Gaming on the Brain is an independent channel for the gamers, by gamers. Your hosts are Glenn, Mark, and Jamie, and we love video games, just like you. We started this channel as it provided an opportunity to get together more often and play the games we love and record our adventures in doing so. It also provides a further opportunity to play some games we have never had the pleasure (or displeasure) of playing and in doing so maybe even introduce our audience to games they didn’t realise existed.
We plan on sticking around for a while and we are always looking at ways to evolve and keep the channel fresh in order to keep our existing audience hungry for more, and to pull in a larger audience in the process. Having said that, we are always open to ideas on how better to engage with our viewers so if you have any suggestions please reach out to us in the comments section of our videos or on our occasional community threads.
If you enjoy the content we provide, please share with your friends and family and help us grow this channel so we can bring you even more great content. For now we will be here, giving it our best shot and feeling thankful for the opportunity and for every single view, like and new subscriber. 🕹️🧠❤️
FYI, some of our favourite games include; Golden Axe; Streets of Rage; Double Dragon; Halo; Twisted Metal; Gears of War; Pit Fighter; Resident Evil, and many many more.

In this episode we revert back to our teenage persona's and revisit that age old battle from the playground of the mid 90's. Sega was better at this, Nintendo had this game that Sega couldn't beat, Sony had final fantasy 7...... Expect less acne and hormones but the same old debate.

Welcome back to another episode of the Gaming on the Brain podcast. This week we run and gun our way, stepping on the odd hoe, as we provide our unique take on the Konami classic Sunset Riders. Don’t forget to follow the channel and leave us a review, and as always, thank you for tuning in to our channel. 🕹️🧠❤️

Join us once again as we finally get round to taking revenge against Death Adders revenge in Golden Axe The Revenge of Death Adder. There a joke in there somewhere but it’s been a long day and I’m too tired to think of one. Nevertheless, grab a cold one, sit back and enjoy the latest episode celebrating one of the greatest, if not the best, Arcade beat em up of all time. 🕹️🧠❤️
-
Super Double Dragon vs Return of Double Dragon. 2 games that should be technically the same, albeit released in different territories. Evidently that is not so as there are a wealth of differences between these 2 games. Join us on this weeks podcast as we discuss what we like about this entry into the Double Dragon series, and breakdown the many changes between the American release of Super Double Dragon, and the Japanese release of Return of Double Dragon. Full playthroughs of both games are available over on our YouTube channel if you prefer to listen to the game audio and not us old timers whittering on. If you enjoy the episode, please check out our back catalogue. Leave us a review, and don’t forget to follow the channel. 🕹️🧠❤️

Originally destined to be Streets of Rage 4, and set to be released exclusively on the Sega Saturn, Fighting Force took a turn during development and ended up releasing as an original IP. Watch or listen to this weeks episode to discover the story behind this admirable attempt at a 3d beat em up, a genre that grew immensely in popularity during the 80s and 90s and met with great difficulty taking the transition from 2d to 3d. Please leave a review and don’t Forget to follow if you enjoy the show.

Yes, only 60%! We slipped off course a few times and went down some rabbit holes on this one but that's what happens when you throw a special guest host and alcohol into the cauldron. This week we welcome Gary Head to the panel as we talk about the Mortal Kombat games and flex our knowledge on the history of the first 3 games in the franchise. Don't forget to like or subscribe and please drop us a comment. Let us know if you want us to bring Gary back on some future episodes. We certainly would like to. If your listening on Spotify then please leave us a review as this apparently helps massively with the algorithm. Thanks and please enjoy.

The boys are back this week with another Golden Axe game. This time the discussion is all about the less celebrated Mega Drive sequel Golden Axe II. Drop by and join us for a shorter than usual episode where Glenn is not only fighting Death Bringer and his minions but also a nasty case of man-flu. Don’t forget to like/subscribe and also feel free to add us as a friend on Facebook at Gaming onthe Brain.

Well, they made it to episode 10. The GOTB podcast is officially throwing its non-existent hat in the ring and copying all of the other gaming channels out there with our very own top 10 favourite 8-bit retro games countdown. However, 2 hosts mean Glenn and Mark have their own 10 games each…. That’s double the fun and easily makes our episode twice as good as the rest, unless were up against a top 20. Did your favourites make either list? Drop us some feedback and let us know what your top 10 8-bit games are. Hope you enjoy the episode and don’t forget to subscribe to the channel, and share with your friends. -
Glenn finally got round to watching the TV adaptation of Sony Entertainment’s Twisted Metal TV series so, as a break from the norm, instead of a game, this week we are giving you our take on how the TV series faired and comparing it with the games that it is adapted from. Warning, there will be spoilers, but you have had a while to get it watched so you can only blame yourself if we ruin it for you. Don’t forget to add us on facebook to keep up with the latest GOTB news.

In this week’s episode we cover one of the lesser know Konami beat-em up’s of the 90’s. Built on the Mystic warrior hardware, Violent Storm, follows the basic template for the beat em up that was etched in stone with Capcom’s Final Fight. Does the additional humour, outstanding sound design, and excellent use of colour make this one stand out from the crowd? Listen to the podcast to find out. Don’t forget to add us on facebook and X to keep up the date with all the GOTB news.
