Today we talk about a passage of scripture in the Gospel of Mark, (Mark 7: 1-8, 14-15, 21-23) that is so relevant today in our walk with God and also the values we hold. It is introspective, as well as, something relevant to all of us in the world we find ourselves today.

Today we talk about how Jesus is always compassionate, patient, and supportive on our worst days just as he is on our best days. Peter, the apostle, shows us today how he can royally screw up time after time, and how Jesus demonstrates for us how he will treat us when we are like Peter! There is HOPE for all of us!

Today we explore how to show up in the world in order to get our needs met without resorting to aggression. I use the Beatitudes and focus on the true meaning of meekness. You may be surprised, maybe not, that what you learned in church is not exactly what Jesus intended. I know, shocker!

In this episode I talk about how our rights for inclusion, diversity, authenticity and basic decency are under attack and we, as a community, have to be brave enough to stand up in our power and make a choice. I give some facts on the 180 day playbook that we have heard about that is hitting the news channels and social media. Maya Angelou is credited with saying, "When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time". We need to pay attention.
