It's Western Month! Colin is back and we're hitting the trails to watch John Candy's OTHER Posthumously Released movie, the western comedy 'Wagons East!'. We knock another movie off the list for Colin who continues his quest to infuse more John Candy into his life. And another chance to see more of the other John... John C. McGinley who may be the biggest redeeming quality of this film. I'll be honest with you... a LOT of comparisons to Almost Heroes in this one, so if you haven't listened to that episode (159), it would make a great companion piece. What did we have to say about it? Tune in to find out!

What do you do when it turns out that one of your precious childhood movies now stars a monster of a human being? That's what we find out this week when Shawn and his son Kris, take a look at our final Daddy Issues movie, the 1990 family classic 'Ghost Dad'. We do our very best to try to separate art and artist this week as we navigate this Bill Cosby romp. And after looking past the person in the lead, how does this movie legitimately hold up? Tune in to find out!

This week for Daddy Issues month, Shawn and his son Kris take a look at a father willing to commit fraud in order to keep his kid, in the 90s classic 'Big Daddy'. We haven't done a whole lot of Adam Sandler flicks up to this point so we felt it was time to watch a sentimental one. A vaguely racist Schneider character, and inexplicably hot love interest and a whole lotta product placements, this is the Sandman at his Sandler-est. What did we think of it? Tune in to find out!

Daddy Issues Month continues and Kris Wells is back to co-host with Shawn when we explore the difficulty of having a megalomaniacal father with the classic 'Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me'. This is one of Kris's all-time favorite franchises, so we take a look at why and whether it should be. We get off on tangents, gush over certain characters, explore international censorship, the physics of time and space and OF COURSE, because it's Austin Powers, we will be discussing poop. What did we think of it? Tune in to find out!

In an attempt at some father/son bonding, Shawn has given both his usual co-hosts a month off. In their place, Shawn's son, and past guest Kris Wells, steps into the role as we dive into some movie featuring Daddy Issues. And what better to scar a child than witnessing your parents murdered in front of you like our heroes in this week's film 'Batman Forever'. This is a long one. In fact, our longest to date. Clearly, I haven't spoken enough to my son since he moved out because we get off on some wild tangents. But it's a lot of fun. What did we think, especially after praising 'Batman & Robin' so highly in a previous episode? Can this be viewed with the same lens? Tune in to find out!

It's time for our Strange Imports Month vacation to come to an end. Shawn and Aaron have one final stop in France, where it's about to get really weird with 'The City Of Lost Children'. I'll be honest... There's a good chance you've never heard of or seen this movie. It's very niche. Not only is it foreign, but it's also just a very surreal, bizarre film. Much like 'Zebraman' in episode 172, this is another one where "If you know you know". But if you know and like weird films like 'Brazil' or 'Dark City' (spoiler alert of our episode) we would both recommend this. It's worth it. Try something new tonight. Go watch Ron Pearlman speak French. Whoa... weren't seeing that twist coming, were you? Go watch this film, then come listen to us blab.

Our world trip Strange Imports Month continues. Shawn and Aaron go from Japan to Australia, because it's time for an Outback roadtrip. The original drag race, the 90s Pride-filled, long-titled cult classic 'The Adventures Of Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert'. 3 legendary actors and one lavender colored bus, with an epic soundtrack and fabulous outfits... need I say more?!? Okay, I will because I'm also gonna remind say "Pung Ping balls" and leave it at that. If you know, you know. How does it hold up after 30 years? Tune in to find out!

Our Strange Imports Month continues. This week, Shawn and Aaron travel from South Africa to Japan to take a look at a Superhero story with Power Rangers flair, the Japanese action flick 'Zebraman'. If you are looking at this episode and wondering "What the hell is Zebraman?!?" you NEED to check this movie out. I mean it! This is one of those episodes where we aren't trying to attract listeners to our podcast. This is one where we're trying to spread word of this movie. But seriously! I found this movie online easily. Go find it... it's worth it! Then come back and listen.

However, if you're looking at this episode because you are well aware of who Zebraman is, welcome, friend. You're in for a good time.

Shawn and Aaron are traveling the world together through cinema with our Strange Imports month. Our first stop takes us to South Africa for the coke bottle cult classic 'The Gods Must Be Crazy'. The humor is intelligent at times but overall slapstick, until it gets a little too real. Oh, and it's a touch racist. Who would've thunk it with a movie made in the heart of apartheid? It's a first-time viewing for Aaron... what did he think? How does it hold up? Tune in to find out!

