  • Welcome back to the Hello Tanya Podcast! This week I'll continue exploring the Seven cardinal rules of life according to my spiritual healer, covering rules four through seven while adding to our mirror work practice with new affirmations.

    • Rule Four: No one is in charge of your happiness except you - taking emotional responsibility and finding joy within
    • Rule Five: Don't compare your life to others or judge them - everyone's journey is different
    • Rule Six: Stop thinking too much - trust that answers will come when you least expect them
    • Rule 7: Smile, you don't own all the problems in the world - gain perspective and give yourself a break
    • Mirror Work Moment

Next week I'll be discussing episode heavy dreams and saying less.

  • Welcome back to the Hello Tanya Podcast! This week I'll be discussing the first three of Seven cardinal rules of life as taught by my spiritual healer, offering insights about making peace with your past, not caring what others think of you, and allowing time to heal wounds.

    • Rule One: Make peace with your past so it won't disrupt your present
    • Understanding how "the past is an illusion" changes our relationship with trauma
    • The concept of "boomerangs" – when past people or patterns return as tests from the universe
    • Rule Two: What other people think of you is not your business
    • Freedom comes from releasing yourself from others' judgments
    • "Cringe is joy without judgment. Being cringe is being free"
    • Rule Three: Time heals most everything
    • Time only heals when we give wounds space to heal
    • The importance of not constantly reopening old wounds
    • Mirror Work Moment

Next week, I'll share the remaining four of the Seven cardinal rules of life.

  • Welcome back to the Hello Tanya Podcast! This week I'll be discussing Vitamin N (No!), having no expectations not taking things personally.

    • Vitamin N is the practice of saying "no" as a complete sentence and never saying yes when your gut says no
    • Recognise that feeling in your stomach when you get an invitation you don't want – that's your body telling you to take Vitamin N
    • Setting boundaries might make others uncomfortable at first, but prioritising your needs is not rude or selfish
    • Don't take things personally!
    • Having no expectations of people, events or opportunities removes pressure and disappointment
    • Do your best and then let go of the outcome – this creates space for the unexpected
    • Mirror Work Moment

Next week I'll introduce three of the Seven cardinal rules of life.

  • Welcome back to the Hello Tanya Podcast! This week I'll be discussing three powerful methods taught by my spiritual healer for protecting your energy from negativity and maintaining emotional boundaries in challenging situations.

    • The Bottle Method involves visualising yourself inside a mirrored bottle that reflects negative energy away while keeping you safe
    • The Bubble Technique requires visualising yourself inside an iridescent bubble that completely shields your energy
    • The Zip is a subtle, physical gesture of running your finger from between your eyebrows to your hairline that creates an instant energy boundary
    • These tools are especially helpful for those who tend toward hypervigilance or sensitivity to others' moods
    • Mirror work Moment- Try incorporating mirror work into existing routines like skincare or brushing your teeth to make it a regular practice

Next week, I'll be discussing "Vitamin N" and not taking things personally.

  • Welcome back to the Hello Tanya Podcast! This week I'll be discussing Crap magnets and luck magnets. The magnet framework teaches us that we attract what we focus on, and how to shift from being a "crap magnet" and expecting bad things, to a "luck magnet" embracing positivity and gratitude.

    • Negative self-talk and constantly focusing on bad things turns us into "crap magnets"
    • "Focus on shit and shit grows" - focusing on negativity only attracts more of it
    • Being a "luck magnet" means expecting good things and programming yourself for positivity
    • Similar to "lucky girl syndrome" - believing good things will happen helps manifest them
    • When bad things happen, say "thank you for the lesson" and focus on what you learned
    • Mirror work Moment

Join me next week when I'll be talking about bottles, bubbles and zips!

  • Welcome back to the Hello Tanya Podcast! This week I'll be discussing inner child work and learning to be your own best friend. Inner child work can be emotionally challenging but profoundly healing.

    • Find photos of yourself as a child, teenager, and young adult to speak to with love and compassion
    • Write a letter to your younger self acknowledging difficult experiences and qualities worth celebrating, and burning the letter as a symbolic release of past pain and patterns
    • Learning to be your own best friend instead of seeking validation from others
    • Reframing alone time as an opportunity to enjoy your own company rather than something to fear
    • Mirror Work Moment

  • Welcome back to the Hello Tanya Podcast! This week, we explore the concept of "The Roommate" – the negative self-talk or automatic negative thoughts that run in the background, and how to recognise and silence this critical inner voice.

    • Reframing negative self-talk as a "roommate" – a separate entity from your true self – makes it easier to identify and address
    • Understanding the difference between your roommate (fear-based thoughts) and your intuition (heart/gut-based wisdom)
    • Visualisation exercise: mentally put your "roommate" in a box, lock it, and flush the key down a real toilet
    • Mirror work Moment

Next week I'll be talking about inner child work and being kinder to yourself.

  • Welcome to the first episode of the Hello Tanya podcast, with Tanya Barlow! I'll be sharing my journey with a spiritual healer and the transformative tools I've learned along the way. As a former skeptic who's experienced people-pleasing, boundary issues and intense self-loathing, I'm opening up about how spiritual healing helped me in ways traditional therapy couldn't.

    • This podcast offers an insight to spirituality without preaching and non-toxic positivity from a semi-skeptic's perspective
    • My first healing session revealed my grandmother as my spirit guide and challenged my understanding of self-love
    • Self-love isn't conditional or a reward- it's a challenging daily practice requiring consistent effort
    • Two powerful exercises: self-hugging and mirror work (looking at yourself with compassion and speaking affirmations)
    • Each episode will end with a Mirror Work Moment, where we practice together

Join me next week as I discuss "The Roommate" and how to deal with automatic negative thoughts.
