'Because We're Family' is the feature directorial debut from Christine Nyhart Kaplan & Angela Stern, which he Stern also wrote, along with the play 'Mamas Eggnog' which the film is based upon. Dysfunctional siblings Dallas (Josh Drennen), Kourtney (Christine Nyhart Kaplan) and Belinda (Angela Stern) who reunite to witness the cremation of their mother.
Back under one roof for the holidays, all decency is lost when a feud over her ashes tests the boundaries of family, and a Christmas Eve tradition becomes difficult to digest. Add Kourtney’s jovial husband, Peter (C. Thomas Howell) and one peculiar undertaker (Tyler Meridith) to the mix, set to the backdrop of the holidays, and nothing less than chaos ensues.

We're slightly off pest today, as it's all about the literary legend, Franz Kafka! Did you know that 6th June 2024 was the 100 year anniversary of his death (3rd July 1883 — 3rd June 1924)? I didn't, but smarter people did, and so we have a new limited TV series about the man's life.

'Story Of The Sun' is written & directed by Phillip Gladkov, and narrated by Tsukuru Fors. This is the first stop-motion animation in the world made entirely from birch bark. It shares the tale of how the first humans discovered fire, changing the world forever. It’s especially meaningful that this film is made from birch bark—a material used for starting fires since the Neanderthal era.
It's a movie for both children and adults, and filled with humor, valuable lessons, and emotionally touching moments.

'Nyctophobia' is the feature directorial debut from Seayoon Jeong, which he also wrote. Liz (Olivia Clari Nice) struggles with nyctophobia (fear of the dark), a form of anxiety disorder that causes sleeping issues. She desperately tries to fall asleep by entering her “inner world,” where she can access happy childhood memories. However, she becomes trapped in a time loop in her lucid dreams and encounters a nightmare, Dark Figure (Christopher Gilbert), who appears in various clown forms. The loop pushes her deeper into her dreams, forcing her to reach her subconscious, where she meets her worst nightmare: the original form of Dark Figure.
