  • Janey welcomes Lauren Pratt on this episode for a conversation about the differences between native and invasive plants. Lauren is a lifetime gardener and the founding principal designer of Pratt Landscape Design.     Claudia Weekes is a Master Gardener and registered dietitian from Georgia. Claudia’s husband was in a car accident a few years ago which left him paralyzed and with a traumatic brain injury. Claudia’s husband loved gardening before the accident so she was determined to get him back out there, but this time needed to think about accessibility when planning their new space.

    Join Janey and Claudia as they discuss some great things to think about when planning an accessible garden like wide pathways for wheelchairs, raised beds to prevent bending over, special tools and more! Claudia wanted to ensure there wasn’t a place in the garden he couldn’t access and is sharing her insight with all of us!

  • Days before the country was shut down in 2020 due to the pandemic, Melissa learned her child was diagnosed with autism. As a coping mechanism for the stress of the time, Melissa’s husband encouraged her to get out into the garden. Little did Melissa know, that encouragement would change everything.
