CW: Physical, emotional and financial abuse, sexual assault and rape culture.
Some people should never be given a badge of authority. When Juanita got married, everyone in her life kept saying she was with such a good man. After all he was a school prefect who became a police officer. But what went on behind doors was a very different story.
This is a harrowing story of the abuse that can happen when people are put in positions of authority and abuse that power. It is also a story of survival and not giving up even when all seems lost.

Dianne is a 68-year-old transgender woman who is having one more shot at love.
Except when you identify as a lesbian and live in remote country New South Wales, finding a partner can be extremely tricky!
NB: This interview was conducted over the phone with limited reception.
Dianne started her public journey for love on ABC TV’s Better Date Than Never (by the same producers of the wildly popular Love on the Spectrum). It’s now back for season 2, Dianne is throwing her hat in the dating ring once more.
She talks to Tom and Liz about what she’s learnt dating as her true self later in life.
Season 2 of Better Date Than Never launches on Tuesday, 20 February at 8:30pm on ABC and ABC iView.

Michelle married Jared. Michelle divorced Jared. Then Carly married Jared.
And somehow the two women found an unlikely friendship that Liz thinks is REALLY WEIRD (but that’s probably because she’s projecting).
