This week on the show we are joined by Danny Rae and Zoe Hague. Their first taste of HYROX was watching the World Championships in Manchester last year. Since that point they have been hooked, notching up an impressive number of races and podiums.
We discuss their journey and the races they have done. We also consider how important it is to experience HYROX in whatever way works best for you. This includes how you find time for your training and how you plan your race.

This week on the show we have Antje and Rob. In 2020, Antje was recommended by her doctor to take up Triathlon. As part of her training Antje met Rob who runs Crossfit Mallorca. This led to her finding HYROX and within 18 months she found herself as one of the Sports Elite racers.
Listen as we chart her journey and also her thoughts on missing Cologne to take on Anaheim this weekend. We also consider some of the big questions in the sport such as the transition from Crossfit to HYROX and why, so far, few Crossfit athletes have dominated HYROX like some expected them to. This week Zara is on the show, Zara’s first race was a doubles event in London 2022. A year later Zara was lining up with the HYROX Elite 15 in Chicago for the first Major.
In this episode we cover Zara’s journey from the beginning through the majors up to her recent triumph in Cologne to secure a Worlds Elite 15 place in Cologne. Joda Quigley competed in the first ever HYROX in the U.K. alongside husband John. Since those early days Joda launched GIRLCODE BOX which has been helping athletes discover and compete in HYROX for over two years.

Sarah Holden returns to the show to discuss the ups and downs of the last 12 months. After struggling with a calf injury late last season, Sarah’s health took a turn for the worse in October 2023 when she discovered she had a pulmonary embolism (PE). PE is a serious and sometimes fatal health condition.
We discuss with Sarah the circumstances leading up to discovering the PE, her recovery and her return to racing at HYROX Glasgow. We also chat about what’s next for her and how she got on with the Crossfit Open.

Whilst existing in other sports, nationwide communities are still a new concept in Fitness Racing. ROX QUEENS is a support network and movement, dedicated to fostering connections and empowering female athletes to challenge themselves both mentally and physically from first timers to some of the Elites.
We learn about their beginnings as online community and how they have grown in such a short period of time. We chat about their recent expansion into organising local fitness event and socials across the UK. Finally, we find out about their future plans including the fact that they are going Global with an expansion into Australia ahead of the upcoming HYROX season this summer.

Harry was born with Cerebral Palsy affecting all four limbs, however that has stopped him pushing his limits and competing in sports. Alongside his coach Jay, he recently successfully completed HYROX Manchester.

This week we are crossing the pond to chat with Sofia and Britt about running in Washington DC. Both originally come from a background in OCR and met on Discord during the pandemic. Since 2022, Sofia has concentrated on ultra runs and Britt has moved into the weightlifting space. However, they were interested to see what HYROX is all about so took part as a Women’s Doubles team at the recent Washington event.
