  • Unlocking the Truth: The Power of No Private Thoughts - A Tribe of Christ Movie Workshop with David Hoffmeister

The course teaches that thoughts are either extended or projected, with God extending creative thoughts of pure spirit.

Jesus teaches that we have real thoughts but are unaware of them. These real thoughts are pure spirit and thoughts we think with God. As long as we have private minds, a belief in private thoughts becomes like a dense cloud covering the real thoughts. However, the light remains, and the real thoughts continue on. When we become aware of our real thoughts, we become aware of the Christ thoughts, which are pure, loving, and have no distortions.

Projections, or ego thoughts, can create a private world that cannot be shared, like a nightmare. Jesus calls this projection "littleness" or "madness," it is expected to describe these private thoughts as judgments, grievances, evaluations, and comparisons. Jesus teaches that if you believe you have private thoughts, you are judging yourself.

This movie workshop features a new format of movie-making: three movies are combined to create an experience beyond mere entertainment.

  • “Witnesses of Unity: Unveiling the Fallacy of Perception” A Tribe of Christ Movie Commentary by David Hoffmeister

The Bible emphasizes that what goes around comes around, and the belief system in the world of idols is rooted in the belief in the ego, which is the belief in lack and scarcity. This belief leads to twisted ego laws, such as reciprocity and giving to get.

The movie commentary also highlights the importance of understanding that all we give is given to ourselves, leading to the return to creation and divine innocence. The mind is always under perfect divine providence, but it can project error onto the world, forgetting the oneness of the kingdom of heaven. The universal principle of giving and receiving is the same, and the real question is what we are offering.

The movie commentary aims to show us the fallacy of the perceptual world, where things seem different and have different purposes than one unified purpose of forgiveness. It argues that the only way to come to the truth is to draw witnesses of sharing, giving, caring, and equality. The equality of the miracle shows that everyone is equally blessed, loved, and equal.

The movie presents examples of the getting mechanism, greed, and control and contrasts the experiences of brothers and sisters worldwide who put these principles into practice. By contrasting greed and grace, control and sharing, our minds can make decisions that serve everyone or anything.

  • Experience the courage to follow your inner guidance! - Tribe of Christ Movie Gathering with David Hoffmeister

In this movie gathering, David revisits the World War II era in August 1939, just before the start of the war. The movie is based on prayer and inner guidance, with David emphasizing that following inner guidance is essential. Resisting it can shut off the building of miracles and confidence in the heart and mind. David also shares quotes from Jesus: "My control can take over everything that does not matter, while my power is greater than my strength."

David compares this movie to The Matrix, where Neo hears the voice of Morpheus saying, "I can guide you, but you must do exactly as I say." David emphasizes the importance of faith, trust, and deep prayer in the context of life or death. Following guidance is the way out.

  • "There's really only one of us." - A Tribe of Christ Movie Commentary by David Hoffmeister.

In this movie commentary, David focuses on the unity of life. He reminds us that 'A Course in Miracles' is a radical redefinition of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, focusing on teaching only love for what is what one is. This interpretation of the crucifixion emphasizes the importance of finding love in one's life and with God. The phrase "there's really only one of us" is used to emphasize the unity of the mind, which is not limited to the five senses. The belief in separation has generated a cosmic projection of time and space with different cultures, languages, and planets. Jesus teaches that the spirit never enters the world and that the world is a screen of projections.

The first lesson of the Course is "Nothing I see means anything at all." This realization can make everything we perceive, including the body and the five senses, irrelevant. The awareness of the Spirit is also important, as the Spirit doesn't die but is pure love. This awareness can set us free from the belief system of separation, allowing us to see that our mistakes, achievements, and flaws are nothing. The first lesson of the Course is a powerful reminder that we are all One and that everything we perceive is an illusion.

  • Session 7 - "Holistic Vision: Unveiling the World Beyond Ego and Illusions" - Closing Session with David and Jason

David and Jason end this year's Strawberry Fields Festival by talking about the purpose of life and emphasizing the importance of seeing the world holistically, involving faith and trust that everyone will play their part perfectly. The ego attempts to divide the world into roles and categories, organizing it based on a false preference system. The first principle of the 50 miracle principles is there's no order of difficulty in miracles and no hierarchy of illusions.

