🌟 The Power of Resilience 🌟
For Mental Health Awareness Month, let’s talk about the power of resilience. Even though you’re struggling, trying different things, getting outside, walking, doing everything you can – sometimes it still feels tough. But that’s where resilience steps in.
Remember those times when you struggled before? You overcame them. You found ways to be strong and resilient. You found your truth. You are strong, and you have been through challenges before, and you will overcome them again.

Standing on the cliffs in Santa Monica, overlooking the beach, I’m reminded of the power of finding your happy place. 🌊✨ Whether it’s a spot with a beautiful view, a quiet corner in your home, or a favorite park bench, having a place that fills you with good energy is essential. It’s where you feel alive, connected, and can find a few moments of relief when anxiety or struggles creep in. Take a breath, find your happy place, and let it bring you peace. 💖 #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth

"Surrounding yourself with positive people is crucial for mental wellness. Identify the friends and family who truly support you, and prioritize spending time with them. Also learn to set boundaries with toxic relationships through honest communication. Healthy bonds nurture healthy minds!" * After all the self work I do and you do, don’t you think that positive relationships are on the top of your list. As a mostly single person, I crave these relationships. I have been blessed to have caring siblings with great kids so I get surrounded by loving nephews and nieces and great parents. I think building healthy and open relationships can be really hard for people that experience mental health struggles. I know I get into my head and close off instead of reaching outs. Remember, if you need help seek it form family, friends, your doctors or emergency lines.
-
"Looking to find more inner peace and clarity? Explore spiritual practices taught by Swami Nityananda like mantras and energy work. Repeating meaningful words and visualizing your energy can calm the mind and provide a sense of groundedness." -
"Travel is an amazing form of self-care. Even a short road trip can be rejuvenating! The new sights, sounds and experiences help you live in the moment and de-stress. So plan that weekend getaway - your mental health will thank you!" *One time I had a couple of days off and didn’t really have a plan, so I booked a hotel 60 miles away with credit card miles near the beach. I didn’t do much but hit golf balls, walked along the beach and had a nice solo dinner. Company might have enhancers the experience but getting away even for a short time gave me some mental health relief. -
Need an anxiety-busting boost? Lace up your shoes and get moving! Al explains how running allows you to relieve stress through meditation in motion. Build strength, endurance and peace of mind by starting with a simple daily walk or jog." *Do you find this almost impossible to do? I know I do. In the past I could push through a morning yoga session or walk/jog but it has been a struggle for the past few years. The good news, movement in the morning or anytime makes a difference for me! It gives me a chance to feel just a bit better. It works for a 10’minute walk or an intense hike. It is not hard, really.
-
Gratitude "Need a quick mental health boost? Try gratitude! Taking just a few moments to appreciate the good things in your life can lift your mood and provide perspective. Make a habit of writing down 3-5 things you're grateful for each morning to start your day with an attitude of gratitude." * For me when my mental health is really challenged on a particular day, starting with saying gratitude for those closest to you for a minute, helps give me a moment of peace or even a smile. From there give gratitude to your friends and colleagues, to the communities around you and even to the planet. It really helps.
