Get your to-be-read and "shows to watch" lists ready as we talk about the spooky/house related books I read in January and February. We'll discuss books about everything from abandoned houses in Detroit, what it's like to work in a public library, forensic science across the world, and old house restoration.
This is part one of an ongoing monthly series.

We're talking about stigmatized properties: houses where a murder or crime has occurred. This is the ultimate introduction to all you need to know about these properties, including what needs to be done after the event has happened, the rebound rate for the property, what states require you to disclose a death from murder or suicide, and more! We also cover the work of Randall Bell, the country's top appraiser of stigmatized properties and the notable cases he's worked in his career.
