  • Today on the show we talk about the ways we follow our favorite teams from our home countries, the importance of understanding time zones, and what happens when you fall asleep at your kindy job after watching late-night NFL games. If you are that poor sod, you are a local legend. We also discuss the streaming packages for the various big leagues and whether or not they're worth your Won, and whether or not they come with English or Korean language. Most importantly, we discuss ways to get around problems with the "official" way, if you know what I mean.

  • Just in time for Christmas, we've got swag on the mind! What are Korean teams selling, besides uniforms? We'll talk about where to buy it, where NOT to buy it, and what sizes to expect. We'll introduce our favorites and ones we mock (sometimes both at the same time). Finally, we have updates on the K-League 2 for next year, as well as our GAME OF THE WEEK!

  • Today on the show we talk about our experiences watching sports at bars in Korea, even the rare sports bars. We go over the different types of bars, including the stinky old whisky bars, as well as a list of (running) sports bars that someone compiled. We talk about how you can get the staff to change the channel to your game of choice (though it helps them if you know the channel name), differences between bars and chicken hofs, and two actual sports bars Mr. S recently visited. Jokes about violent Canucks fans included for free! Do these sports bars have food for vegetarians? Yes...kinda...yaaayyyy....

  • It's the start of season 2 here at Hwa-Ting Sports! We're taking on the difficult topic of how women's sports are covered in Korea, the leagues that fell between the cracks like the WBAK and the lack of advertising for them. We mention the networks that seem to cover them the most like iTOP Sports and Maxsports, as well as discuss the WK-League and the problem with lack of interest. In our research we even uncovered a secret women's ice hockey league that plays in the cold frostbitten season of ... June. Then we talk about a few famous athlete and Worst Persons: The Update Edition!

Mr. P has a new microphone and we're working out the bugs so the sound might seem a little off today.

  • Today on the show we talk about two sports that took off with Olympic successes but fell off in different ways. We talk about how volleyball went from a school game to national teams to the V-League and how handball's successes didn't translate to the public sphere. We interview a volleyball ref and discuss whether English is helpful for them with a surprising answer. Mr. P introduces the famous handball movie Forever the Moment, and the strange Handball League setup. We also would play volleyball if a skin cream exists that fixes the damage a 100km/h ball does to your face. And finally Worst Persons!
