The boys are praising the power of the vulva and the girlies shooting ping pong balls out of them this week. Standard. Travel woes are getting to both the boys, as PJ didn’t get frisked by the hot security guy at the airport and he’s raging, and Kevin is missing the superior Irish rail service.
In honour of pride month, the lads are talking all about gay villages this week. Many major cities have them: areas specifically catering to the LGBTQ+ community. Once created out of necessity, they've become hotspots for all kinds of nights out. PJ and Kevin are unpacking how gay villages came to be, their favourites around the world, and how the straights need to behave in the club.

PJ’s been star-spotting this week; he’s convinced he saw Deborah Meaden at the gym, and he reckons her head is probably wrecked from people trying to pitch business ideas to her. Kevin is launching a crusade against a certain brand of gay man who fell into the sale rack at Zara, said “I’ll take it”, and calls it fashion. The baby gays experimenting with rainbows and alternative looks though? Chefs kiss, we love you all.
The theme for this week is the rise of the sociopath, and the lads are wondering: are we all sociopaths? Or are we just becoming too individualistic? The idea that if something doesn't serve you, you don't have to do it is gaining popularity… but in protecting ourselves, are we losing community? It’s a lot to unpack… the horse’s name is Friday, girls.

It’s an episode of extremes today, girls. PJ has been recovering from the worst hangover of his life after taking some bad drinking advice from an evil twink. Meanwhile, Kevin’s been to watch his pal run the Hoka Hackney Half Marathon, and he can’t get over how supportive and wholesome the vibes are. And how hot the lads are.
For the theme this week, the boys are breaking into the Khia Asylum: the fictional pop star purgatory manned by the Bebe Rexha’s and Ava Max’s of the world. They wonder what it takes for a pop girl to get stuck there, how they can break free, and whether Mickey Joe Harte deserves a cell.

Kevin and PJ are riding high from the response to their Sky ad with Roy Keane this week; the family group chats have never been busier and the mams have never been prouder! Speaking of sports, they’re obsessed with the new Cork City Pride jerseys and how impactful they’ll be for queer people in sports.
Inspired by their recent episode about intelligence, the lads are talking all about moments of stupidity. The listeners have sent in stories of the stupidest thing they’ve ever done or thought, and girlies… ye didn’t disappoint! From fruit towns with fruit people to real-life black markets, the lads are absolutely howling at some of the blonde moments confessed this week.

Kevin is singing the praises of home makeover TV shows to a skeptical PJ this week, and the lads are inspired to think about their dream homes as kids (and adults, to be honest): secret doors and beds shaped like cars, anyone?
Speaking of kids, that’s the theme for this week: the boys are unpacking how attitudes to having kids have changed, why the right wingers are obsessed with making women have babies, and wondering who on earth is having sex with Elon Musk? They’re also unpacking whether they want kids themselves, or if the DINK/SINK life is just too appealing.

Sickness has hit I’m Grand Mam towers this week, after a run of Irish tour dates and a busy period for the lads. Kevin is gearing up for this birthday, and the boys are addressing the allegations that their Cork accents are all for show; you got them, gals!
The theme for this week is intelligence. As the old adage goes, you can’t judge a fish on its ability to climb a tree, so Kevin and PJ are unpacking what it means to be clever. They talk through the different types of intelligence, how street smarts are just as valuable as Leaving Cert results and how being funny is the smartest thing you can be.

Another busy week for the lads as they’ve been filming a top secret project and continuing the Irish leg of the tour. Kevin’s been crying (beautifully), PJ found his missing necklace with the help of Nuala and St. Anthony, and the PTs have been blowing up the DMs.
This week the theme is child stars, and PJ and Kevin are counting their lucky stars that they didn’t make it in showbiz as children. From Shirley Temple to Judy Garland to the Disney and Nickelodeon kids, child stardom isn’t all it’s cracked up to be; in fact, it seems to be downright dangerous.

