1 in 2 people don’t take their treatment. Medicine only helps if you take them. However, there is more to adherence than medicine.
As we continue with our conversations on Health as We Know It, in our third episode our host, Divyam Tripathi, talks about the common yet not completely understood practice of adherence in our treatment journeys.
Talking to us about his experience is Dr Mangesh Tiwaskar, Consultant Physician & Diabetologist. He breaks down the process of adherence to a behavioral change – from doctor visits, monitoring your health, to lifestyle changes, and medication.
Joining him is Dr Ashwini Pawar, Director Medical Affairs, Abbott who brings in the larger perspective on why this is such a critical issue that all healthcare practitioners hope to crack, that also has huge societal impact. Hear from her about how organizations and healthcare practitioners are coming together to solve for adherence through behavioral science and innovative medical technology.