Jesus saw the world without a preference and felt the universal love of God, radiating and sharing inclusively with everyone. Jesus was open and cordial with the Zealots, who were angry and trying to overthrow the Romans. The focus is on cultivating a deeper understanding of the world, not trying to forgive people but letting Jesus take us deeper into our minds to see the world as a whole. Jesus takes great care in describing his role as an elder brother, not placing himself above or below people. He emphasizes that the body is a learning device for the mind, and the ego often over-evaluates it. A personality is an over-evaluation of a learning device.

  • Session 6 - “Perception Unveiled: From Cracked Mirrors to Unified Awareness” Movie Night with David

In the second movie night at the Strawberry Fields Festival David discusses the importance of changing one's internal perspective and perception of the world. He suggest that before accepting a correction, one must admit to having a problem, such as a perceptual problem, which allows the Holy Spirit to work to change one's perception.

This problem can be likened to schizophrenia, where multiple voices and a belief in a break from reality characterize a split mind. David explains that a perceptual problem is like a cracked mirror, shattered into trillions of different parts. This cracked perception is not holistic, as Eastern Masters emphasize. Unified awareness is about wholeness, and the movie Tonight demonstrates the need for holistic perception to find peace. David emphasizes to see the world in a more balanced and holistic way rather than focusing on individual aspects.

  • Session 4 - Strawberry Fields Festival 2024 - Morning Session with Q&A for David Hoffmeister

David starts the session by talking about music. Music is a higher form of communication that goes directly to our hearts, bypassing concept analysis and intellectual maneuverings. It is a theme in today's activities, as it serves as the soundtrack of our experience on Earth. The movie tonight will be strong in the music and collaboration themes, as Jesus teaches us that miracles are a collaborative venture. Jesus also teaches us that the solitary journey to God fails because it is of joining and connecting.

David emphasizes the importance of understanding that our union is in our minds and that we share the same mind with God. Jesus teaches us that our earthly conditions differ from the kingdom of heaven and that we long for a sense of connection, relaxation, ease, flow, and harmony. This longing is our natural condition, and Jesus tells us we long for these things because it is how we were created.

Competition can hinder our connection and unity. Jesus encourages us to come together without the pressure of productivity or trying to forge a desired outcome. Instead, we should come together like in jam sessions where everyone plays their part, letting the music come through naturally without any sense of trying to direct or control it personally.

  • Session 3 - "Awakening Across Generations: The Spiritual Movement of the 1970s" - Movie Night with David Hoffmeister

The movie tells the story of a counterculture movement in the 1970s that became American history's most significant spiritual awakening. The movement was driven by disillusionment with the Vietnam War and the rise of hippies and drug users seeking meaning in life. Singers like Janis Joplin and The Grateful Dead also emerged as part of this movement.

The movie follows a young preacher who meets a traditional pastor. This meeting is orchestrated to expand consciousness and let go of the past. The traditional generation meets the new generation, but Jesus is behind the meeting.

The movie explores the spiritual journey of a young man from the Midwest who moves west after leaving his father behind. He searches for meaning and finds solace in his story. The movie highlights the difficulty people face in spiritual awakening due to their upbringing and the Christian language.

People have faced resistance to A Course in Miracles, particularly those raised with a Christianity based on sin, penance, and sacrifice. Many people have turned off Jesus for fear of him, but the movie provides a chance to see the potential for spiritual awakening.

  • Session 1 - "Embracing Divine Trust: A Journey from Dreams to Awakening" 🌟 Strawberry Fields Festival 2024 with David Hoffmeister and Jason Warwick

The opening session of the Strawberry Fields Festival 2024 starts and ends with three songs from the RISE band. David and Jason did the welcoming talk, and David felt the synchronicity with the day's lesson, which emphasizes the importance of placing the future in God's hands, a concept that requires enormous trust. This trust is crucial as we have been conditioned to learn the past and plan the future, often leading to ambition and a focus on education and jobs. Trust is the foundation of a teacher of God and allows us to relax and feel divine ease.

David and Jason welcome all participants to their little experience of paradise. They first came out in 2009 and started hosting celebrations and festivals in this rural canyon. One of Eric's songs, "Let Life Unfold," reminds us to let life unfold by allowing our experiences in this world to be given to us. The prayer, "Holy Spirit, decide for God for me," encourages us to let the Holy Spirit paint a picture of our lives, letting the light beams shine through and light up the dream.