‘Tis all go, girlies! The lads have been busy with touring, work commitments and buzzing social lives: so busy that Kevin has had to colour-code his Google cal. PJ was at his nephew’s confirmation this week, and was shocked to discover that kids aren’t getting slapped by the bishops as part of the ceremony any more. He’s even more shocked to learn that this was actually never common practice, and concludes that it must have been exclusive to the northside of Cork.
This week, the topic is sequels, prequels and remakes. With the Devil Wear’s Prada 2 coming out soon, Kevin and PJ are wondering why every movie that’s released these days seems to be a sequel or a remake of a beloved classic. They talk about the best sequels of all time (Shrek 2, anyone?), movies they’d love to see remade, and pick their favourites from the High School Musical trilogy.

Kevin’s keen to learn to drive, but with the fuel protests across Ireland this week, he’s not sure how useful it would be. The lads stand with the farmers, obviously, even if it did take PJ 5 hours to get from Cork to Dublin for Jordan’s wedding. Speaking of Jordan’s wedding, we find out more about PJ's antics on the stag, and why the wives and girlfriends at the wedding were fuming with him.
The theme for this week is luck; the ‘lucky girl’ aesthetic is all the rage right now, so the lads have been wondering how much of luck is mindset, and whether they believe in lucky traditions and superstitions.

The lads have absolutely had it with April Fool’s Day antics on social media, and think it’s about time we put a stop to it. In better news, this week Kevin’s family have been celebrating his brother’s engagement, which leads them to talk about the general mortification of Irish people doing… well, anything.
The theme for this week is teenage discos, and we’re throwing it back to a time laden with the scent of hairspray and Lynx Africa. It might be a rite of passage, but the teenage disco brought with it a whole lot of anxiety and pressure to fit in socially. The boys hear wild submissions from the listeners, covering everything from the best way to sneak vodka into to the disco, and the girlies kissing record numbers of boys in one night.

Kevin is on a crusade against culinary trends this week, and matcha and hot honey on pizza are in the firing line. PJ’s heartbroken that he failed his NCT (mainly because he chickened out of leaving a bribe in the glovebox), even though he’s loving booting around Cork in the car.The speed of the drive from the northside to the southside even inspires the lads to call for unification of the two sides of the river in The Rebel City.
The theme for this week is inventions, and the boys are unpacking some of the most influential inventions of all time. They’re also talking about inventions that we thought would take off but didn’t (3D glasses anyone?) and pitching some iconic ideas of their own.

The lads are buzzing after their first tour date, despite PJ losing his voice on stage and having had a gang of firemen round his gaff responding to a faulty carbon monoxide alarm. Meanwhile Kevin is lamenting the fact that Carmit has been excluded from the Pussycat Dolls reunion tour, but decides that if Kimberley can get her leg above her head and do her famous tilt, all will be forgiven.
For the theme this week, the boys are talking all about family feuds. From the Dunnes Stores saga to the world’s most famous elevator ride, we know that no family is immune to drama. They talk through some of the most common reasons for family fights, hear listener stories and discuss how to mend a rift.

Kevin and PJ have been in their best goth drag this week, and they can’t stop thinking about how hot they both looked in black eyeliner! Getting their makeup done makes them think back on their experiences with stage makeup as children, and they also start planning a charity drag night: watch this space, girlies!
For the theme, inspired by their upcoming Happy Campers shows, the lads are discussing all things tours: tour life, venue choices and the highest grossing tours of all time. From Taylor Swift to Coldplay, they can’t help but wonder what these artists are doing with all the millions and billions of bobs they’re making from touring the world.

Kevin’s had enough of PJ’s journey of enlightenment and self-improvement, which isn’t helped by PJ telling us all about his day farming and learning to grow his own veg in Wicklow. In other news, Kevin has had his now infamous polyp removed, and luckily his anaesthetist was fairly easy on the eyes, girls.
For the theme, the lads are discussing personality tests, specifically the Enneagram (which we now know has nothing to do with Scientology: phew!). Inspired by Amy Poehler and her Enneagram obsession, they take the quiz to uncover what personality type they are, and what traits they have in common.

