This week Ranae had the pleasure of speaking to Darren Kennedy, Irish television presenter, fashion columnist and style entrepreneur from Dublin. As a well loved personality on our screens, he exudes confidence and charisma. However, Darren recently opened up about his struggle with anorexia in his teens and early 20’s. It was a pleasure to hear him speak about this really important issue and to start opening up the conversation when it comes to men suffering with eating disorders and disordered eating.

In this week's episode, Ranae speaks to Amanda from Dublin who has battled with anorexia for most of her adult life. She has been treated as an inpatient multiple times. Amanda is in a place of active illness and her bravery in speaking to Ranae for this episode was astounding. This must have been very difficult for Amanda, but it is important for people to see the reality of what an Eating Disorder does. Perhaps even saying these things out loud, will lessen their power?