Our March Madness month comes to an end. To say goodbye, Shawn and Aaron have decided to take a look at the 1989 field trip comedy 'The Dream Team'. This film, that may make you say "Oh yeah... that one...", was a staple of Shawn's childhood for some reason. But if you don't remember this one, Dream Team is the perfect way to sum up this hilarious cast. Did we choose the right movie to close out the month? What did first time viewer Aaron think? Is it any good? Tune in to find out!

March Madness rolls on and Shawn is joined by Official Substitute Co-host Aaron Knowles to discuss an oldie, but a goodie, the 1990 comedy 'Crazy People'. Okay... real talk here... I'm gonna level with you. It's just us here... look... I never do this, because obviously I want you to listen to the episode and I hate to spoil our impression of it... but Aaron and I both freaking loved this film! Like, I get it... you've probably never heard of this Dudley Moore movie. That's fine. It may not be well known. But both Aaron and I think it should be. The point is, do yourself a favor. If you've never seen this movie, find a copy, watch it, come listen to the episode. It's a suuuuuuper funny episode and I'd hate for you to miss it just because you're turned off because you've never heard of this flick. Broaden your horizons! You'll laugh at the movie, but you'll laugh even harder at this podcast episode. Tune in to find out!

While Colin takes some time off for another performance, Official Substitute Co-host Aaron Knowles is back, so he and Shawn can discuss that backwards, psychological thriller that Finding Dory clearly ripped off, the 2001 classic 'Memento'. We talk tattoos, shaking polaroid pictures, Joey Pants, sgniht sdrawkcab, manipulation, Sammy Jenkis and so much more. Where was I? What were we talking about again? I meant to tell you, it's March Madness! Are we talking basketball? Not even a little. But in the spirit of sports, Official Substitute Co-host Aaron Knowles is tagging in! Wait, who's this? Where am I? Tune in to find out!

It's been a helluva Meguary, but all good things must come to an end. Bringing the month home, Shawn and Colin are sitting down to watch something that is less rom-com, than it is sci-com, as we take on the classic 'Innerspace'. Our heroine for the month gets pushed aside into a supporting role in this one as we look at the wacky antics of Martin Short, the charming charisma of Dennis Quaid, and all the goofy espionage you can handle. We discuss, with very little expertise whatsoever, in depth biology, parkour, and miniaturization technology. What did we think of it? Tune in to find out!

Meguary rolls on, and this week Shawn and Colin take on the granddaddy of them all, the 1989 rom-com classic 'When Harry Met Sally'. We'll have what she's having, what he's having... We'll have what EVERYBODY is having with this classic of classics. We discuss obnoxious habits, drop the mic moments, how it compares to othe Meg Ryan we've watched, Seinfeldian sensibilities, major choreography, discreet special effects and so much more. Is this THE rom-com? How does it stack up to our previous Meguary entries? Is it still good? Tune in to find out!

Meguary rolls on, and as we enter the most romantic part of the month, it's time for Shawn and Colin to look at one of the most romantic films of all time, the 1993 classic 'Sleepless In Seattle'. For a movie with Seattle in the title, its amazing how much of it has nothing to do with Seattle. We discuss that and many other things like the stalker side of things, the Ryan and Hanks of it all, radio call-in shows, magic, signs of a quirky character, Walter's lament and so much more. Does this film deserve the love it gets? How does it hold up? Tune in to find out!

Everybody loves Meg... is Seth the angel the destined one? How does it hold up to the other romantic classics? What did we think? Tune in to find out!

This week, Shawn and Colin are inviting a first-time American guest Chris Goffredo to discuss all things Canada, when we dive into the satirical comedy classic 'Canadian Bacon'. Our third posthumously movie looks at the movie people don't automatically associate as star John Candy's last film. We get it... you may not have even heard of this movie. But as Canadians, we love it. You should seek out a copy, give it a watch, and then listen to this episode. Like seriously, this episode was a lot of fun. We go on several tangents. Hell, you might even enjoy the episode if you've never seen the flick... It's that good! What could be so good that I break from my usual show note format to highlight it?!? Tune in to find out!

As our 'Wish You Were Here In The New Year' month continues, Shawn and Colin take a look back at a movie released after TWO stars of the film passed away. The 1990 animated classic 'Jetsons: The Movie'. You know who the Jetsons are, have you seen the feature film? You know... the one with pop star Tiffany as Judy Jetson? We get into that and all things Jetsons, all things subtle environmental message-y, and all things future. It's a great chat... How does the movie hold up? Tune in to find out!
