We hope you enjoy this episode with our first listener coaching session with Ellen Clark. She was then and is now a powerful manifester! We would love to do an update episode!

We have our first guest coaching session success story! We are so excited to introduce you to Ellen Clark, our first brave listener willing to come on the podcast for coaching. And WHEW! Her manifesting power is pretty darn incredible.

Ellen recorded her coaching session with us a few months ago and unfortunately we had some technical difficulties and the recording was lost. We felt horrible because her session was so powerful. She got up close and personal with us and really allowed Jay to walk her through getting clear. While we were crying over lost recordings, Ellen was putting her coaching session to work and we are super excited to share the results during this episode.

    The work works. Period.

We would love to keep helping our listeners! If you are currently struggling to achieve a goal, manifest your dreams, or just get over the hump in an area of transformation--we are here to help. We hope you enjoy this episode we had the incredible Jessica Pryor on to discuss relationships. This episode is our number 1 downloaded episode...by a LOT. Which makes sense because Jay and Jessica are #relationshipgoals

Eek! This episode is so much fun. We get the chance to tap into the #relationshipgoals of Jay and Jessica Pryor!

Jessica is Jay's amazing wife and the mother of their two beautiful kiddos. This couple make it work by doing the work. During the episode you will get a glimpse into their lives and how they use the work to keep them focused on what matters. Jay and Jessica truly have a very special relationship but as we learn, it doesn't just happen without putting in the effort. You can literally hear the love the they have for one another and it was very fun to step back in time and see how they ended up where they are today.

We hope you enjoy this episode focusing on Step One of the Lean Inside process. We had a great time exploring each step in different episodes. But this is the best place to start AND the best place to be reminded of your foundational work.

We are super excited to get started going through the steps outlined in Jay's book, Lean Inside: 7 Steps to Personal Power. This book is truly life changing and it walks through the process Jay uses in his workshops. We invite our listeners to join us as we work through the seven steps over the next few weeks.

This week's episode give you a bit of a background on Jay and his journey to becoming a coach. If you (or a friend) have thought, "Why Jay Pryor" or "Why should a woman listen to a man as a coach?" this is a perfect opportunity to learn more. We also review Step One: Get Committed. What does that actually mean and why do we ask you to commit? We've all been there...two weeks in and it "isn't working." Why? Listen for all the info.

We also invite our listeners to join the "Doing the Work with Jay and Becca" private Facebook group and take the Commitment Pledge! We will have a special post where you can voice your commitment to the process. Each week we will have a new post about the step we discuss on the episode which will keep us all doing the work together. We hope you enjoy this episode featuring Pam Grout. She is such an incredible woman and we are so honored that she agreed to be on our podcast.

Pam Grout is a hopeless romantic who still believes the world is a beautiful place, that people are noble and that anything is possible. For a living (and she always wonders why people think that's such an important question), she writes books and articles for such places as People magazine, Men's Journal, CNN Travel and Huffington Post. She also enjoys writing letters to her daughter, but that's more about making a life than a living. She's keenly aware there's a huge difference. In making a life, she has traveled to all the world's continents, learned 59 ways to make a fort out of sofa cushions, perfected a mean tennis forehand and volunteered at a women's prison and free health clinic. Her 16th book, E-Squared: 9 Do-it-Yourself Energy Experiments to Prove your Thoughts Create your Reality, was on the New York Times bestseller list for 20 weeks and has been translated into 30 some languages.

Or for some reason our podcast service decides just not to post episodes that I actually pre-scheduled!

  • I am so incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to meet so many amazing people through this podcast. Today's guest is so dang awesome and I am so excited to introduce you to her.

Amy Fowler is from our kickass community of Lawrence, KS and she is doing some pretty kickass things. Her blog, Raising Someone Else's Children, and Other Animals is an official "must read" along with her journey as a writer makes Amy an incredibly interesting listen. We cover a little bit of everything--from her blog, to literally raising someone else's children to living within the LGBTQ+ community and infertility.

A little more background on Amy with her official bio--

"My name is Amy Lauren-not-Farrah Fowler. I grew up in Wichita, KS, but now make my home in Lawrence, the only dot of blue in a sea of red. I share a home with my partner, sometimes his two children, always one surly Boston Terrier, and one Scruffy Mutt. I make a living as both as an American Sign Language-English interpreter and Cued Language Transliterator. I write to express my convictions and engage my demons.

I am currently writing a collection of essays about my experiences as an infertility survivor. As a side project, I recently started a blog called, "Raising Someone Else's Children, and Other Animals," in which I share my experiences as a step-parent and a co-parent, some of my experiences around infertility, my perspectives on life as a member of the LGBTQ+ community (my partner recently began his hormonal transition to male), and musings on my love for dogs. You can find my blog at raisingsomeoneelseschildrenandotheranimals.wordpress.com. I have been a practicing interpreter for twenty years. I recently started focusing on my writing with the intention of sharing my infertility journey. Since getting serious about writing, the Universe has aligned for me in such a way that I know that this is something I am meant to do, for myself and for others. I was recently awarded a fellowship to the prestigious Idyllwild Arts Academy in California for their summer writers week, which takes place this July."

  • Seriously two episodes in a row?? ACK!! It is Erin Brown!!! (Yup, fangirling again!)