Jesus tells us to go from nightmares to waking, with a transition between happy dreams and gentle waking. This process helps us to feel softer and gentler, making the struggle and challenge easier.

  • "From Illusion to Reality: The Mind's Creative Power" - A Tribe of Christ Movie Commentary by David Hoffmeister

In this exploration of consciousness and perception, David delves into Jesus' teachings and the concept of manifesting. We discover that our minds hold immense power beyond mere brain function. By shifting from wrong-mindedness to right-mindedness, forgiving, and recognizing our creative potential, we can move from illusion to a more authentic reality. Love, light, and holistic perception guide our journey toward awakening.

Jesus teaches us that we are not victims of anything we perceive in the world because we made it up with the power of our minds. By coming to a pristine state of mind of non-judgment, we can look upon the happy dream or the real world.

  • In Purpose there are no possessions, no ownership, and nothing to protect or defend. In Purpose there is a feeling of timelessness. In Purpose there are no goals in form and no expectations or agendas. In Purpose nothing is clung to, organized, or planned. All things are welcomed in the gentle Gaze of forgiveness. Everything is included in mind and nothing is seen as separate or apart. All things work together for good for there is no attempt to judge or divide what is obviously whole and complete. Certainty of Purpose yields certainty. And contentment comes at last to a mind that is Still an instant. Nothing else could ever be.

  • "Forgiveness and Awakening: Embracing the Holy Instant" - Movie Commentary by David Hoffmeister

The Saturday Movie Workshop presents a fantastic film that opens us to the Holy Instant and God's love through relationships. It uses the metaphor of interpersonal relationships and the Holy Spirit to help us understand the truth of Life and the importance of relationships.

The film uses the symbol of interpersonal relationships to take us beyond the personal perception of things and toward the vast perspective of the Holy Spirit. Right-minded seeing, which is the residence of the Holy Spirit, can only see love. When giving ourselves over to spiritual awakening, we want the perspective of the Holy Spirit, which is what forgiveness is. Jesus does not see error, and we must raise our minds to the light and cleanse our minds of erroneous ego beliefs so that we can see with the vision of Christ and the light of truth. We need the Holy Spirit and Jesus to help us separate the true from the false because human perception combines right-minded and wrong-minded perceptions.

  • “Beyond Perception: A Journey to True Awakening” A Tribe of Christ Movie Commentary by David Hoffmeister

David is excited to present a new classic movie, which has won many awards. The movie highlights the importance of unlearning the perceptual world and the five senses present with it. The world is a linear nightmare that has been accepted as real, and our attempts to establish an identity and make-believe body personality are not valid. Jesus teaches that we come without a self and make one as we go along, taking on roles such as mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, and parents.

The movie touches on many deep themes, such as suicide, death, memory, opportunity, autonomy, possession, ownership, control, jealousy, commitment, unlearning, discovering purpose, curiosity, independence, repression, pleasure, pain, hedonism, money, sex, poverty, abundance, philosophy, socialism, and forgiveness. With the Holy Spirit's help, we can empty our minds of false concepts, beliefs, and emotions, leading to a more fulfilling life.

David also discusses ACIM Lesson 153, "In my defenselessness, my safety lies," which emphasizes the importance of staying with Jesus in the Spirit and letting go of the falsity of the ego. David hopes this movie will help address these daily urges, desires, and distractions and bring the mind back to forgiveness. Hopefully, this movie will be the last one we ever need, as it touches something profound and essential inside.

  • "Awakening from the Dream: Embracing Atonement and the Illusion of Time" - A Tribe of Christ Movieworshop Commentary by David Hoffmeister

The workbook lesson of the day, lesson 139, on accepting atonement for ourselves, is synchronized with this movie workshop, which shows the end of choice.

Jesus's teachings about perception 2,000 years ago emphasize the importance of distorted perception. When our minds are asleep and when we dream of exile from God, our perception is distorted. This distorted perception leads to delusions, distortions, and fantasies, which are fiction and unreal. The defining characteristic of linear time and space is their unrealness.

The ego, a tricky puff of nothingness, makes up illusions and dreams, covering itself in the unconscious mind. This complex world of time and space is temporary, constantly shifting and changing. The first change experienced was the fall from grace, as there is no such thing as change in heaven. Jesus tells us that as we move toward the light in our spiritual awakening, we still experience fear associated with every change. This fear and terror often arise when we move towards the light beneath the darkness. Jesus emphasizes that we cannot judge our advances from our retreats; we must move toward the light.

