Not only did he find it unconvincing, he concluded it played a decisive role in the rise of secularism. We also discuss issues of political theology, Christendom, and the rise of liberalism (both "left" and "right" wing varieties).

Instead, He told them to march around it with the Ark of the Covenant seven times, and on the seventh the walls would fall. We will now "march" in prayer for seven days with the New Ark of the Covenant, Our Lady, through the Rosary. We pray in hope that on the seventh day, a day especially devoted to Our Lady (Saturday), extraordinary graces of conversion will be given to those we are praying for.
Fifth, EVANGELISM AND APOLOGETICS = LOVE + ARGUMENTS + PRAYER + PENANCE. Ultimately it is God who reveals Himself to a soul, and empowers them to say "yes" to Him by His grace. He chooses to use us, but He does not have to. We must remember that as we evangelize and defend the Faith, our arguments will be fruitless unless informed by love (charity), and reinforced by prayer and penance.
Sixth, RETURNING GOOD FOR EVIL. “Do not return evil for evil, or reviling for reviling; but on the contrary bless, for to this you have been called, that you may obtain a blessing" (1 Pet. 3:9).

CULTIVATING SAINTS, SAGES, AND STATESMEN THROUGH THE GREAT TRADITION
This is our first episode dealing with the so-called "Apocrypha," the 7 books of the Bible rejected by protestants, but accepted by the Catholic Church.
In this episode, I recount reading the words of the Book of Wisdom—a book I had always considered part of the "Apocrypha" as a protestant—and being astounded by how accurately Wisdom 2 predicted the crucifixion of Our Lord and its circumstances. To me, it was as clear, if not clearer, than the prophecy found in Isaiah 53, which I considered to be one of the proofs of the divine origin of the Old Testament.
This prophecy helped open the door for me to consider the possibility I had been wrong about the "Apocrypha," and that it actually was part of the Bible, as the Catholic Church taught.

THIS WEEK of the Great Rosary Campaign we are praying for the former "mega-church" pastor Francis Chan, a well-known protestant leader who, the last several years, seems to be getting much closer to the Catholic Church thanks to the Eucharist.
The SUGGESTED PENANCE this week is attending a Holy Hour (Adoration) before the Blessed Sacrament, and requesting the intercession of St. Francis de Sales, who was a great 16th century Saint who helped many protestants come back to the Church. May his intercession help Francis Chan do the same! Countless Saints and Popes have told us that the Rosary is incredibly powerful for three things in particular: 1. Keeping the Faith 2. Moral renovation 3. Conversions of non-Catholics The Great Rosary Campaign is also based on several biblical themes and principles.

Fourth, GOING INTO BATTLE WITH THE ARK. When the ancient Israelites came to Jericho, God didn't tell them to besiege the city. Instead, He told them to march around it with the Ark of the Covenant seven times, and on the seventh the walls would fall. We will now "march" in prayer for seven days with the New Ark of the Covenant, Our Lady, through the Rosary. We pray in hope that on the seventh day, a day especially devoted to Our Lady (Saturday), extraordinary graces of conversion will be given to those we are praying for.
Fifth, EVANGELISM AND APOLOGETICS = LOVE + ARGUMENTS + PRAYER + PENANCE. Ultimately it is God who reveals Himself to a soul, and empowers them to say "yes" to Him by His grace. He chooses to use us, but He does not have to. The term "foolishness of God" comes from St. Paul, who said "the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men" (1 Cor. 1:25). He was speaking about the Passion of Our Lord, which the Church teaches is a type of the end times Passion of the Church (see the Catholic Catechism, paragraphs 675-77).
In this first introductory installment, we'll discuss the Antichrist Agenda as outlined by the famous 19th century protestant convert, St. John Henry Newman, and how most Christians have already accepted many parts of it.
