He uncovers clues: a voicemail from a creepy new employer, and a set of tantalizing photos on his phone, but why is there a live octopus in his toilet? More is revealed with another visit from The Laughers that Fall, who share information about the dastardly mastermind, the ultimate fiend and nemesis: Stinko Fist, who has been a very busy boy.

In Episode 3, Gus spends more of his advance on debauchery and sin before following a new lead to The Unusual Inventions Convention: and enormous event, bustling with eccentric personalities and mad creations. Gus eventually arrives at an impressive booth manned by Dr. Jonas Stinkwolf, who is doing groundbreaking work in the field of organic content replication (but don’t call it cloning!). In fact, Stinkwolf is just about to perform a live demonstration.

In Episode 2, Gus scopes out The Chubby Quiche, the café where Dops Fabulon recently saw Bethany Muerte. There, Gus encounters a host extraordinary characters, including his waiter, who outlines a very peculiar menu. Gus then speaks to a man who knew Bethany years ago while attending a school for aspiring spies. But what does the Macarena have to do with it all?

In Episode 1, Gus takes on a new case. The obnoxious Dops Fabulon hires him to find femme fatale, Bethany Muerte, who has suspiciously reappeared in town. And what’s with the warped doppelgängers that have also begun showing up? Gus gets right to work after indulging just a handful of his many vices for a day or two. His first item of business is checking in with his number one informer, Pedro Beans. And so begins a manic, surreal adventure.