  • “The Illusion of Time: Unraveling Ego, Guilt, and Unconditional Love” - David Hoffmeister in a Tribe of Christ Movie Commentary.

Today’s movie talk invites us to dissolve past attachments and judgments, which is a common human experience marked by guilt, fear, and pain. Undoing Special Relationships and Clearing Away the Cobwebs of the Past. For years, films have guided us toward enlightenment, emphasizing the importance of the present—the closest thing to eternity. Mystics and sages, like Ram Dass and Eckhart Tolle, urge us to live in the now, the gateway to eternity. Yet, staying present is challenging; our minds wander to the past or future, which are merely distractions from the now. Jesus taught that the past is over and the future is imagined, both defenses against the present. We must break free from this cycle, recognizing that the past is not our current reality. The journey is inward, to embrace and love the present moment.

  • Awakening to Spirit: Embracing Eternity Beyond the Ego’s Realm

The movie workshop addresses the authority problem, which refers to believing in a world separate from the Spirit. This belief can lead to death, sickness, suffering, and pain, as well as ego rebellion. Jesus' teachings emphasize that we are guilty in time and guiltless in eternity.

The movie workshop also highlights the importance of understanding oneself in the environment in which we were created, namely the Spirit. The cosmos and world are the ego's playing field, with our schedule like a football game. Moving closer to pure nonjudgment makes us feel like our life is not ours.

We are birthed in God, and we value the images of time and space less. As we forgive, we grow deeper into forgiveness and burst into laughter, resulting from inner joy and innocence. This journey toward spiritual awakening can be long and challenging, but the reward is beyond everything we can imagine.

  • "The Divine Script: Exploring Destiny Through Cinema" - A Tribe of Christ Movie Workshop with David Hoffmeister

Today's movie journey delves deeply into the metaphysical realm, intertwining comedy with the profound exploration of destiny. As we embark on this cinematic voyage, we're invited to ponder the intricate tapestry of existence, where destiny guides our ultimate purpose: knowing God and recognizing our divine identity.

In David's narrative, destiny transcends the limitations of time and space, echoing teachings found in spiritual texts such as Workbook Lesson 158. The Holy Spirit leads us on a journey of self-discovery, unraveling the mysteries of destiny. Drawing parallels to cinematic works like "Family Man," the film explores the notion of parallel universes and the multiverse, where Jesus orchestrates an array of potential lifetime scenarios.

These scenarios, unfolding simultaneously, challenge conventional perceptions of time and offer a glimpse into the boundless nature of existence. Through the cinematic medium, we are reminded that the true purpose of time is to lead us to the realization that time itself is an illusion. As we immerse ourselves in this metaphysical odyssey, guided by the wisdom of the Holy Spirit, we are beckoned to awaken to the eternal present moment, where destiny unfolds in harmony with the divine plan.

  • "Quantum Love and the Power of Transformation"—Easter Retreat's third Final Session with David, Lisa, Kirsten, Jason, and Erik.

David and his guests discuss forgiveness as a miracle, transforming us into newness and aliveness. This newness is present in our hearts, as the past is gone, making us feel present and alive, and that we are joined in this holy instant to be used and share the good news of this transformation. They recall their childhood experiences of Easter, where they were lost in something, but today, they realize the power of the resurrection and the opportunity to experience this transformation.

They also discuss unconditional love, which is not limited to the ego boxes but rather expansive love that cannot be squeezed into these boxes. Forgiveness is about letting go of the past and experiencing purity and innocence. Quantum love, a theme song in their community, is another example of unconditional love.

Quantum love is a mysterious field of energy that connects everything in the universe, unlike the traditional definitions of love. Quantum physicists were afraid to publish their findings because they couldn't understand them. Einstein, for example, was scared of the quantum field, calling it "spooky action at a distance."

The Jesus: A Gospel of Love Easter Retreat, held from March 29-31, was a transformative three-day in-person event at La Casa de Milagros in Chapala, Mexico. During this retreat, David Hoffmeister unveiled the true essence of Jesus as a symbol of pure love through enlightening talks, parables, Q&As, a movie shared with profound commentary, and inspiring live music.
