Ellie Masera is here with us for this episode, and for those of you who don't know - Ellie and I both played collegiately for Stony Brook but our playing careers unfortunately never overlapped while we were there. Ellie is a star emerging at the highest levels currently - playing for Athletes Unlimited professionally and making a mark in her international career with Team USA on the Sixes and field training team rosters. If you've ever watched Ellie play, you know she's a speedster who just makes the game look so effortless -- the most difficult plays seeming to come easy to her time and time again.
But as we come to notice in talking through her journey on this podcast - she puts the work in when nobody is watching, she comes from a family whose passion surrounds the game, and she ultimately is a competitor that strives for success for her team no matter the circumstance. It was very intriguing for me to dive deeper into Ellie's story on this episode, and I feel closer than ever to my fellow Seawolf! I hope you can grab some inspiration from her too!

Nicole Levy is this episode's guest and I could not be more excited for you all to hear more about her story. Nicole mentions her passion for the game of lacrosse a bunch in this episode, and as we get to know her on a deeper level throughout our conversation - we realize how important that is in connecting to her love for playing, coaching, and experiencing all the highs and lows that come with having a career in sports. She's been inspired by some of the all time greats, and she can absolutely consider herself one of those all time greats herself.
Having played at the professional level, being at the top of the record books at a storied program like Syracuse lacrosse, and coaching for multiple top 20 Division I programs - Nicole for sure knows a thing or two about performing at the highest level. She also shares with us where she finds her inspiration - and I think you'll find a lot of inspiration from her in the same way as you listen to this episode.

Emily Hawryschuk is this episode's guest, and I'm personally very excited for you all to hear about her journey. Emily grew up in Rochester, NY and we met at a Team USA training camp many years ago. Since then, I've grown to know her as the humble, dedicated, passionate player and person who plays with gratitude for the origins of the game and joy within herself. Throughout this episode we talk about her journey to playing for Syracuse for what would end up being 6 years due to COVID and an ACL injury in her 5th year. We also dive into the mental and physical battles she endures day in and day out to continue to be ready for the next opportunity to get out there and play.
Currently Emily has her sights set on the first ever Box Lacrosse World Championships for women this coming September of 2024. Having played alongside her, and getting the chance to train with her for this opportunity to make history now -- is incredibly special, and I'm hoping you all enjoy this conversation as much as I did.

Taylor Moreno is this episode's guest, and I couldn't be more excited for you all to hear about the ups and downs of her athletic career. She's at the top of her game, winning two back to back Athletes Unlimited Championships in 2022 and 2023 - and is currently playing on both the USA Box and Sixes training teams. She and her team won a National Championship at Carolina to top off her collegiate career in 2022. And she's dedicating herself more and more each day to coaching the goalie position that has brought her so much joy and success to the next generation.
But all that success doesn't come without struggle and obstacles. And Taylor has faced her fair share of season ending injuries, riding the bench, and being cut from teams. Our conversation throughout this episode shows an inside look on the mentality work she's done to overcome those challenges. And her journey ultimately is proof that not always the best of the best have it as easy as the outside world might assume they do! I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did.

Mary Kate Person is this episode's guest and she is one of the most entertaining and energetic people you'll hear from on the Dream On Podcast. Her energy is a trait that she constantly comes back to during this conversation, as she mentions it's one of the driving forces behind what makes her who she is as a teammate, a leader, and a person.
Mary Kate transferred to Tampa this year after playing her freshman year at Long Island University. She is a draw specialist and a midfielder for the Spartans, and was just named a Captain by her coaches for the 2024 Season. MK is also a first cadet in Tampa's ROTC program, something she feels she was drawn to pursue during her college years in order to serve in the military beyond. Throughout this episode we talk about the challenges she's overcome by looking at life with a big picture perspective and following guidance from one of her best mentors, her father Andy.
This is a fun one. I hope you enjoy!

Dana Dobbie is a name I am sure all our lacrosse people have heard, and it's most definitely for good reason. I was stoked to sit down with Dana and discuss all the angles of her lacrosse career - from growing up in Ontario in a world with no field lacrosse or social media inspiration, to becoming one of the best players in the game. Her background of playing hockey and box lacrosse growing up proved to be one of the main reasons she was able to be the Athlete's Representative at conversations amongst World Lacrosse for the sixes discipline of the game to erupt as the discipline to be played at the LA 2028 Olympics.
And she not only just represented the Athletes, she does what she does best - and she worked tirelessly to be amongst the group that has not only gotten lacrosse into the Olympics in 2028, but women's lacrosse into the Olympics for the first time in history and women's box lacrosse into the 2024 World Championships for the first time in history. Dana is just making history, and whether she likes to admit it on this episode or not - her humility, kindness, and overall dedication to her passion of the game is what has gotten her so far in this game. I'm someone who looks up to her - not only in our little lefty attacker corner of the world - but because of everything she's said in this episode. I can't wait for you to hear!

Ally Mastroianni is one of lacrosse's fastest, competitive, and most dynamic players. She played on the 2022 World Championship Gold Medal winning USA Team as my teammate, and I've been lucky enough to play with her for the last few years in Athletes Unlimited Pro Lacrosse and in training. Ally is one of the most down-to-earth people you can meet; and she showcases that energy here in this episode.
We talk through her time at North Carolina, winning National Championships and going through difficult injuries. We chat about playing with the kids in her neighborhood and how that helped her develop a special bond to lacrosse, as well as a passion for all sports and competitions. We dove into what makes up the inter-workings of her mindset and how she is able to overcome self doubt and tougher performance days. We hit on almost everything in this episode, except for us landing on the next place we should travel to together - that part we've left up to you!
Listen in for our episode with one of the greats in lacrosse, Ally Mastroianni.

Liv Vergano is one of the stars in the ACC right now, playing as an attacker and draw specialist for the Virginia Tech Hokies. Liv is someone I've known since her high school days on Long Island when she decided to convert from a long-time softball player to picking up a lacrosse stick in 9th grade. During this conversation we talk about her mentality behind never believing that it's too late to pursue your passions, the work ethic that has gotten her to where she is, and how everything happens for a reason.
Liv is inspiring young players all over the world with her natural born competitive fire that sticks out on any lacrosse field. She is never NOT going hard, and from this episode we learn that she has persevered through so many changing situations in her life because of those traits. I hope you get as inspired as I do listening into this convo with All-American, Liv Vergano.

Sean DeLaney is the celebrated author of the newest book that I've personally added into my morning mindset routine, Masterpiece in Progress. He has written other masterpieces himself, and also is a decorated life coach and the host and director of the What Got You There podcast. Throughout this conversation we talk a lot about mindset, failure and success, working through doubt and hardship, and so much more.
Each conversation I have on the Dream On Podcast, I walk away from with so much wisdom and an undeniable amount of inspiration - this episode proved no different. From discussing Sean's journey to playing college and professional lacrosse, to developing skillsets that have brought him to success in his post-lacrosse life, to his outlook on life as a father and mentor today. We uncovered a ton in this episode, and I hope you get the chance to take away as much as I did from it.
