🏕️Thanks for tuning in to our 3rd F13 Special!💥 To close out Season 2 we ask questions like "Is part 7 the best of the rest?", "How iconic is the sleeping bag kill?" & "Who wins in a 3-way battle between Carrie, Tina and Charlie from Firestarter?" We think the story, cast and kills make for a very good late-franchise sequel, even with all those damn MPAA cuts! See you back in Feb 25' for season 3!

Mini bonus-ep time! We chat Patrick O'Neal & Mary Woronov in this early 70s low-budget, late night holiday chiller. Some stuff works for us and some doesn't. It is pretty neat to see some similarities between this flick & other slashers that came after it! Hope you enjoy!

Welcome back for our penultimate episode of Season 2! This week we return to the British-horror masterworks of Terence Fisher. Blending Hammer's gothic vamp trademarks w/some bold character decisions, 1960's Brides leaves its (bite) mark & inspires additional 60s & 70s vampire flicks that feature a collection of bloody baddies in place of a primary antagonist.

Here's another Black Friday bonus ep! Ghostly Puppers & dad finally get around to discussing found footage, painting on walls, colorful poisons, creepy kids, when true crime goes supernatural, Temu, different boogeymen, & more.

This 2013 horror-adjacent thriller is a deeply unsettling & haunting experience. This Thanksgiving-set film turns a cozy holiday into an abduction nightmare. Eerie true detective work combines w/prowler & home invasion elements, taking the story and characters down to the darkest of depths. Prisoners matches films like Seven in dread, Zodiac in manhunting, Sinister in creepiness and Fallen for suspense. We think Prisoners is a perfect blend of tension, horror, and psychological depth.

Happy Turkey Week everyone! For our 2nd annual Black Friday special we return to Romero land to chat the beloved legend's third (but not final) entry. Love is the answer. Gobble gobble!

The DFM crew continues its 2nd Annual Hungry for the Holidays with this 1979 spook-house classic featuring an A-list cast. All Warren/Lutz untruths & truths aside, this movie weaves excellent performances, storytelling, setting, and music into a chilling & chilly Satanic-November tale that makes even the strongest characters of the cloth keel over. Join us and listen in to our love of Brolin, Kidder, Steiger, Harry the dog, in-tune women, 70s opening titles, uncomfortable axe throwing moments and more!

Join our DFM crew as we delve into Damien Leone's first full length Art the Clown flick - a film that Jake & AJ don't particularly care for. Well, at least your hosts Carrie & Case acknowledge its status as a quintessential low-budget, mean-spirited & gleefully fun grindhouse slasher (if that’s your thing!) In this ep’s Creataburs segment, Carrie & Case explore the female characters across Leone's work not named Sienna Shaw, tracing their roles from his early short films to his anthology.

Jake the Midnight Traveler can’t contain his disdain for Anna Paquin spoilers, while Sinister Sister AJ navigates the murky waters of spiritual ineptitude like a lost soul in a corn maze. Meanwhile, Carrie has mysteriously gone missing - did she fall victim to a Sam-inspired prank or is she just avoiding creepy vamp cosplayers?

Happy Friday the 13th! This week we’re chattin’ the last part of the Tommy Jarvis Paramount trilogy. Does this film hold the crown as the best sequel after The Final Chapter?
