  • On this episode of "The SIAC Sit Down", Sly The Sports Guy and Jamie Walker welcome new **Savannah State head football coach Thomas Howard** for a wide-ranging conversation about his coaching journey, his return to the SIAC and his vision for the Tigers.

    Howard reflects on his path from Morehouse to Allen, North Carolina A&T, South Carolina State, Alabama A&M, Fayetteville State and now Savannah State. He breaks down what made Savannah State the right fit, how he is attacking recruiting in Georgia and the surrounding region, and why community support will be central to rebuilding the program.

    The conversation also gets into the realities of becoming a first-time head coach, the importance of player relationships, building a winning mentality, spring football plans and the challenge of opening the season against major SIAC competition. Howard makes it clear: Savannah State wants to be fast, physical, disciplined and ready to make people “come down to Savannah and see about us.”
