On this episode of the Graphic Content Podcast, Jim reviews "Doctor Star and the Kingdom of Lost Tomorrows" #1 & #2 by Jeff Lemire and Max Fiumara from Dark Horse Comics. So how does this series work spinning off of the first two volumes of the cult hit "Black Hammer" series Lemire did with artist Dean Ormston? How much inspiration did the creators take from James Robinson's "Starman" series from the 1990's? And can Jim sound coherent-enough to give an actual review of a comic after 1am? All this and more can be found in this episode of the GRAPHIC CONTENT PODCAST!

In this episode for our "SEASON THREE MARATHON WEEK" (as I'm starting to call it) Jim tries to make-up for accidently deleting half of his Krypton TV Pilot review w/ Manny Gomez by reviewing "ISOLA #1" from Image Comics. Spoiler: it's about the happiest accident he's had in quite some time. Find out why in this episode!
-
"So where's that episode of the Krypton pilot you promised?" you might be asking. Well... uh... there was a tiny little accident that made it unlistenable for which I am truly sorry. You'd think that someone who's been podcasting on & off for the better part of 4 years would know how to save his files properly before editing, wouldn't you? If you'd like to hear the sordid tale, listen to this short mea culpa, and then afterwards I'll put-forth the plan going-forward for the rest of this week.
Thanks for being a listener of the show, and know that I am really looking foward to bringing a lot more comics-related content to you in Season Three of the Graphic Content Podcast!
Love,
Jimmers

Here it is, our first "Capsule Review" of a comic now available. Today Jim reviews Infidel #1 from Image Comics written by Pornsak Pinchetshote with art by Aaron Campbell and Jose Villarubia with letters and design by Jeff Powell. So what did he think of it: should you BUY IT NOW, WAIT FOR THE TRADE, or LEAVE IT ON THE RACK? Find out as Jim tries a genre he's not normally a fan of... Horror Comics!
-
On this special "Zero Issue" of Graphic Content Jim lays out what's been going-on with the short hiatus the show has been on, our new upload schedule, as well as what kind of "Graphic Content" is going to be discussed on the show in the future. He also teases his recent trip to SoCal, or should it be "SchmoeCal" as he and the Mrs. attended the first ever LIVE MOVIE TRIVIA SCHMOEDOWN event! That in and of itself will be an episode which will drop later this week, so stay tuned for that!
In the meantime, please don't hesitate to reach-out to us on social media to connect with the show to tell us what's got you occupied from a pop culture perspective. THE GRAPHIC CONTENT PODCAST IS BACK WITH ITS FIRST SHOW FOR 2018! (Sorry for the ALL CAPS, I was somewhat excited) And we thought what better way to kick the year in pop culture off was with our review of the newest entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Black Panther! While Adam was away on assignment, Jim was joined by returning guest Manny Gomez of One-Eyed Art as well as Jim's former partner-in-podcasting, rising voiceover talent Damon Alums marks his debut in the high-tech Graphic Content Studio! We hope you join us for this spoiler-filled conversation between three old friends about what is arguably one of the most anticipated movies of the decade!
-
Jim and Adam reunite for their last podcast of 2017, and they brought some friends into the hi-tech Graphic Content Studio to help them review what is arguably the biggest blockbuster movie of the year -- Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi! Returning guests Johnathan Wright, Rachael Catchcart, and firstt-timer Gary Catchcart (Rachel's hubby) dive deep into the film exploring many of the scenes they loved, liked, and thought, "eh... that really could've been better." We had a lot of fun putting this KING SIZED episode together, and we hope you our listeners enjoy the outcome! Plus we have a little bit of news of our sister project, Holonet HQ saved for the end of the show.
As always, we like to mention that the show is on all the socials. -
In this episode, Adam is joined by returning guest host TC Morgan as the pair talk about movies they'd like to see re-made, and who they would like to see in them. Without spoiling it too much one's a pulp fiction re-imagining, a comic book anti-hero re-boot, and a complete mulligan for a beloved fantasy property. We hope you enjoy the conversation.
And don't forget, you can find the Graphic Content Podcast on pretty much all of the socials. We can be found on Twitter @graphicpodcast, on Instagram @graphiccontent.podcast, and make sure to "Like" us on our official FB page which can be found at http://www.facebook.com/graphicpodcast. We're back from the Thanksgiving break, well... Adam is back while Jim is hard at work at the day job. Anyhoo, Adam is back with returning special guest TC Morgan to talk about getting ready for the new Punisher series now available for streaming on Netflix. Yes, we know that came out a couple of weeks ago, but not everyone is johnny-on-the-spot with streaming a new show right away, be nice! Plus, this could serve as a great primer for folks who might be interested in getting into the comics featuring Frank Castle and his relentless one-man war on crime!
As always, the Graphic Content Podcast is all over the socials! You can find us on Twitter @graphicpodcast, on Instagram @graphiccontent.podcast, and our official show page where we share news from industry sites from across the internet as well as our little show that could at http://facebook.com/graphicpodcast. We hope to hear from you, and even moreso, hope you go to your favorite local comic shop and get some great comics to read and to gift your friends and family over these holidays.
So until next time, we'll see ya in the funny papers!