We are just thrilled to have Erin back on the podcast to chat about her new book, trauma, the big stuff being created with Jay and so much more. Erin was one of our original guests two years ago (wow...two years!) and she has continued to kick ass and take names. We are so incredibly blessed to have her as part of our tribe! If you haven't met Erin yet, check out the original episode here.

A little more background on Erin with her official bio--

    "Everything changed for me when...

I found out I was having a baby girl. I realized in that moment that all I knew how to teach her was how to hate herself.

I'd spent my life hating my body, believing in the false notion that until I was able to be beautiful in a very specific way that I was not worthy. Of love. Acceptance. Good things.

I'd grown up in a cultural narrative that women are to be small, ashamed, quiet and of service to everyone but themselves. I'd experienced abuse and trauma as though it was a right of passage. I blamed myself for violence at others' hands.

I wanted to give my daughter a fighting chance at autonomy, self-governance outside of the confines I'd been handed. But to do so I had to embody something completely different.

From there the journey toward myself has been full of facing my own darkness. Uncovering uncomfortable lies I'd been telling myself. Looking at my past head on. Layers on layers of damaging ideas about myself and others. But at each new layer I find myself feeling more free from the impossible expectations I used to worship.

I aspire to live big. To live in my body without fear or shame. To use my voice passionately in alignment with my own values. To take wonderful care of myself for the sole reason that I deserve great care.

I aim to be the kind of woman I want my daughter to look up to. I share my journey to help other women face their own altars of self-deprecation. As these "rules" work so well only because we agree to them, practice them and teach them in our homes.

Revolution through exploration of self. Living by values of our own choosing. Challenging one another to do the same.

The way forward is in. I hope you'll join me."

  • We have had several requests to do a flip through the book type of episode and it was another perfect page landing when Jay hit on dealing with your SMALL. If you haven't revisited this area recently, we highly recommend it! Or if you are new to the work this is a very important area to look at...you SMALL being that nasty, monkey mind that beats you up and tells you how wrong you are. We use each letter to describe what our SMALL is for us as an individual (Ex: S for Snarky, M for Mean, etc.)

So, as per usual we went on a fairly large tangent but we promise we do land back at SMALL! :)

  • We are excited to bring you another kick ass female entrepreneur this week, Priscilla Rose. Priscilla is the CEO of The Genysys Group and the author of "The Future Belongs to Those Who Dare: Choosing Your Life Through Strategic Futuring." She has an incredible story and an interesting approach to the work. I literally realized at the end of our interview that I had said about two words the entire time as I listened intently to her perspective on the work.

A little more background on Priscilla with her official bio--

"Priscilla Rose began her professional career as a manager in higher education for 10 years while pursuing her Undergrad degree and then Master's degree in Business (Human and Organizational Development). Through a consulting partnership to assist a family-owned business that had just undergone a succession, she first connected with Genysys' founder, Ray Rood, and was able to successfully introduce Genysys' vision-driven change model to support a shift in the organization that produced significant bottom-line results.

After experiencing the power of the Genysys process, in 2009 Priscilla made the daring proclamation to Ray that she envisioned herself running his company, Genysys in her future. Through a series of circumstances, this vision has come to fruition much sooner than either of them anticipated. As CEO since 2013, Priscilla focuses her time leading Genysys its own succession and vision of becoming a thought leader in the area of vision-driven change as they support the development of the leaders and organizations of the future.

As a part of their own succession, Priscilla has collaborated with her predecessor to write a book called The Future Belongs to Those Who Dare, which tells their story and also the steps they take clients through to enable them to get clear about their own future or that of their company."

  • You have NO idea how excited we are about this week's special guest! Dr. Sarah McKay is a neuroscientist who specializes in women's brains! Holy crap. Could we have found a more perfect person for this podcast? Dr. Sarah is truly amazing. Beyond brilliant, hilarious and down to earth...we were easily turned into huge fans.

You might be asking what the heck does neuroscience have to do with transformation work? Everything. This is real science. This is how the brain operates. Once we know how the brain works we can train the brain to work the way we WANT it to work.

For this week's topic in our private Facebook group we will be talking about the brain and all that it does to keep us from experiencing true transformation. What are your experiences with each? What methods are you using to connect the mind and body? Come and share your experience with us! Join us in the group today!

A little more background on Dr. Sarah with her official bio--

"Dr Sarah McKay is an increasingly influential brain health commentator, neuroscientist and TEDx speaker who specialises in translating brain science research into simple, actionable strategies for peak performance, creativity, mental health and wellbeing.

Sarah is the author of The Women's Brain Book (Hachette 2018) the director of The Neuroscience Academy, which offers professional development programs that focus on applying neuroscience, positive psychology and mind-body medicine to life and work.

Dr McKay completed a MSc and PhD in neuroscience at Oxford University in the Department of Physiology, Anatomy and Genetics. She sums her PhD thesis up in four words, ‘Nature, Nurture or Neuroplasticity?’ After five years at the lab bench conducting neuroplasticity research, Sarah worked up the courage to hang up her lab coach and pursue a career teaching others about the mind and brain. She lives on the Northern Beaches in Sydney, Australia with her husband and together they are raising two little surfer dudes.

Sarah combines a wry sense of humour with an uncompromising mind and a natural ability at making the complex simple and practical. Whether she is writing, speaking or teaching, she tells impeccably researched evidence-based stories in a simple, fun and compelling way.
