In this episode Lisa and Colleen discuss both the appendix section titled Discussion on Opposition, and the second half of the chapter Retain a Remission of Your Sins. They begin with a deeper dive into the principle opposition using the appendix, discussing how without opposition ,ultimately we nor God could even exist. Then they return to the chapter to discuss the need for continual repentance and progression for our entire lives, growing in our ability to receive revelation, the blessing of continued humbling experiences, and once again, how Christ's mercy and grace, are the only solution to every challenge and trial we face.

They share personal insights and experiences relating to step ten, including the truth that in order to retain the change of heart we have experienced, we must continue to apply and live by the principles that we have learned in the previous nine steps. Step ten is the first of the three maintenance steps. This step helps us to understand that rather than arriving at perfection, we will continue learning and progressing throughout our entire mortal life. And rather than this truth discouraging us, we can embrace it with gratitude and excitement. God has so much more in store for each of us!