The lads are buzzing after their second appearance on the Late Late Show, and not even the abysmal Facebook comments can bring them down! They laugh at some of the worst ones, while also acknowledging the loyal girlies who always have their backs. They then turn their attention to the mortal enemy of healthy gut microbiome everywhere: the airport sandwich. Inspired by Bad Bunny’s recent Super Bowl performance, the theme for this week is celebrity activism. The boys discuss some of the celebrities who have advocated for causes throughout their careers, and wonder whether we expect too much from our pop culture figures. Oh, and they have to ask: what the heck is going on with Nicki Maga Minaj?!

Strap in girlies: PJ is giving us the inside scoop on the WhatsApp group dedicated to farts that he’s been added to this week, and it’s harrowing stuff. The boys also discuss all the tea from the new America’s Next Top Model documentary, including Tyra attempting to gaslight us all in her now infamous trenchcoat.
In honour of International Women’s Day on March 8th, the lads are talking all about their favourite people: the girlies! The theme for this week is feminism, so Kevin has an excuse to talk about the ultimate feminist queen, Lisa Simpson, as well as the connection that gay men have to the women in their lives. They also discuss some of Ireland’s most impactful feminist icons and unpack common feminist stereotypes.

This week Kevin enters his glasses era after discovering he has astigmatism and the lads spend a significant amount of time unpacking what this means for him personally, professionally and spiritually. While the realisation has shaken him slightly, mainly because it has forced him to confront the fact that youth is perhaps not as close as it once was, there are upsides. Chief among them is the discovery that wearing glasses may actually improve his flirting success rate.
For the theme, Kevin and PJ dive into dating horror stories. From a girl whose date casually drove off in her car for twenty minutes leaving her stranded on a country road, to a man who spent an entire date aggressively eating wedges with greasy hands and an alarming number of ketchup sachets, the lads weigh in on the red flags, the survival tactics and the lessons learned.

This week Kevin and PJ are celebrating seven years of I'm Grand Mam. The lads take a trip down memory lane, reflecting on the highs, the lows and everything in between that’s happened since they first hit record. From chaotic early episodes to the milestones they never saw coming, it’s a proper sentimental moment… well, as sentimental as they allow themselves to be. Producer Sadhbh has also done some investigative work and listened back to the first five episodes, arriving with notes and a few pointed questions to see whether the boys still stand by some of the opinions they confidently shared seven years ago. Spoiler alert: growth has occurred.
And because it would not be a celebration without them, Mam Knows Best makes a triumphant return as Phil and Nuala step in to offer their iconic wisdom and sage advice on listeners’ dilemmas.

This week the lads are pondering the benefits of taking on a bit of fixer upper when dating; the return on investment is tenfold, girls! They also discuss PJ’s grooming habits, and Kevin sings “boots, that’s my ego boost” approximately 704 times.
Then for the theme, the boys are covering something near and dear to their hearts: the TV talent show. They reminisce on everything from Cher Lloyd’s iconic Halloween cover of Stay, to Ireland’s best talent show, You’re A Star. They also make some pretty big claims, including that Girls Aloud’s discography is better than the Spice Girls. Fight amongst yourselves in the comments, girlies.

Kevin’s feeling a bit under the weather this week, and PJ’s advice isn’t going down too well. This week, the lads talk all about pretentious London yoga classes, hot instructors and PJ’s recent D.I.Y. successes, before unpacking the perils of cooking with chillies. Just an average day at I’m Grand Mam HQ!
For the theme, inspired slightly by Heated Rivalry, they dive into double lives. Covering everything from Hannah Montana to spy Mata Hari and actor Rock Hudson, they realise that queer people can particularly relate to the idea of having a double life. They then read some listener stories and take one main thing away from them: having a double life would have them wrecked.