In this special reaction podcast, Jim and Adam talk about the promotion of C.B. Cebulski to EiC at Marvel, as well as the basically-unannounced exit of his predecessor Axel Alonzo. Oh, and we talk about what a colossal piece of s*** that Eddie Berganza has been to fellow editors and creators alike during his tenure at DC as well. We hope you take a listen...

In this episode of the Graphic Content Podcast, Adam interviews local creator Justin Prime about the second issue of "Skulldier Stories", now available for backing on Kickstarter from Echo. Oh, and the two talk a lot about other comics from around the industry as well, so we think you'll like the show. We just ask that you forgive the lousy sound quality on this one, there was a lot of interference & local noise thoughout the conversation, not enough to drown-out what the guys talk about, but it's defiitely there.

In this GRAPHIC CONTENT SPECIAL REPORT, our very own Adam Messinger (Twitter @AdamSMessinger) breaks down his thoughts on the seismic event that took place in the comics industry yesterday: Brian Michael Bendis signing an exclusive, multi-year deal with DC Comics! You might ask, "why is a writer jumping ship to another company such a big deal?" Well Adam breaks the news down and gives you his blunt opinions on how this is potentially great for DC, and how it could be potentially problematic to Marvel.

In this second episode recorded while streaming LIVE on Facebook, Jim and Adam discuss Blade Runner 2049, Marvel Legacy #1, and omse of their favorite works by comic-writing mastermind JASON AARON. Also, how the hell could Adam have fallen asleep while watching the brilliant, original Blade Runner? It's baffling we tell you!

We're found on Twitter @graphicpodcast, on Instagram @graphiccontent.podcast, and our official page can be found at http://facebook.com/graphicpodcast where we post news and notes about us, as well as the comic industry as a whole. In episode THIRTY-FIVE of the Graphic Content Podcast, Adam flies solo for the first time. In this monologue he reviews DC Comics' latest event, "METAL", as well as some of the other books he's been reading lately. He has some great, well thought-out opinions on a lot of these books, even if you might not agree with them. Now... if we can just get him to remember our email address...
Speaking of which, Graphic Content is on all the socials, so logon and say "HI"! ...aaaaaand we're back! This week being an ever-so slightly-edited recording of the Facebook Live video where our listeners were treated (?) to what Jim & Adam look like IRL. No, it wasn't *THAT* bad, at least we didn't think so. Anyhoo, now you can listen-in to the show where Jim talked about the hunt for comics he waxed nostalgic about a few episodes as well as his surprise that he and Adam both liked Zack Snyder's film "Man of Steel". Plus, you won't be distracted by how Jim misspelled the word "Graphic" as he did on the whiteboard during the podcast.
We hope you like the show. Let us know what your thoughts were on it by hitting us up on the socials starting with us on Twitter @graphicpodcast, on Instagram @graphiccontent.podcast, and at our Official FB Page which can be found at http://facebook.com/graphicpodcast. You can also send longer-form emails to us at [email protected]. And remember that if you send us a note we'll send you a digital download code for one of Adam's indie comics that he's put out. And with that out of the way I say go read a comic! And when you're done with that, listen... to Graphic Content!
-
In this special solo episode of the Graphic Content Podcast, Jim gives his (admittedly rambling) review of the #1 movie in America, Kingsman: The Golden Circle! What did he like about it? What did he think could have been done better? And most-importantly: how many "Golden Circles" out of five will he give the latest Matthew Vaughn joint? Listen in to find out!
-
Join Jim as he is joined by returning guest Robert Lucchesi, and the newest member of the Graphic Content family William Hoffknecht! The talk about what's good about the show, what could've been better, and in the end suggest as a rating whether you should subscribe to CBS All Access now, right now! Or, should you just wait until it's eventual release on Blu-Ray. We hope, in either case, that you join us in breaking down "Star Trek Discovery" here, on the Graphic Content Podcast...
