, but not the statements. They also often treat all the tasks the same way, which is not quite right. And the templates!

If you are taking IELTS General Training, this is for you. I won't believe it if you tell me that you have never experienced frustration from work emails (I mean...huh? Really? You love your job that much?). In real life, we consider manners extremely important so I think it is time we treated an IELTS letter as one real letter, which means we need to put the right manners in it.
This episode will show you what it really means by "putting the right manners" and how to to it.
