"A post COVID-19 Europe" is the topic for S1.E5 of the live stream series "FEMYSOnow".
This session aims to provide a platform for discussion around the destabilizing effects of COVID-19 in Europe and what that means for our economic, political and wider societal systems. This pandemic has caused huge amounts of change within people’s lives, the question is will some of these changes force a reset in people’s mentalities or will we see behaviours such as the rise in nationalism as we did after the financial crash of the last 2000s. The panel will explore many of these issues with a look into what another europe could look like if we advocated for change in the short term whilst the region is recovering from the outbreak for the long term benefit of society as a whole.

This session wants to create a space where successful muslim activists are able to provide insights into their journeys through activism as a person of faith. The webinar will focus on highlighting key lessons young people interested in this area of work can learn from, whilst discussing the many challenges faced by those in positions of leadership. This session aims to explore the blessing of Ramadan and its arrival - whilst also providing insight into how one can remain productive in a dunya and akhirah sense during this time. The young people on this call will either be studying for exams or working during this time and amidst the anxiety many will be feeling due to the COVID-19 Pandemic this call aims to provide some level of relief and tips into what one can do to have the best possible results both spiritually and physically in giving back to one's community.
