Tom Shelton has been a teacher with Valley Oaks Charter School for the past 15 years, 10 of which he has had the pleasure of introducing K-12 students to one of his passions, homing pigeons. Emily Lopez is just ending her 7 year tenure as Principal of Columbus Magnet School in Norwalk, CT in order to join the LilySarahGrace Fund as Executive Director Programs, responsible for the development and implementation of professional development in Arts Infused Inquiry Based Learning (AIIBL) for teachers around the nation. Emily is also a wife, mother of two pre-school children, and strong advocate for ingenuitive public education for all children. -

Dyane Smokorowski is the 2013 Kansas STOY and is currently serving as an Instructional Technology Coach in Andover, Kansas. Mrs. Smoke, as her students know her, believes in a project-based, student-centered classroom that helps students build skills in communication, planning, research and cultural awareness.
